Was looking forward to eating here for a while, and was finally in the neighborhood to do so. I really enjoyed the three tacos I ordered, Al Pastor, Carne Asada, and Carnitas. But that experience was ruined by my facing the kitchen and watching a couple employees prepare the food. Although the person putting together the tacos, etc, was very entertaining with how he flipped up the small ladle full of chili sauce in the air and caught it in the tacos, he used his gloved hands later to open and get things out from a small refrigerator and also touched other dirty surfaces – without changing gloves when he went back to putting together food orders. I also noticed a similar lapse by another employee who switched from doing food prep to emptying the garbage to refilling an empty salsa container without cleaning his hands in between tasks. I want my food to be tasty, and to be prepared in a clean and sanitary fashion so I don’t get sick or otherwise unnecessarily risk my health. I take no solace from the OC Health Department passing grade posted at the entrance, and wish they provided a letter grade and more information for customers – and that they and other health agencies made their visits unannounced.

Let’s be honest … This place is ONLY good at 2am after the club/bar when you’re drunk and your options are slim to none. The quality at this place goes down every year more and more. Their meat is dry, absolutely no flavor, and half of the time you bite into fat(this is for carne asada, it’s all I’ve ever had there) they are like the McDonald’s of taco places when it comes to salsa, if you don’t ask you don’t get it. Come on, seriously?! I’m getting either tacos or a burrito obviously I need salsa. I hate when any place is stingy with their sauces. Their salsas are OK, they also lack in flavor. For a taco place, they are a bit on the pricey side for me, I guess I wouldn’t mind if the food was worth it. It’s a pretty popular little spot, why? Who knows. Thank goodness for El Camino Real down the street, THAT’S quality(food, not service)

Tacos here are $ 1.49/ea. I’ve only tried the Carne Asada, Al Pastor, and the Lengua. The Asada is not the best, Al Pastor is okay at most, and the Lengua is pretty good. It’s really hard to find some good Lengua tacos around here, but this place will do. Even if this place gets busy, the service is great. Most of them try to talk to you when you’re ordering and I really like that effort that they give. They do have limes and additional hot sauces on the side of the store if you want some on the side or to go.

Loved the food! Great tacos and burritos. The guys are nice. Only cons were no straws when we went or napkins available to grab. Hard to ask for them as they were really busy. Guess we got caught I a little rush. Loved the food though! One suggestion: Offer a sauce for Tacos without any spiciness :)

As usual for my reviews please note that 2 stars is NOT a bad rating, it’s a very middle of the road rating. We went here for tacos during a get together with friends a mile or so away. The place is 24 hours which is a huge plus! They have a salsa bar, but only with red and green salsas. The food was ok, nothing terribly great and definitely not bad at all. I had tacos, and they are your typical 2 bite street tacos. The meat was good, then it’s kind of hard to screw up street tacos when all there is in them is meat and onions. The salsa was decent and the grilled Serrano peppers were actually hot. I would like to come back there and try a burrito with the rice and beans as they did look good. All the items that they had available to make food with was simple and fresh, I think there was only maybe 10 – 12 pans total on the hot line. So there is not going to be a huge selection of combinations here, which is fine. I would definitely go here if you have a late night taco need and you’re close. But I’m not sure that a special trip would be in order. But as I said I would definitely go back.

Dined in this time and the food was great. They still don’t have good limes but the food was much better fresh and with the salsa. Line moves pretty fast kind of like a Chipotle style so it’s much better to go inside if there’s a long drive-thru line. Horchata is a little overpriced in my opinion but it is really good.

This place used to be amazing!!! When I first started eating here the meat was so good. The al pastor was second to none. They would give you grilled onions and radish on the side. The service was sub par but it was something you looked past because of the good food. Then one day they said«sorry no more grilled onions…» So I thought«oh, it must be too expensive or time consuming to make» so I understood even though onions are cheap and grilling them takes no time at all. The food missed that extra bit now that they took out a staple but what could one do? Then no more radish readily available, you had to ask for them and even when you did, the guys behind the counter would give you 5 – 6 in a plastic baggie like there was a radish shortage. I recently went back and now, the radish are gone for good. The workers simply said«the boss said no more radish» the meat has changed, it’s not consistent as it once was. They are rolling burritos a lot smaller now, it’s really sad to a see a really good Mexican food place go to shit. Hopefully the new place across the street will wake them up and bring them back to their roots.

