I could completely agree with Beth G’s review. For $ 65 + tax for my girlfriend and I, I couldn’t have asked for more. Loved the bathroom, pedestal sink, white tile and very clean. Had a classic feel. The room had a very high pitched ceiling, bed was comfortable, microwave and fridge worked great. The wiring at the TV was exposed and looked a little unfinished but that’s nitpicking. Overall, it was excellent. Definitely recently renovated and freshly painted. Would definitelt stay here again.

CLEAN! Unique, old-timey(but not dated or worn) locally owned motel. I’ve stayed in two different rooms over three different stays, and found rooms to be simple, but comfortable, and super clean. I think all the rooms have been renovated under the current(new) owner. Clean, safe, convenient to downtown and the Park at a great price. What else could you ask? An excellent value at the entrance of skyline drive and the Shenandoah National Park.

Absolutely horrible service trying to make a reservation. Debbie is so rude I changed my mind from going there. I used to live in VA and now I live in NY. Wanted to visit Shenandoah Park for a weekend getaway. First off I asked her if there was any way I could check in at noon Saturday instead of 2pm since I would have been driving around killing time since 8a. m…after driving overnight Friday… after explaining the reason for my request twice she unwillingly agreed and from that point was blatantly rude. She’s like, «you’re coming from new York and you have a VA number??»…in a manner that was implying I was lying… which naturally made me explain that I never changed my number when I moved. Then she asked for the card number… the expiration and the security code at the back. Maybe I need to get out more but I can’t remember needing the security code to make a reservation… usually I just pay when I get there or pay online… it just doesn’t seem right to give someone everything they need to go use my card. She responded to my concern with«this is how it’s done every single day and I never have issues». I didn’t want to deal with the hassle of researching another place at the last minute so I unwillingly told her. Then she was like«yes but is that the real security code?» «Yes ma’am» was my response. Then she said, «and the billing zip code!»…basically barking at me. At that point I was done. Even though I was uncomfortable about the process all she needed to do was reassure me that my information would be safe… not make me feel like I was being difficult. Customer service isn’t rocket science Debbie. I’m sorry I had to give 1 star to review because u deserve 3 thumbs down.
