Great soup and cream cheese wontons. The veggie plates are awesome too.

I do not recommend this place to anyone the food lacks flavor, and the plates are not filling.

I’ve been coming here since 2009. This place is my favorite Chinese spot in Fullerton! They serve your food hot to order. My favorite dishes are, house chowmein, teriyaki chicken breast, and Kung Pao chicken. They literally do have the freshest Chinese food in town! It’s such a whole in the wall that it goes unnoticed but a lot of locals come here. You’ll see a lot of people come here for their lunch group, and cops take their lunch break here too! They have great lunch deals and everything is reasonably priced!

Good thing about this place is that the meal is cooked fresh with the order. But the food is bland. I’m guessing they are trying to be more healthy with less salt but still, hard to eat something really bland Great price to fill your stomach, but if you want something more appetizing I recommend spending a few extra dollars to get better tasting Chinese food. Food is 2 stars. Price is 4 stars. Average 3.

This used to be my favorite Chinese restaurant. Over 17 years I frequented this establishment. No more. Cooks are Mexican not Chinese or Korean. Food is gross! House fried rice is $ 10 bucks of nastiness. Always add bean sprouts which are now $ 1.50. I can get 5lbs for that adder. A poor imitation of what it used to be.

I must preface this by saying I used to come here often but haven’t for the past few years. Today I was in between errands and decided to stop in. I ordered special chow mein(chicken, bbq pork and shrimp) and an order of kung pao chicken, no peanuts to go. I was surprised that there were no Chinese cooks, only Mexicans, but the same thing happened to the Kung Pao House in Buena Park, although it closed after they switched from Asian cooks to Mexican. The kung pao chicken was listed as a lunch special with soup, steamed or fried rice and appetizer. This sounds like a lot of food but I usually stretch these orders into three meals, two if I’m really hungry. I was more than disappointed when I got home and sat down for a quick lunch. The egg drop soup was unappetizing looking so I passed, the fried wonton was supposed to be filled with cream cheese, which it may have been, but it was tasteless and the kung pao chicken was devoid of any flavor whatsoever even though there were plenty of chilies. It also only had onions, no carrots or green and red bell pepper. The chicken was cut in all different sizes and half had an odd texture. The chow mein was so bad I would have fed it to my dogs if it didn’t have onions in it. Seriously bad. I won’t be back.

We ordered the Orange chicken, potstickers, chicken and broccoli, and barbecue pork noodles. I checked in for a free egg roll and we didn’t get it until the end of the meal: P/The food was edible. The orange chicken was ok and wasn’t too sweet. I think my favorite was the pot stickers. The bbq pork tasted funny like it was old and It was a bit too salty. What got to me was all the flies swarming around inside. We moved seats and there were still all kinds of flies: P I don’t think I would recommend this place

While the staff were friendly and the service quick, the place is depressing. Which would be ok if the food was good but it wasn’t. I got beef broccoli and cashew chicken which were both tasteless. The broccoli was overcooked and the meat had no flavor. The cashew chicken tasted of nothing but the celery it was cooked with. The meat was done nicely but had no flavor. I also got chicken curry which was good and spicy but it’s curry, how do you mess that up? This place is across the parking lot from KPB Bistro which is currently under construction. I think I went to the wrong place.