This is one of those mellow place to grab some good grub at whatever time of day you feel like it! Mexican food always sounds good after a few drinks late at night with friends or during the day for a quick lunch of delicious varieties. Of the combinations they offer here I decided to go with an asada quesadilla as it sounded good and as a quick burst of flavor I asked them to throw some cilantro & onions into the mix which just made something that was already pretty good a bit better. They have a salsa bar with limes salsas and other goodness their salsas were all pretty good and adding that squeeze of lime to my quesadilla just made it that much better as I love lime because it’s one of those things that goes well with just about everything! One thing that’s nice here is they have a little bit of a parking lot so your generally not driving around to look for a spot. They also have a drive-thru here so if your in a hurry you can seek that out or go inside as I usually like to do. The only real downfall here is it’s a bit pricey for what you get but it’s good enough to the point of where I’d come back with my friends again if we are in the area.

When it’s late in the evening, you’re hangry with your friends and all the bars stop serving food, this is the place to go. Homemade tortillas. Simple options(tacos, burritos, quesadillas, or chips). Great flavor. Nice price. They take CC.

Based on fellow elite reviewer recommendation I decided to try this place and this place didn’t disappoint. I ordered four carna asada tacos with all the toppings. The meat was moist and chunky. The flour didn’t fall apart. For the price the amount of meat was reasonable. And yes the green sauce is spicy. As I write this review I am still recovering from the heat. Service is friendly and jovial. Spanish is a plus but they understand English. They do have drive through but I recommend at least for the first time come in the restaurant. Only sad thing was that the tacos was so good that I forgot to take pictures

The best place for your Mexican food needs in the Fullerton area! Their food is always on point and the service is quick. It’s a great place to hit up after a night out in DTF! But it gets packed around 130. cause you know after a night of drinking everyone’s thinking that same thing as you are. Also, their Al Pastor tacos and burritos are the best!

Couldn’t find many places that were open late at night, so we ended up here. Ordered a lengua burrito. Lengua was good but not the best I’ve had. It’s cool that they make it like how they would at a Chipotle, so the line goes pretty fast. If you come after 2am on a Fri or Sat, it will get packed because everyone from the clubs/bars/lounges will end up here, and you won’t be able to find a seat. They have a drive thru here as well if you want to get your food that way. I’ve had better Mexican food, but this is just convenient.

A friend of mine swears this place has the best al pastor ever. And, I admit I rather agree how flavorful and delectable it is. This is a taco place that is quite far from American-style Mexican places one may be friendly with. Like King Taco, this place may look a bit dated, but this place has been around for a while, delivering its blend of special flavors. Interior is small and a group of 2 – 4 should fit fine, but it may be easier to get things to go. There is parking available by the building. If you’re around the area, try the al pastor. It’s quite good.

Decided to come here with my boyfriend for lunch today, we ordered the beef tongue tacos and the asada tacos. I had an exam coming up in about and hour and a half afterwards and was craving tacos and this place was closest to cal state Fullerton. And according to my boyfriend wasn’t as overpriced as Pepe’s. The place was pretty dead not much customers around but my boyfriend and I actually liked that. However the service didn’t seem very welcoming. My boyfriend ordered and the server practically threw the plate there and flopped the ingredients on it and dropped it on the table all carefree and was like«I’m done.» But seeing that it IS a taqueria and it isn’t as if we’re eating at a five star restaurant or anything we at least liked the fact that we got such fast service.(Less than a minute) And it supposedly looked good so we just went with it and didn’t care so much. The tortillas aren’t warmed up in front of you before being put on the plate so when I ate the taco it was like trying to shove a cold napkin down my throat. I get that tacos aren’t supposed to be wet or anything but that was, just kind of unpleasant. It was kind of cold too. Did I mention that already? Well yes I did but that had to be emphasized. The meat was somewhat warm but not warm enough to combat the cold napkin tortilla. Anyhow personally for me the lengua had no taste whatsoever, it was similar to chewing on rubber. I actually had to add extra extra salt and the carne asada to my lengua tacos to make it more edible. So that being said the carne asada with the red sauce is a must, without the red sauce the carne asada alone cannot satisfy your tastebuds. I usually don’t eat much spices but these tacos needed it because they definitely were not seasoned well as far as the meat was concerned. Not to mention again the tortilla, man, that was just brutal. I’m not sure if I was eating a tortilla or a paper towel. Not to mention that killer stomach ache I had before my exam, no bueno. My boyfriend had major gas and my goodness that was also, no bueno. But as location goes I’ll settle for this taqueria since it’s near school and because I prefer it over Pepe’s since the price for tacos here are cheaper. I just probably won’t eat tacos again here before an exam! Other than tacos I hear good things about the burritos so I may come back again for that, but the tacos? I think my love and I will avoid the tacos here. Just to be on the safe side.

