This hotel was clean, quiet, and comfy. The staff was friendly. And the complementary breakfast was delicious with a lot of options.

Stayed in literally thousand of hotels over the years and I have always come to appreciate Hampton Inns. Not this one. Bathroom floor was dirty, a used towels was hanging on the door and the breakfast area was infested with fruit flies. Won’t be back here and my confidence in wavering on Hampton Inns in general after two straight subpar experiences.

I can’t tell you how helpful the staff at the Gaffney location were to me and my family. We had four generations — from my 86 year old grandmother to my 16 month old daughter. They brought us umbrellas at the pool. They found me a corkscrew. I forgot to bring my family’s toothbrushes — the front staff provided us with comps so I wouldn’t have to go out at 10 in the evening. I didn’t even know that was something you prepped for, but by God I was happy about it. If you have to be in Gaffney, SC, then the Hampton is as good as it gets.

So lets be honest about this, Gaffney is not exactly the best area for hotels, but comparatively speaking, it’s understandable how this hotel got to the top of the heap. Pros: — The beds are extremely comfortable — The space is darn good as well, with couches and tables, and a lap desk. — The cleaning service is pretty nice as well, and the walls aren’t paper thin. — HBO is a nice perk as well. Cons: — The price is frankly too high for the area. $ 99 a night at a reduced rate? I didn’t pay that much for the Hilton in much larger cities. — There’s a lack of light sockets in the room. The ones that are in the room are kind of beat up. — The internet is crappy. This isn’t out of the ordinary though. Overall, the problem really stems from the price. It’s frankly just out of line. However, it probably catches a lot of run off from the worse maintained Red Roof down the street. That being said, definitely worth a stay if money isn’t a big deal(or you don’t want a mattress made out rocks and possibly as clean as rocks). 4 Stars for under $ 85

The hotel is showing it’s age. very few outlets in the rooms to plug in electronics. I had to unplug the bedside light to plug in my laptop and then type in the dark. WiFi on the fourth floor sucks! They give you a network cable on the desk but it doesn’t work. the cable runs under the carpet and comes out on the other side of the room but doesn’t plug into anything. Breakfast is what you would expect from a Hampton.

This place was pretty typical for a Hampton Inn. One downside was that they don’t have a gym. You can go downtown to a full service gym and get in with your room key but it’s kind of a hassle. The location was pretty convenient. There are a number of restaurants(mostly chains though) within walking distance and the Prime Outlets(yellow mall) are right next door. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. The breakfast was the usual assortment for a Hampton Inn.
