Pleasant surprise… generous portions, great price & awesome service!

Bottle service!!! I’ll only get bottle service here if it’s in the upstairs VIP area. You have to get more bottles, but its worth it. You get to hang with the dj, have your own cocktail waitress, and not have to bump into all those sweaty people below. Go big, or go home! — – Edit: I always find myself ending my night at DTF at Envy! Dancing the night away. Well until we get kicked out! And honestly, I use to love Envy. But not after the last visit! They started charging cover. Come on, it’s 1am. Last call is in 30 mins. What’s the point? And as my group was walking away, the bouncer tried to negotiate the cover charge price with us??? Uhhh Wth?! Either charge or don’t charge. But don’t run after us trying to negotiate price. THISAIN’T CHINATOWN! «Apparently they have been charging for awhile now”– I don’t think so. I come here a lot. And I really mean that! 4 stars for the upstairs VIP bottle service. 2 stars for the cover charge that they have been» charging for awhile now”.

Place is a tad bit small and attracts a younger crowd, but the décor is modern and nice. They have buy-one-get-one specials which makes the booze cheap. They’re not stingy on the alcohol too!

Good times at this bar/lounge/club but man is the whole layout of this place awkward. Small little place on the strip of hot spots in DT Fullerton. I went here a couple times in my hay-day when I attended CSUF, went once post-college and they were both fun times. I love anywhere that I don’t have to wait in line for. On one occasion we had a booth, on another we stood around and danced. Gets pretty stuffy in the back area since it’s way small, but the crowd is mixed which I love(locals, visitors, students) Booze isn’t too pricey either. There is also a private upstairs area(which I’m assuming you have to pay for) where the DJ& his groupies hang out.

Lame bouncer who only lets in friends and regulars… mainly guys… uh? Kept letting in guys instead of our group of girls. Guess they were aiming for a sausage fest. Bouncer was straight up rude and uncalled for when we asked if they were at capacity and if the«line» of 3 people ahead of us(2 guys and a girl) would be moving any time soon. Waste of time. Have been to Envy before and was not that impressed. This pretty much guaranteed we wont ever be back. Step up your game!

9÷25÷11 Of all the places(bars we went to) so far in DTF, I think we felt most at home here… the décor was nice… the bar area was nice and clean… Liked the flat screens of jelly fish… lol tried their peachtini… pretty good for $ 9!

In from out of town & our local friends were giving us the grand tour of downtown Fullerton when we stopped in for a drink here. It was a weekday night(a Tuesday night I believe), and the place was completely dead. We were literally the only ones in the entire bar, but that didn’t stop them from blaring the music(really, from outside you would have thought this was the biggest party of the decade the way the music was pumping). The bartender chic was nice and poured the drinks STRONG, and I was thrilled to hear that they were having a Grey Goose buy-one-get-one special. Not that I needed more than one with how strong they were. Would like to see this place on a busier night, and when we move to OC I’m sure we’ll be back to check it out.

3.5 stars Was here on a weekday and the place was quiet. Only a few seated at the bar, and we were the only ones to sit at a table. There was no server. The bartender was the only girl working by herself. It took her a while to get to us, so we chatted for a long time before even getting to look at a menu. We ordered the Kobe beef sliders with Truffle fries and the Lobster capellini. Both were actually pretty good. The fries were yummy! We ended up feeling sorry for the bartender who had to keep coming out of the bar to tend to our needs. She gave us some chocolates and apologized for the delays, but really, it wasn’t her fault. She was ALONE! Even though weekdays are slow, a restaurant or lounge should have at least one server and one bartender, or at the least have a manager(owner) on the floor helping out.

Kind of a last resort. If you don’t want to pay cover and are just looking for a place to drink more and maybe dance a little, Envy does the trick. But you don’t really go out just to go to Envy. You randomly end up here. Phrases heard coming out of my mouth at Envy: –What are we doing here? –Let’s get another drink. –This dude keeps bumping into me. –[crazy eyes] –At least there was no cover. –I feel old. –Didn’t they play this song already? –Let’s get another drink. –Are you drunk yet? –Let’s get another drink. I’ve had good times at Envy, I must admit. But the crowd is young-ish and the actual venue is nothing to write home about. Will probably end up here sometime in the future, but my quick tip will probably«why am I here again?»

About 2 years later since I have been here, and nothing has changed much. All of the other club/lounges had covers and waits so obviously it was suspicious when we were able to walk right in. Mind you, as we were walking in, someone leaving had said there was no life in there and it’ll suck the energy out of you. Music was okay… crowd was meh, like really MEH. Our group of 5 was the only one dancing at around 11:30 until swarms of people invaded our personal space. I KNOW we brought the party that night. –5 stars to the dude that grabbed my beer bottle, took a swig, and walked away like he did nothing at all. I guess this is a rare instance where I would actually want herpes in hopes that he would contract it. You already got in for free– why not just pay for your own drink loser… I kinda was irked because he was dancing next to our group all night, and I bet his friends had no clue he was capable of being this disgusting. I ended my last review of this place with«Maybe I’m getting too old for this.» I would like to change it to… I am definitely too old for this.

