I spent three evenings here last week. I only got steak once, but it was tasty and perfectly cooked. I asked for medium-rare, and actually got medium-rare! The salad is excellent, with lots of fresh parts and crunchy croutons. And I loved the baked potato soup(served with very good bacon as a topping).

I was a regular customer of Tony Roma’s. I continued when they changed names. One day, I ordered a lot of food to go, and a LOT of it was total shit.(Honestly the food quality had been in steady decline and these morons couldn’t even cook a steak properly to save their lives) When I came in a couple days later, the kitchen manager would NOT replace the crap they sold us. I used up some credit I had for more food(planning to never go back) and brought it home as well. The prime rib sandwich was hard and dry, the ribs were hard and utterly pathetic. I returned the food and again, the kitchen manager Demetri told me to come back WHENTHEOWNER’S THEREANOTHERDAY. I refused. I insisted he replace my crap food on the spot. Unreal. I also asked him how he could serve me this shoe-leather prime rib and hard, rubbery ribs after I JUST had a problem with the food and had taken it up with him(the kitchen manager) directly. He told me «I’m have no control over the food that comes out of there. I’m not responsible for the quality of the food.» To which I replied«YOUARETHEKITCHENMANAGER. YOUARECOMPLETELY responsible for the food quality and preparation!» I also said«Look around this place. I’m literally the only customer in here, and have been coming here weekly for over 20 years. This is the way you treat me? Maybe I should just leave and never come back.» Demetri said«Good.» To which I replied«With an attitude like that it’s no wonder this place is empty. GOODBYE.» I believe they’re out of business now. After how miserably they treated even their most loyal customers, it’s no surprise. Good riddance, fuckers.

I drove to Anaheim from Oxnard to attend the Namm Music Show. I wanted to treat myself to some prime rib. I happen to see Prime Steak House in my path, the outside had a big bright sign, everything looked clean and new, so I figured what have I got to loose? A very nice hostess sat me down and said my waiter would be right with me. Ten minutes later when I got done texting my daughter, the hostess came over to me tell me that my waiter was very busy and asked me what I would like to drink, also letting me know he shouldn’t be more than another 5 – 6 minutes. My oldest daughter was in the restaurant(waitress) business for 13+ years, and I attended many of the events that she put on, she was praised by many, so I knew what to look for in good hospitality service. Finally after a total of close to 15 minutes, the young waiter came over to me, not that I expected an apology, but professionally speaking, thought he would offer one, but no. I gave him my order for my $ 27.00 prime rib, medium rare, with a side salad and baked potato with chives, sour cream and butter including a diet coke. I must not forget that during the wait for my food, I ran out of drink and if it wasn’t for a very ALERTBUSBOY that wouldn’t have been re-filled for me. Though I know we never know what kind of clientele will be in a restaurant, this place had a very loud crowd in it. I love kids, but one mother, her friend and her 5 – 6 year old daughter were three tables down from me when the little 5 yr. old daughter decided it was time to start screaming about something or another, but her mom and friend kept talking above her and didn’t correct the little one! Great social parenting skills, my ex-wife and I always took turns at taking our kids outside if they acted up in a restaurant! Oh well… It boils down to how were taught at home by our parents. 20+ minutes later here comes my food being brought out of the kitchen by a nice Asian woman, she has mitts underneath the food platter, sets it in front of me. I say thank you, of course I’m starving and frustrated at this point, and the tables around me are getting louder. I take a bite of my prime rib, it’s absolutely cold and parts were full of gristle! My baked potato with sour cream and butter… it’s cold as well! All the waitresses(2), and waiters(2), were helping everybody else, and I even heard one couple sending something back to the kitchen. There was so much confusion in this place I couldn’t get hold of anybody!!! I’m seeing 4 – 5 star reviews on here, and I don’t understand why, I would have been much happier at McDonalds! I only gave two stars because I wanted to be somewhat nice… I even went a step further and ordered desert for the final taste test, a piece of Red Velvet Cake, OHMYGOD… it was H O R R I B L E!!! The cake part was fair, but the frosting was made from this sand type substance of sugar paste and sand. Overall: Hostess: Excellent Waiter: Anti-Social Disorder Food drop off person: Shy Food: Sucked, McDonald’s is Better! Desert:(Red Velvet Cake) — Disgusting I will never eat at this restaurant again, it was the biggest waste of my hard earned money ever! $ 57.00 to be exact…

Poor service. Semi descent food. Slightly over priced for quality. Dull décor. Never once was checked on if I wanted more wine. My sons milk never came. But, again, had we ever been checked on…

On the outside it looked as though it would be a little bit formal but it was just a typical restaurant, nothing special. There’s no ambiance, no privacy, a bunch of tables/booths in a room. Privacy partitions would have been good. There was a bright light hanging right in the middle of our table that we had the waiter unscrew. Regarding the food… well it was okay. Our steak dinner came with just a boring baked potato on the plate, no color — steak/baked potato, that was it. Adding a vegetable would have been a nice touch. Our waiter, Raul, was very accommodating and nice to have. Afterwards we went to the bar to finish off the evening where the bartender, Randy, was very friendly and made us feel welcome. Also enjoyed some Karoke for a while. Would I go back? Well they had recently opened so I think I’ll hold off for a bit to see if they intend on making changes.

Food is similar to the old Tony Roma’s, and is fairly good.(about what i would expect.) Service was poor at first. After making a few comments in such a way the server changed her mood/table manners. I would have given this 3.5(4) stars if our service did not start out poor. Might come back if we’re looking for fast cook ribs and steaks.

