Come to this place for the first time. For the price, the food and taste was out of my expectation! Thumbs up ! The place is very clean n spacious and very comfortable to come here. If u want affordable Japanese food Fastfood style here is the place to go !! I love their coleslaw salad that go with every dish !

This is one of the worst Sushi restaurants I have ever been to! Every thing that I ordered was totally tasteless. Even the dinner salad was flat. Tables were dirty also the floors. Wish you had a minus rating.

Food is fine, service is subpar. Have ordered at the counter and food can take up to 20 minutes to come out. Even when I’ve ordered ahead, sometimes the food hasn’t been ready. Staff doesn’t do a good job of explaining items /​combos /​deals. Once was up charged for brown rice, but nowhere does it say that it costs more. I only go here when there’s an e-​foodie deal. Otherwise, not really worth the prices.

Food always tastes fresh. Very affordable for a college student their salads are always good.

This place is delicious and it has great prices compared to other sushi resturants. i always get great customer service every time Sandra takes my order. Would recommend this place to anyone

After being celibate for 21 years I decided to finally give up my virginity. Of eating SASHIMI. I heard good reviews about sansai I ordered the sushi lover and the portion as well as customer service was on point. I did not know sashimi melts in your mouth … I fell in love! Honestly could not think of anything bad to say about this joint. Awesome job Sansai!!! thanks for making my first time memorable xD lets hook up later ;)

I love this place! Food is great for the value, just wish portions were better but I love that they aim towards college students! Their food is very fresh and always tasty. 20% off for csuf students and daily specials! Definitely will be my go to teriyaki place!

Per the pouring rain, my coworker & I decided udon noodle soup was the ticket,.upon braving the torrential downpour along with random rivers flowing through Orangethorpe, we arrived to swiftly retrieve out to-​go order… sadly, we were amiss the best part of udon noodle soup: the tempura… wth, man… we longed to crunch and munch, but no… this is no longer a rainy day destination :(

Got there for lunch and had 4 Sushi Rolls they were made fresh to my order came out and was Delicious, the young Lady that took my order was very Pleasant and helpful, will go back again!

This is a great place for college students. The food isn’t expensive, it’s delicious, everyday they have some sort of special going on, they give student discounts, and if you take your receipt to Wildflour next door you get a discount on a cupcake.
We always went on Monday because chicken bowls are buy one get one free. You can get the second for a friend or ask them for the second one to-​go so you can have a meal for the next day as well.
The food is very fresh here and the restaurant is very clean, including the restrooms. I’ve tried other things here and they have all been good. It’s a great alternative to the greasier or less unhealthy options that are nearby.

Wanted to try out a new restaurant today ended up at sansai picked up a rainbow roll, spicy tuna, California roll, miso soup and drink was $ 23.18 rainbow roll was great had excellent cuts of fish. Spicy tuna was lacking in the spicyness department reminded me of tuna roll, California roll was good pretty common as far as make up of materials.
But I would order the 3 roll special which comes with 2 salads and 2 drinks for $ 22.99

You get what you pay for. Steer clear from this place, food was decent but I’m sick from their spicy tuna bowl. Just had it yesterday and haven’t been able to stop running to the bathroom. Should have known with a promotion like that it wasn’t going to be quality food. Plus service isn’t even great.

I love this place! The food is so great. I always ask my boyfriend to take me to Sansai when I’m in the area. The chicken is so, so great! It’s tender and delicious. They always have deals on the weekdays and on e-​foodie, so definitely keep an eye out for that. You get 20% with your student ID as well.
They have sushi, plates, and noodles. I’ve tried the sushi and the plates and I really like it. This place is definitely on the healthier end and the cashiers are always very nice. The place is always clean and the service is fast.

Atmosphere is cool. Employees are nice. Good business concept but food is not that good. I came at lunch time and the salad was soggy and gross from sitting out for too long with dressing on it. My crunchy roll didn’t have the typical suave that is on every crunchy roll and my teriyaki chicken was super dry. Basically, the rice was good.
If you’re looking for the pick-​up sticks version of Japanese, this is it! However, if you are wanting anything better than that, I wouldn’t suggest the food here.

PARKING
Shared parking lot with a bunch of other businesses. I always get to-​go so I park right in front. They are located in the back with Papa John’s.
INTERIOR/​EXTERIOR
Nothing fancy outside, and pretty modernized inside! Usually, it is nice and clean. Students often dine here since it is near school. They have a counter with the soda fountain, utensils, and sauces — very convenient.
MENU
After my friend introduced me to their Sumi Salad, that has been my favorite item to get there. They offer their salads in petite, grande, or mixed and even as a side on your plate. They have various sizes depending what you are looking for — from just a few pieces of sushi rolls, bowls, plates, and combos. In terms of their plates, I’ve have their teriyaki chicken which was very filling with the two scoops of rice. I enjoyed their steak plate with my favorite salad much more. There are days when the food comes out too salty.
Recently, they have their daily special which I advise everyone to take advantage of.
SERVICE
Service can be a little slow — sometimes they are not very attentive. Regardless, I have been a regular customer (during the academic year) and will continue to frequent for my salad.

This place is delicious! I’ve been here 4 times and every time the food has been consistently good. I always order half chicken/​steak plate with the oriental salad and egg rolls. Hits the spot every time. Only con is that the rice does stick to the paper that the food is served on.

This place is ok at best. I had the chicken plate. The chicken was cooked reasonably well and the sauce was ok… nothing particularly good though. The rice was fine too (aside from how dumb it is that they serve it on paper so it sticks and tears the paper). On the other hand, the coleslaw side had no seasoning whatsoever and not enough dressing. The veggies on the side tasted like they were literally on the grill for 10 seconds… totally raw and barely warm… hope they didnt come in contact with raw chicken. This place has potential and I love that they give student discounts (though I didn’t notice til I already paid), but I prob won’t come back for awhile. Also, what is the point of handing me a number to put at my table if you are just going to yell it out instead of bringing over the food? Made no sense whatsoever. This was more like a 2.5…but the bad outweighed the good.

I love Sansai! The food is so good, and is definitely my go to spot in fullerton. They usually have deals going on depending on what day of the week it is. ALSO IF YOU HAVE A STUDENT ID YOU GET 20% OFF. I always end up getting their chicken bowl, the chicken is nice and tender and never dry.
They also have sushi, which was pretty good. If you want healthy, fresh, and tasty food i definitely recommend trying this place.
The restaurant is always clean and food usually takes about 5 minutes to get once you order it depending on how busy it is.

Not that great of sushi at all… The other dishes look decent but I haven’t ever tried any. The sushi is around $ 7+ for very average cut rolls. My crunch roll barely had any crunch to it at all, and was essentially tasteless. I also saw the sign I’ve added to this post on their counter and don’t think it’s okay to ask people to give you a 5 star review on Unilocal in exchange for a discount. Of course encouraging people to write a review is fine but giving a place 5 stars that may not deserve it? :/
Only thing about this place is that it’s close to CSUF so I understand if some people want to go there out of convenience.