This is my second time going to Envy and if it were not for my friends the music is terrible. The DJ that night was not mixing the music well. At some points my friends and I would pause because we had no idea what the DJ was trying to play. I have not idea if it was for a dramatic effect but he needs work. It was a Thursday night! Majority of the people who came to the back to the dance floor left. It was THAT bad. I was a bit disappointed because the first time I came to Envy I loved it. There is a high chance I will not be coming back. Hopefully the music gets better. Bar: drinks worth it! $ 9 a drink is pretty good especially if your getting an adiós. :). Downside I had to ask for cherries. If the music was better I would give them four stars so hopefully that will change. Good news: there is no cover charge for both ladies and gents.

Came here 2 years ago with a group of friends. Homeboy of ours was spinning for the night so we decided to all go to support him. I forgot if there was a cover charge or not for us, but I don’t think there was? Regardless, we talked our way into the lounge ’cause our friend was a dj! Oh and ’cause a few of us weren’t 21 yet so that’s prolly why they were hesitant. This place is hella freakin’ tiny and cramped. Hardly any room to walk or move around when it gets crackin’ Bar area is chaotic because there’s barely any room to stand. Dance flo was hecka teeeny! There was an upstairs level I think but didn’t get the chance to see what was up thurr. I don’t think I’d come back again hahaha the crowd ain’t all that.

Checked it out on a bumpin’ Friday eve as part of a continuing quest to find a favorite night spot in SoCal. It looks and fields like a posh, trendy, somewhat pretentious nightclub, with a fairly diverse clientele. Nothing particularly noteworthy about. Except, of course, for the fact that it was there that I heard the single strangest thing that anyone has ever said to me. I was chatting with a young lady at one of the booths, and I had mentioned that I was from the New York/Connecticut area. This information processed for a while until she blurted out, in the most excited tone of voice I’ve ever heard, «WAIT…You’ve been to TIMESSQUARE!!!» Then she turns to her friend«He’s been to –TIMESSQUARE– !!!» Someone help me here. Is this a SoCal thing? Do people around here think that the streets of Times Square are paved with gold and packed with unicorns delivering chocolate to passersby? I’ve studied human behavior for seven years and I’m stumped on this one.

I was looking for a place for my 21st birthday and my friend suggested ENVY. So I read the reviews on Unilocal and decided this was the place. I was the second to arrive at my party, my friend was already at the bar with her drink. When I joined her the owner gave me my first legal drink on the house after she told him it was my 21st birthday. THANKSJOHN! He gave me the entire back room for my birthday dinner. I read that they’re not very busy around 6pm so I thought it was the perfect time for a private dinner and in time for happy hour and it was. We were able to be as loud and obnoxious as we wanted not having to worry about bothering the people around us. The kobe sliders were delicious! It was the most raved around on Unilocal and there’s a reason why! a MUSTGET. The ravioli. Okay, it’s not just because I was completely intoxicated because I stopped by again, SOBER, for the ravioli and it is BOMB! Seriously puts all the Italian Restaurants I’ve been to TOSHAME! OMG I craveeeeee these raviolis and have not been able to find place to top them. Thanks for making my 21st birthday amazing envy lounge !!

Came here on my Quarter-Century Birthday(Saturday night). There is no parking fee at all! Though, it is pretty hard looking for a spot to park. If you plan on coming to this place, DO plan to come early. The venue IS very small! I read it’s small, but man! It’s SMALL. Don’t be discouraged to come. Though it’s small, the interior is beautiful. Very serene and calming. Music’s good. DJ comes in after 10 and before 10 there is a live band. I was only there for the last 10 minutes of the live band. Dance floor is small, but if you’re having fun, its all-good. Drinks are delishious and pretty strong. I had, i’m going to say 6 drinks and then, I KO-ed. I have no idea how much was spent on the night, since I didn’t handle the money. Overall, come check the place out. The location is small, so be very careful looking for the venue. Have FUN!!!