I work in Fullerton and was craving fast Chinese Food. So I looked up near by Chinese food and found KPB Asian Bistro. Saw that they had 4 stars out of 210 reviews and decided to check them out without reading or looking at any of the reviews due to my quick lunch. When I looked up the directions I was directed to a plaza where I saw Kung Pao House with the words Chinese Food right under it. My dumb a$$ automatically assumed that KP stood for Kung Pao and thought I was at the right place. I walked right in and was greeted by a very nice young Hispanic lady. To the right of the register they had a list of lunch specials which drew my attention. I decided to order the Kung Pao chicken which is one of my favorite Chinese dishes for $ 6.75 which also came with soup & an appetizer. The young lady told me sit down & she would bring the food out as soon as it was ready. I grabbed a cup of water and sat down next to a window facing the entrance. My food was brought out to me fairly quickly(less than 5 mins.) which was great due to my 30 min lunch. The first thing that I tried was the egg flower soup which to my surprise was pretty good. The temperature of the soup was perfect(not too hot) and the portion was just right. I opened my tray of Kung Pao chicken and a burst of steam hit my face so I knew the food was fresh. The appetizer they advertised was a single over cooked deep fried won ton which I didn’t care to eat. I took my first bite of the chicken and instantly thought to myself why did this place get 4 stars. The Kung Pao was a little bland and didn’t have a whole lot of taste to it. It was covered with onions, peanuts, and a few red chilies. The portion was very generous for a lunch special. As I took my second bite, I looked out the window and right across the way was KP Asian Bistro. I shook my head in disbelief and started laughing out loud. I was at the wrong freak’n restaurant. Food review was based on the Kung Pao chicken which was ok. The free soup was good. The cleanliness of the restaurant was ok. The service was great here. Looking over the menu; everything looked a little pricey. Some of the lunch specials are reasonable. I’m sure other items on the menu are good. Would I return here? Maybe, just to try some other items on the menu. Warning: If you are trying to eat at KP Asian Bistro, this is not the right place!

Mongolian Beef Bowl was really good… and really greasy… but really good! I wish they had regular chili sauce. They only offer Sriracha or Chili Sauce in Oil.

So the first thing I have to say is I really love the food. The flavor is good. The reason im giving two stars is due to the service. I have been here multiple times and every time something is wrong with the order it is never taken down correctly. Secondly there was an incident where we arrived about 10·15 minutes before closing and the doors were open and the sign was on and it happened to be pouring rain that day so we parked and ran in. The cashier was standing there counting the money and I asked if she was still open and she said«yeah but im already closing the register»…ummm ok then it would have been nice to close the doors and shut off the open sign before we parked and ran through the rain to come in. It wasnt even closing time yet. My suggestion is if you order to go check your order before you leave because the cashier seems a little incompetent.

I GUESS I SHOULDHAVETAKENMYOWNREVIEWFROM2013AS A WARNING… Food still about the same. BUT, I made the mistake of ordering their Kung Pao Soup to go. Even with double bagging and using double styrofoam cups for the soup; as I carefully unpacked my soup and was pouring it into a large soup bowl, the bags and cups holding the SCALDING hot soup failed and I ended up with of most of the soup on my left leg(I was wearing shorts). You the dear reader of this review is probably thinking… what a douche bag whining about some spilled soup, really! Well, the soup was hot enough to give me some 2nd degree burns on my leg(that means some of the burned area blistered). Talk about a negative take out experience! The owner really needs to buy more sturdy take out containers. Spending a few dollars more on safer containers might save them an insurance claim or litigation by a justifiably angry customer.

I was waiting for one of my classes to start and this was the closest Chinese restaurant on my Unilocal app so I thought I’d give them a try during lunch. I waited a good 30 min for one teriyaki bowl to come out, and it was surprisingly watery. Not oil, not sauce, but just dripping with water for some reason. Hardly any teriyaki sauce and the whole meal tasted like one of those cheap, bland frozen dinners you nuke in the microwave from the grocery store. Broccoli pieces were off-color even for being steamed and cooked through. Maybe I’ll come back when it’s not so late in the day, but I wasn’t impressed.

Tried this place again because I remember the spicy braised shrimp was really good. Ordered it again, but this time a regular size instead of the large. The cost was $ 9.99 and it was about 10 – 12 medium size shrimp. The flavor was nice and spicy but the shrimp was a little over cooked and not large enough for the cost. I also got the tomato sauce beef which I thought had great flavor, but the meat was grizzly and cut more on the thin side. The regular size was almost $ 8 and I didn’t think the portion size was worth it.

This place was awesome!!! We originally intended to go to another Chinese food place in the same shopping center but we’re disappointed due to their prices… We decided to go check this place out. It’s an unrefined diamond If I say so my self… We went in and it didn’t look too appealing… We took a look at their menu and their prices were fair so we ordered… The woman in the register was really nice and very helpful… We place our order and took a seat in in the long booth… The food came within 10min of ordering and everything we ordered was delicious and the portions were very generous… I highly recommend it… Don’t Judge a book by its cover that’s my advice!!!
