Highland Meadows Apartments

I wanted to update my review, as it has been a few weeks. While my initial concerns still ring true, management has done a decent job with getting the repairs done. As timely as I expected? Not even close, but they are getting done and that’s what is important. So far the outlets have been replaced, bathtub reglazed, unit has been pest controlled, cracks sealed, and countertops have been freshly resurfaced and painted. It’s finally starting to feel like home. :)

This is a great apartment complex that we are sad to leave.
Details:
CONS:
1.only 1 property manager. Mikey is great and very helpful but is pretty busy and sometimes hard to get ahold of. That being said you can always count on her to help (just not immediately)
2.Parking. resident parking is fine (I believe it is one spot per bedroom. extra $ if you want addition). But there is almost never street/​guest parking so our guests would often have to park at the target.
3. only hot water. This was an odd problem we had a handful of times while staying here. At times we would ONLY have hot water. We called about it twice and both times it was corrected.
PROS:
1. one bedroom apartments are larger than most in the area (at the time we moved in)
2. has a much better price per sq ft ratio than the competition (at the time we moved in)
3. the complex is pretty quiet.
4. the complex is kept in very good order. consistently clean and well landscaped
5. Amenities are great. Pool and jacuzzi are both large. Rec room is spacious and kids aren’t allowed without supervision. Multiple grilling stations.
6. Possibly the best pro is the location. SO MANY restuarants, grocery stores, shopping nearby.
7. Again, Mikey the manager is easy to work with.
Job changes prompted the move otherwise we would still be here. Also, the pin on the map is deceiving, the complex is at the end of Highland on the east (left) side.
