I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere very much! The BBQ was delish! Monday night kids eat free!

Awesome local Fuquay restaurant. Bar-b-cue is so so, but burgers and wings are exceptional. Try it, don’t diet.

Before going to the Aviator brewery, we decided to hit up their restaurant down the road. Apparently Aviator has a big influence in the area with several locations of stores, bars, and a restaurant. We were seated relatively quickly and given menus. The wife and I opted for an appetizer so we got the potato skins. They were cooked perfectly and full of flavor. I’m a sucker when it comes to pulled pork and these delivered in spades on that front. My only complaint is for the price, around 7 dollars, you only get 4 skins. They put greens on one third of the plate instead of maybe two more potato skins. I know neither the wife or I order potato skins to pile leafy greens on top of, but maybe someone enjoys it. For my meal I ordered the famous boil over burger, and I can agree with the name. The burger was outstanding and packed with ingredients. Yet again the pulled pork made an appearance on the burger as well as fries and a massive onion ring topper. The burger itself was cooked to order and I have zero complaints. I had a mad beach wheat beer and it was smooth and refreshing. I was abit let down that several things listed on the beer menu were actually not on tap though. I couldn’t go full out 5 stars due to minor issues with the menu and the service was abit inconsistent, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy the meal. I will return in the future when we visit the brewery again.

Aviator Smokehouse had great food and awesome beer! I had a Black Mamba Oatmeal Stout and a Hogwild IPA… both exceeded my expectations. We ordered the potato skins as an appetizer. They were cooked perfectly, nice and crisp on the outside and soft inside. The potato skins were crammed full of smoked pork, liquidy cheese, bacon, green onion, BBQ sauce, and sour cream. They were excellent! I ordered a smoked pork quesadilla as my entrée. Overall, I enjoyed the potato skins more than my entrée. The quesadilla had way more black beans than cheese and pork. The guac served with the quesadilla was pretty good. We did have to wait longer than normal to be seated and a few times our glasses weren’t refilled in a timely manner. Those two issues wouldn’t be enough to prevent me from coming back. A manager did stop by our table during our visit.

We waltzed into Aviator Smokehouse on Saturday evening around 9PM. There was no wait, but many tables were filled(it looked like they just finished their dinner rush). I didn’t have high expectations, but I thought they really delivered. We got some boneless wings tossed int he aviator sauce. DELICIOUS. The chicken was so tender and moist. Their fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Our server was attentive and our food came out fast. I would recommend this place if you are in fuquay. But be sure to do your research – Aviator has multiple locations in that corner of downtown fuquay as well as their brewery a few miles down the road. Smokehouse is definitely where you want to go if you are looking for beer AND some good bar food.

We went there last week for lunch and it was great. I had the bacon wrapped meat loaf and my wife had the pulled pork. Both were delicious. The beer selection was extensive with their seasonal options along with Aviator’s standard beer offerings. I do have to say that Aviator produces a great product. We will be back.

Very good burger. The place sells top notch beer. But then put aristocratic vodka in the well. It looks like someone what wants to promote top notch product in one area would do that across the board to promote that that are In The business of being great in everything. Really this is a good place to eat and drink. Just my little petty rant for the day. Tyler was a great bartender and server, food was good. We’ll be back.

The food and service is awesome! When we first moved near FV we came to aviator. The loaded tots, pickle chips, and wings are amazing! To top it off, their local brews are delicious, especially Mad Beach!

A short review. I called a order in ten days before for a some food. It wasn’t really bulk order. It was only a total of 5 pounds, beans, Mac and cheese, and coleslaw. The food was good but… It took 15 mins to get my order, I was right on time for my pick up. I guess they don’t prep out the orders until you show up first and pay? But as I was waiting up front I happened to notice on the side walk the sanitation grade! It was a «B» 87.5 or 88.5 wow that is terrible grade. I was a manager in the restaurant business and I was able to get 100’s in 30 year old business. You have to really try and get that kind of score.

We just moved to the area. After seeing aviator beer in all the stores around, we decided to try this place out. The service was great. The food was really good. We will definitely be coming back regularly. The burgers are the best I’ve had in a while. They are huge also, the Patty is at least a ½ lbs. The fried pickles are also very good.

Went here after hearing about it from friends. They have a bar across the street that has a great outdoor patio and tons of great micro-brews to choose from. As far as the restaurant, the wings were awesome! Smokey taste to it and large. However, I tried the brisket sandwich and my wife had the burger, it was tasteless. My brisket was dry and I literally had to smother it with ketchup or hot sauce to take it down. The burger did not seem to have any seasoning and was well over cooked for medium. Overall, I give this place 3 stars for the wings and beers. Maybe it was an off night for them but it didn’t make me want to try any of their other sandwiches. Stick to the wings and beer.

First of all, I’ve been coming here for 4 years. They’ve changed the menu several times since then. My last experience was the worst. On a Saturday at 1245 it took over 30 minutes for a table of 6, in a half empty restaurant, to get our food. The chopped BBQ plate was at least 50 percent inedible fat. The beans had too much vinegar and the balsamic dressing was terrible. On the plus side, the beer is always good. Save yourself the time and drink the beer but skip the food.

Cool brewery with decent beer selection. The whole place is decorated with aviation stuff; pictures, planes, etc. Decent food, the wings were actually really good. They have a bottle shop offering a lot of local beers next to the smokehouse.

