No straws, utensils or napkins! For a place that only does drive through you would remember to give someone a straw!

The cook out style burger was very taste BUT if it was a 1⁄3 lb burger someone’s ass was on the scale when they weighted it

Continually I am getting rude staff. No straws or napkins in the drive thru. And when I waited to ask for it she pushed the window to ensure it was locked and walked away. What happened to customer service.

Loove love love some Cook Out. Craving a good burger? Go here, u will not be disappointed. These milk shakes definitely bring all the boys to the yard… Bahahaha could not help myself. But seriously they are delicious. Hope Cook Out comes closer to Toocoa!

I love Cookout, but will never ever come back to this one. The drink machine was broken, and the only beverages they had available were tea and water. To make matters worse, my order was horribly wrong! Ordered a BBQ sandwich, chili, and onion rings, but received a burger with lettuce and tomatoes, coleslaw, and onion rings. WTF. Terrible experience :(

This place is a hit or miss for me. I always get a cheese quesadilla tray with absolutely NO chicken or meat at all for that matter. There has been plenty of times when I’ve been satisfied with my meal being correct, but even more times when I got home and it was incorrect. I will not be going back. & if I do, it’ll be a long time from now.

Drink machine broken, unsweet tea in the sweet tea container, no toilet paper in the men’s restroom and the food was over cooked.

Burger was unseasoned and full of gristle. Condiments on it were fresh however — crisp lettuce, ripe tomato, etc. Tea tasted like the pot is overdue for a cleaning. Fries were pretty good. OK in a pinch but frankly, no better than most national chains.

Disappointed that I paid for food I did not receive. Discovered after I left because it was carry out. Will make a point to go elsewhere next time. There are plenty of choices at Exit 92 on I85SC.

Very impressive, genuine outdoor grill taste. The burgers here are definitely unique in that way. You would think they have a camp fire going in the kitchen.

Sorry folks but my first visit to cookout may be my last. Both the hamburger and the grilled chicken we ordered had a very lighter fluid /chemical taste. It was completely unappetizing! The sides of onions rings, fries and hush puppies were fairly good. The cheerwine float was pretty good also. However with these positives, the main burgers and sandwiches were just that bad. I will try cook out sometime again but no time soon nor in Gaffney. If that chemical taste was their attempt to duplicate a smokey flavor, they are sorely mistaken.

This place was amazing! Price, taste, atmosphere, everything! I had the cookout style hot dog with mustard, chili and slaw(I chose to have it without the onions). It was exactly what I had hoped for! Get plenty of napkins because they don’t skimp on the toppings. My fiancé had the double cheeseburger and it had that perfectly charred taste. My favorite! It looks small but it was filling. My friend got the grilled chicken sandwich. It also had that char-grilled taste and it was SOJUICY! He also got the corndog as one of his sides on his«Cookout Tray.» It was delicious too. The breading was perfectly crispy. The other options for sides were things like chicken nuggets, slaw or chili, but we decided on french fries and onion rings. With or without the cajun seasoning the fries were great. Especially dipped in the chocolate milkshake, which is about the only way to consume the extra thick milkshakes(spoons and straws are also available though). The onion rings were good and crispy too. Overall a great experience. The wait was a little longer than expected, but the place was PACKED so that is to be expected. My only issue is that there isn’t a Cookout closer to my home in Georgia. This place will become a regular stop on all of out trips north of Georgia from now on!

The affordability of this place I give it five stars. The hamburgers are better quality than McDonalds. Cheaper too. Lol. I rated this place four stars because my visit the restaurant tables were all dirty, no condiments available for your food. I don’t mind cleaning my table to eat but being a restaurant they need to be on top of these things.

I’m on vacation and ordered 2 corn dogs and a mint chocolate chip milkshake. They have GREAT tasting food for a cheap price. They’ve got i think 40 different milkshake flavors and great customer service.