Likes: nice inside décor, looked cool with the blue lights against the white background, nice effect. DJ was upstairs while the dance floor was downstairs. Dislikes: the wait in line and bouncers trying to get donations

No matter how many times I’ve been here, the long and narrow space of Envy always trips me out. As a girl, having to squeeze past the bar and row of booths through hoards of people, I’m always left feeling a little violated. Why do guys think it’s ok to touch girls as we’re walking through!!! Ok I digress… back to ENVY. Drinks are typical for the area. Music is good for the most part, but the«dance floor» is a joke. I think you need a nice buzz to enjoy this place because you wouldn’t care. Sad but true. My friends and I typically come here when the night is still young and we don’t want to pay the cover for Ziings. Pros: — No Cover — No Line — Pretty good music Cons: — small dance floor — Not a good mix of people — ONE bathroom stall per gender

I don’t understand the big deal about this place. Maybe going on a Saturday was a bad idea. I’m not one to discriminate since I’m a minority, but the crowd on Saturdays was heavily Hispanic. I heard the Asians come out to play on Fridays. We definitely did show up late, so our punishment was to wait in the line forever. We agreed that if there was a cover, we’d pass on this place. The people in the line were fine, but I have mixed feelings about the bouncers. Obviously, they give preference to bottle service patrons, but it was moving so slow. We saw sooooooo many guys get let in. That’s always a good sign, right? Entering a club where there are LOTSOFGUYS? The girls they let in didn’t even look good. One bouncer was hustling or telling people about this little girl who was hit by a car and her family couldn’t afford to bury here. He was taking donations on their behalf. Shady, right? The girl in front of me spoke to him and told me there were inconsistencies in his story. My friend spoke to him about how he lost people in his family and this bouncer kept trying to one-up my friend. My friend said he lost his brother in law, and the guy was like«I lost my brother.» Then my friend was like«It’s hard to focus on laying them to rest when money is an issue,» and the bouncer was like«It was like that when I lost my dad.» What the hell? Is this a nightclub or a fucking drama? LETUSIN. When we were finally let in, it was pretty cool inside. Nice lighting, hot songs were playing. We didn’t get anything at the bar, I guess we were over that shit. The dance floor is crowded, but it’s not too bad. My friend asked these UGLYASS girls to dance with us and they said no. We would later ask these girls to take a picture of us which they did so we were grateful. This place definitely isn’t bad, but I don’t think it was worth the wait. I’ll try to show up earlier next time and update my review. I hope I don’t get hustled again though.

I came here on three separate occasions. All three times for three different birthday parties and groups of people. The décor and space is sleek, but a somewhat cramped up bar seating in the front. Dance floor space is a minimal in the VIP section, but downstairs is where all the action would be. Tuesday nights currently hold happy hour and play 80s-90s hip hop music(stuff that I can relate to minus Soulja Boy, T-Pain, and Lil wayne). With that said the primary weight of this review, is based on my recent experience here. So I ordered a few drinks to coast through the recent attending night: –1 order of Glenfiddich 21 year Single Scotch Malt(compensated for 12 year Glenfiddich)** –1 order of an Envy Cocktail –2 orders of Old Times/Coke(Happy Hour Special) I’ve become a scotch connoisseur as of recent and when I heard about Glenfiddich 21 year offered, I had to jump on the opportunity once. I asked light with the ice, and suddenly my scotch had icebergs capable of sinking a miniature Titanic replica. Fortunately Tawny, apologized and replaced it with the 12 year since it was the last of it. Which I truly appreciated the consideration, and the rest of the drinks were made well and consistent. Overall, I enjoyed myself but I’m very nit picky with my drinks considering I’ve had bartending experience in the past(especially when paying for good quality stuff) and loathe bad service and mixing. Spent about nearly $ 50.00 plus tax and tip. Given been here three different times in three years has shown the consistency of experience I’ve gauged. Therefore, 3.75 is my final rating but again not enough to clinch a four for me.

Finally made it here for dinner! My parents have been telling me to come here for months. They rave about the martini’s and the cheap prices. They were right! Happy Hour here is every day from 5 – 7 pm. At least half the menu, and the martini’s are ½ off during Happy Hour. We got here around 6:30 and it was pretty dead, but it started getting busier by the time we left around 7:45. I ordered a Peachtini and BF had an Orangesicle Martini. Both were totally delicious, and they give you the whole shaker so it’s really like two martini’s for the price of one, and half off! For appetizer we ordered the Kobe Beef Burgers. OMG heaven. Seriously delicious, juicy, perfect little burgers, served with garlic herb fries. And on Happy Hour they are only $ 6.50. For dinner I had Black Tiger Shrimp Scampi Pasta. It was really good. The shrimp were huge and cooked well. I think the pasta could have used a bit more sauce, but it was good the way it was. BF had Creamy Rigatoni which had sun dried tomatoes and broccoli, very, very good. I think I would order that next time. And it was on Happy Hour as well, so it was only $ 6. The owner was the server and bartender. His name is John and he is super friendly. He came over and introduced himself, he knew he my parents were when I told him they sent us, and he told us to say hello to them for him. Really nice guy. I am definitely adding Envy to my dinner rotation, and you should too!
