Save your money and stay somewhere else! I stayed at this hotel for one night and couldn’t get out fast enough. The headboard in the room had sweat stains on it(see picture), the room smelled incredibly musty and it was not clean. This hotel is in desperate need of a renovation!

No view of beach; no parking on one side of the hotel, so we had to walk a long way with our bags. Room smelled damp/moldy. Bedspreads were patched & one looked downright dirty, as was the chair. Newly remodeled; carpet & furnishings are new also. Shower not well maintained(streaks of grime on shower enclosure). Large LCDTV, refrigerator & microwave, hair dryer, iron & ironing board, great WiFi reception.

I just returned home tonight from an eight-night stay at the Days Inn Fort Walton Beach. I ended up at Days Inn because the hotel next door was full. It was inexpensive, which was fine by me since I was on official military travel. I wasn’t looking for anything too fancy, so I really wasn’t too picky about the Days Inn. When I arrived on July 14, check-in was a breeze. The woman at the front desk explained the internet, breakfast, and availability of a washer and dryer to me. Upon entering my room, I was impressed with the beds. The rest of the room appeared«aged» if you will. However, the room smelled and looked clean, the air conditioner was running to keep the room cool, and it had a television, microwave, and mini-refrigerator. I really did not think the room was bad. The only issue I really had while I was staying here is that it seemed to take them a while to clean the rooms some days. For instance, on July 21, I returned from work just before 5pm. They still had not serviced my room yet. Since I was tired, I just put the do not disturb sign up and they did not bother me. This is minor, as I was checking out this morning anyway. Otherwise, the service personnel were friendly and courteous! It’s not a Hilton or Sheraton, but if you are on a lower budget, this hotel really isn’t an awful place to stay. It was quiet and I was able to sleep very well on their new beds! Stayed July 2011, traveled on business

Liked: Cheap, free decent wifi, within a couple miles of the beaches Disliked: Room smelled(musty carpet/cheap wood furniture), sink and shower drained slowly If you don’t mind the old smell, then this place is ok.

I stay at hotels about 7 month out of the year. I’m rating this as compared to other Days Inn’s around the US. Currently the hotel is understaffed it seems so the rooms don’t get turned over until 4 or 5 which is a little annoying when you get back earlier than that from work and it’s not done. The rooms are a good size. Beds are comfy. It claims to be newly renovated, but the décor/paint/carpet is pretty rough in spots, but it doesn’t really matter. There are refrigerators and microwaves. They give you soap and shampoo but not conditioner. There’s a small continental breakfast which has waffles, oatmeal, mini-donuts, etc but has no fruit which was a bummer. There is on-site coin laundry, but it’s outside under the stairwell which is pretty weird. The pool is nice enough, but you’re next to the ocean so go there. You don’t have direct access to the beach, but you are 1.5 miles from public access beach and you are only 15 miles away from Navarre Beach Which is unreal and only 45 miles from the old Civil War fort Fort Pickens. Happy hunting.