I stopped at this Cook Out on my last trip back home from Atlanta. It was approaching midnight and I’d already tried to stop at a Bojangles’ a few exits earlier, but it was closed. I don’t normally eat so late at night, and if I do it’s even more rare that the meal would be a chunk of charred chuck and a Cheerwine, but Cook Out was calling my name. Deee-lite was keeping me company and Bootsie’s bass line filled my car, setting the mood for the late-night feast. Cook Out lay just down the road from me, and my thoughts… Satisfaction of what’s to come. I couldn’t ask for another. My general thoughts on Cook Out are already outlined in this review for the location in Statesville: The closest Cook Out to Atlanta, as far as I am aware, is in Clemson. This is a travesty. On this visit, I walked into the dining room(this location is not the standard drive-thru-only format) and, as expected, it was empty. I approached the menu, still humming the song in my head. The girl behind the counter asked for my order. «Your groove I do deeply dig,» I replied «Uh… O… K?» I ordered a 1⁄8 lb. burger(perhaps the only time I’ve ever ordered the smallest they offer), and a Cheerwine. I got the burger Cook Out Style(total cost, around $ 2), which has mustard, Cook Out’s meaty chili, their fresh and not runny(mayo-free) slaw, and an entire slice of onion. This is important to point out — When you get onion on a burger at Cook Out, they give you a solid slice of onion the diameter of the burger. I made quick work of the burger because at the current rate I would not reach my destination until nearly 2 a.m. The Small burger is not as flavorful as the Regular size and they overcooked it a tad, but it was still just de-lovely and delicious. No, I couldn’t ask for another. Overall, 8⁄10.

I just paid less than $ 4.00 a piece to feed 3 people!!! This place is great. Very fast and friendly. Their menu is HUGE, so much so that you cannot possibly sit in front of it and make an informed choice about what you want to order before they ask what you want. I can’t complain, the price was right and the food was great. Their combo baskets allow for both rings and fries. The onion rings were 10 times better than Burger King, the fries were meh, but hey for $ 4.00 what can I say?

Usually when I write a centennial review, I try to think of a place that is extra special to me, or something that sticks out in mind. For #400, I decided to choose Cook Out. When my mom and sis went to Charlotte the first time around, they kept telling me about this place called«Cook Out». I have never heard of it before, and the way they kept describing it, the place sounded like a hole in the wall that only truckers eat. My mom claims to this day they have the best hush puppies she has ever had in her life. Her palate is very unrefined, but the intrigued me– as she is one of the pickiest eaters I have ever had to cook for(mind you, she is the kind of person that on my birthday, we went to Flip Burger [ and she tried to order a vanilla shake– they looked at her like she was nuts…). Well, it was my time to go to Charlotte, and about halfway through SC(via I-85), I saw a sign for cook out– and it looked creepy. Real creepy. Not sure why, but it just looked like a sign leading to that place in Revenge of The Nerds where everyone gets trapped in and their asses beat– yea, it reminded me of that. Hunger pains set in, so we decided to stop. And holy shit, am I glad we did! First of all, the menu is huge– I don’t even know everything they offer– as when I saw the Huge(½lb)burger for $ 2.99, I stopped right there. I ended up getting 2, and a foot long hot dog. No, I wasn’t hungry at all. Sis got who knows what, but I know it included a milkshake. I figured with all of the meat we just got, it would take a while. but instead, the exact opposite– it all came out fast! I inhaled mine, and honestly, that was the best $ 3 burger I have yet to find in the nation– it gets a «A» for value in my book– especially these days! The place is large, and clean as well, and also has 2 drive thru windows! The cashiers are very nice too, and you can tell they are Southern :) . On our way back home, you better believe we went back! I got a shake this time too– and they have 40 to choose from– this place has some awesome shakes too! My sis won’t shut up about this place and I can’t stop thinking about it… Lucky for her she is going back to Charlotte this Thursday… … … MUSTBENICE!!! Cheers!

Looks to be a very new business in this town. A regional chain of burger place, I think most are drive thru only, but this location has inside seating. The burger is a solid, good burger, nice beef, nice condiments(lettuce, tomoto & onion seem fresh) but, the thing which sets Cook Out apart are their options of sides… you can choose fries, onion rings, slaw, beans or my favs… HushPuppies or a corn dog(yep, a corn dog is a side item) I guess that’s fast food with a Carolina twist!