Aviator has not only a brewery, taphouse and bottle shop, they have apartments and this smokehouse restaurant. You’ll find the Smokehouse at the intersection of E Broad and Stewart. On opposite sides of the same intersection are the Aviator Beer Shop and the Aviator Taphouse. You can order food at all three locations and servers deliver all the meals from the smokehouse. Aviator has done a nice job of creating casual, comfortable meeting places to bring people together with food and drinks. The flying theme is carried throughout the restaurant with aviation photos, posters, and even a flight suit displayed. Everything at Aviator is locally sourced and made fresh. No packaged or prepared foods and it shows. Good variety on the menu so if you’re with a group, there’s probably something for everyone. Great little local restaurant.

Let me first say my husband would rate Aviator Smokehouse with 5 stars myself however just didn’t think it was 5 stars worthy but still a great place! The food mostly consist of fried food and smoked food. We started of with fried pickles. I thought they were great and a pretty large portion for $ 5. I had the Madbeach American Wheat beer and loved it! Defiantly a new favorite! My husband had the Blackmamba Oatmeal Stout and really enjoyed his beer as well. For my entrée I had a ½ chicken smoked and fried with mac & cheese and mashed potatoes with gravy. My chicken was the perfect amount of smoke and the skin was very crispy. It was a lot of food for $ 12 and I brought home a lot of leftovers. I enjoyed my mac and cheese but thought the mashed potatoes were lacking flavor and gravy. My husband got a pulled pork sandwich with 2 fixings and enjoyed his meal. This could b his new favorite place! They offer a lot of specials. We went on a Monday and found out it was kids night. Buy 1 adult meal get 1 kids meal free. Tuesday’s is wing night, Taco Wednesday, and other specials. Our waiter was attentive, our table was clean, and filled with napkins. All in all I had a great experience and will defiantly be back soon!

This is almost a five star review. Where it falls short is on the consistency of the food during different visits. They are three star consistent on the quality of the meal they deliver. I have had some five star meals and some three star meals. I should also note that I have been shorted a wing or two in large orders. I hate that I even have to say that but, it gets annoying after the third time. The ambience and service however, is always top notch. I have tired everything from burgers, to tacos and of course the smoked wings. I am fond of the ‘monster’ flavor. What draws me in is the service and ambience. It’s a great place to hit after a round of disc golf or if you are in the area shopping, etc. It’s a «go-to» location when in the area.

A very disappointing Mother’s Day dinner. My family and I took my mom to Aviator for dinner. As we were being seated my mom almost slipped on the greasy floor. She mentioned it to the host and she just laughed and agreed with her. The five of us were sat at a table meant for 4 so we felt tight and crammed. We placed our drink orders and the waitress brought my wine in a dirty glass with someone’s lipstick on it! So gross! When I asked for a new glass of wine I watched the bartender wipe out a new glass, no idea if it was clean or dirty but the rag he used definitely wasn’t clean! Then he proceeds to pour the wine from the lipstick glass into the new glass all while the waitress watched. That is terrible practice and so unsanitary! When my Cobb salad arrived it look very unappealing. Iceberg lettuce, a sprinkle of bacon bits, four cherry that were shriveled and sour, some cheese, three tiny slivers of avocado and one hard boiled egg. My sisters side salad looked 100% better than mine. I am so disgusting and dissatisfied with Aviator. The bathroom was dirty, my food was terrible and the service was worse!

Probably some of the best beer I’ve ever had… my favs: Mad Beach and Devils Triple For food I had the aviator pulled pork which wasn’t vinegar based sauce, it was really good!!! The meat was lean with some charred ends and not very fatty. The fries were awesome! If you go… the smokehouse is more for bigger parties and family friendly. The tap house has the whole menu in a bar environment.

A groupon or living social deal took us out to a brewery tour at Aviator about a year ago. We heard about the Smokehouse and decided we needed to try it too. Note — they are in different locations — a few miles from each other. We had gone out on a Friday night the first time and wow — Aviator has done a great job in the classic section of downtown Fuquay. They have the Smokehouse — which is the main spot for food. Across the street, they have a Train depot of sorts — you can still order food here(they walk it across the street from the Smokehouse) but, it’s more of the bar area. They also recently added a bottle shop — where they sell a variety of bottled craft beers and not just their own brand. I am definitely impressed with the business ventures of Aviator. Okay, fast forward to our visit yesterday(Sunday, February 1st, 2015 — 1pm). The ribs — that is why we are back. My husband is a rib connoisseur — he likes to eat a lot of them. Before him, I could have counted one one hand the number of times I had eaten an order of ribs. Now, I judge a rack myself. Aviators ribs are number one in my book. That is why we went. We had friends in town for the superbowl that also enjoy a good rack of ribs so, we took them out there. ¾ of our party ordered the ribs. They ordered them dry rub style with sauce on the side. All parties agreed — order them with the sauce on them the next time(they way I prefer). The ribs are meaty and hearty. The sauce is great. Get them! The boys still prefer 12 Bones in Asheville as their top joint for ribs but, everyone was still happy. Throw in the local brews and you can’t go wrong. I did order the nachos yesterday too. I was hoping for a BBQ chicken nacho. While the chicken is cooked«BBQ» style — I wish it has been drenched in BBQ sauce before slopping it onto the nachos — that would be an improvement. I did like the fresh jalapenos and it was an okay dish — next time, however, I’ll go back to the ribs.