We hadn’t been here in a long time and thought we’d go since they changed the name. Now we remember why we never went back. Same owner as the old Tony Roma’s, same 30 year old menu. Same décor as 30 years ago. The steaks were cooked too raw(asked for medium well, got rare char) and everything was so over salted I got sick(I actually threw up in the bathroom). I really can’t recommend this restaurant to anyone with functioning taste buds.

The dinner sucked the service sucked the waiter seriously sucked we ate ribs and beans and french fries and calamari you didn’t get wet wipes who serves round calamari and it was cold and they took it back and stuck it in the deep fryer french fries were gold back stuck them in the deep fryer oh my God I think I’m gonna have a heart attack just thinking about the calamari and the price eat here at your own peril but I also would recommend that harbor prime have a discussion with her staff the staff should never tell the customer the food doesn’t taste great the macaroni cheese was not good but it’s good now place needs serious uplift and I’m not giving him any stars I will not be back i’m rushing home to get some i’m rushing home to get some Gaviscon I’m shitting my brains out tomorrow I’ll be dumber than I was today my God explosion time

Karaōke on Fri night is excellent! Great sound systems and music selection. Food service was excellent. However Prime rib was ordered medium-rare. It was a very thin slice, lots of fat and and extremely rare, not how it was ordered. Another friend had the French dip. The sauce was so salty it was not edible. Meat had no flavor, lots of bread. The ribs were good and barbecue sauce was outstanding. Love the calamari and the appetizer platter, especially the onion rings. Dinner salad and bread was also great. bloody Mary had little alcohol but was nice and spicy.

Disappointing. The ribeye was under cooked. They tried to fix it. They overcooked it. They made me a new one and the cut was not as good… Not a pleasant dinning experience. I hope they improve.

One caveat, Harbor Prime is in a transitional phase, converting from a Tony Roma’s franchise to a private restaurant. Please, don’t let a temporary sign keep you from an amazing experience! This restaurant serves incredible food and the service is impeccable, my husband merely had to think of having his glass re-filled and it was. Our waiter was friendly, not the forced way you find with some chain restaurants, but helpful and he genuinely seemed glad to be of service. I admit we were a bit surprised by the prices,(we were thinking along the lines of Tony Roma’s and this was a little bit more expensive) then we tasted the food and realized we had found a bargain! I had the steak and lobster tail, and my husband had the medallions and shrimp skewer. The only thing that wasn’t perfect was that I underestimated the chef, at most steakhouses when you ask for medium rare your steak is cooked medium so next time I will order mine at the actual temperature that I want. I honestly could not remember a time when I have enjoyed a steak more.(Sorry Mom) Our waiter beamed with pride when we told him how much we were enjoying the food. My husband wrote on the receipt«We WILL be back» and we meant it!

We came in for lunch on Labor Day. The place is pretty much Tony Roma’s but with a different menu. Our server said it was the same management, Tony Roma’s just ended this place’s franchise. Our server claimed they use better meat than when they were Tony Roma’s. Now for the main reason you come to a steakhouse: the meat. I had the 9 oz top sirloin and wife had the 8 oz. filet. Both were nice cooked to medium rare, the tastes of both were pretty good. Price is what you’d expect. Our meal came to $ 66(no alcohol). One negative was our table. It was very sticky. Not the kind of sticky from a table not cleaned back the last guest. These tables are in major need of complete re-finishing. We’ll probably be back.

I’d like to say that the staff was very accommodating. Very friendly. My wife had the ribs. They were good. I had the 12oz prime rib. I hate to say this but it was so tough and I let the waiter know the condition. He said sorry and that was it. No , Let me get you something else or take it off your bill. I normally take home a doggy bag for my bulldog but he couldn’t chew it. No way. The facility was run down, floors stained. I will take my hat off to the new owner for trying, but I don’t think this establishment will be here max 6 months. I do not recommend this place.

it was pretty good. I liked the tender flavor of the prime rib french dip although I didn’t like the cheese. The french fries my husband got were good, but my cole slaw was warm and had too much dressing. The portion was small too. The Artichoke dip was supper. The owner/manager was supper friendly and the busser continued to serve me refills. My waiter was not very attentive or friendly. He didn’t seem very clean either. Mixed feelings.

Well, for now the big«Tony Roma’s» sign is still up… But when we walked through the front doors and saw that this place is now Harbor Prime, I kind of freaked out. Don’t get me wrong, I love trying new restaurants, but I had been thinking about ribs all day… and most rib places aren’t that great. Luckily the hostess calmed me down and told me that it was all going to be okay. Aside from the fact that the menu and decorations are now all boring and bland, the food is the same… I think they’re still getting on their feet with their presentation. Most importantly though, same owners & same chef. Same great bread and garlic butter. Same great ribs. Same great sauce. PLUS they even had some new items. Supposedly the new ahi tuna salad was«really good… second only to Yardhouse.» I’m hopeful that this place picks up some steam because it seemed pretty dead inside on a Saturday at 5:00. It sounds like eventually they’ll get around to renovating the place a little bit too.

Came to this new place thinking we were going to Toni Roma’s and was surprised that this new place was here. The place needs to be upgraded. The food and wine were good. But it’s dated.

Tried Harbor Prime out tonight. A lot of familiar faces from the old restaurant, so that was nice. The menu definitely has improved, with some yummy additions like lamb chops & even prime rib on the weekends, so I can’t wait to come back to try it! I ordered a medallion & salmon combo with baked beans & mashed potatoes as my sides. The portion size was great, my steak was cooked perfectly(rare with a cool center, yum!), the salmon was juicy with great flavor, and my sides tasted amazing because I mixed them together. I am excited to come back to visit & try all the new additions & support this new business! Overall a great first experience here.