I came her for lunch on a Friday and it was pretty dead. It is open 24 hours and has a drive through. I had a sampling of tacos, including carne asada and pastor. The tacos were pretty good, your classic small street tacos on corn tortillas. They do load it up with meat though and the standard is cilantro and onions, with red sauce. I added my own green sauce at their salsa bar which included limes as well. The asada was pretty good, but the pastor was just okay. There was a lot of grease. They also have silverware out for you to take. Napkins, however, are not on the table or at the salsa bar, but can only be obtained at the front counter where you pay. No napkins were provided with your meal. It was a great meal, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for this place.

Following a disappointing triple overtime loss at the Ducks game, we needed a late night place to eat. Taqueria De Anda tweeted me to come try them, and its been about 5 years since I came here. Well, I must admit the prices are cheap, but most taquerias are. The 6 street sized tacos plus 2 drinks came to $ 13 and change. I had the carne asada, carnitas and lengua, while Stephen had the al pastor, carnitas and carne asada. Unfortunately the food was just ok. I am not going to say«you get what you pay for» as I went last weekend to Carnitas Los Reyes in Orange and got juicy, plump tacos for $ 1.50 and they were filling! The 3 tacos I had last night were more of a snack, and I left unsatisfied, not to mention with heartburn. Perhaps it was midnight and the meats have been sitting there. My carne asada was dry, and hard as rocks. I added more salsa to revive them, and lucky I was able to eat them in 3 bites. The carnitas were a bit passable, and probably the best of the 3. The lengua was ok too. Overall a «meh» experience. The positive side is they are open 24 hours, except the dining area closes at midnight. We found out that they lock up the dining area at midnight, and start sweeping and taking out the basura, regardless of who’s left eating. There’s so many late night choices, I may have to wait a few years to come back here.

After an intense spin class, we decided we needed tacos to celebrate both Taco Tuesday and Cinco De Mayo. Mexican food is always a top choice after a sweat session, right? Tacos are $ 1.45 each and we both got four. I got two asada and two chicken and they pack the meat into the small, double stacked tortillas before garnishing them with your choice of green or red sauce, cilantro and onions. Be warned, the green is super spicy and my nose was running pretty profusely after two. The red was definitely the mild of the choices… just in case you weren’t good with spice. Not only are they cheap, they’re really good, too! The restaurant also offers burritos and quesadillas which seemed to be popular. They were both stuffed like the tacos and looked like they required a lot of napkins and two hands to eat. Probably a good idea to come in with a huge appetite if you want to take one of those one. I know I will on my next visit. I didn’t know there was a 24hr Taqueria De Anda in Fullerton and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t packed on this day of celebration. I was wrong. As soon as we sat down to grub on our bounty of food, a huge line began to form as the crowds began to get hungry before a night of drinking. They also offer drive-thru service if you don’t want to get out of you car. For less than $ 14, we ate a good amount of tacos and enjoyed some lemon water(don’t know the translation is) that tasted like a sweet lemonade. I really enjoyed it. Staff was friendly and the lines moved quick. Table seating and parking can be limited depending on what time you go, but if you’re looking to hit this spot up after a night of drinking, you should be okay!
