Really decent food. The food is quick but don’t expect a ground breaking experience in terms of flavor. You’re going to get really basic food which will fill you up but may leave you expecting more. I have both sat down here and also ordered take out and in terms of customer service this place is great just wish the food was as well.

Don’t bother eat in dining. Service was horrible. I asked for duck sauce with noodles. She didn’t know what was noodles and didn’t offer it. She didn’t understand one word I said I was the only one in restaurant and took 40 minutes and no food.

This is by far the worst Chinese food I have ever had. And I’ve had plenty. What a waste of a cheat night.

AMAZINGCHINESEFOOD! I have ordered from China Jade 3 times in the 3 weeks I’ve been living in this new area. I love Chinese food & consider myself somewhat of a connoisseur– especially when it concerns delivery food! This is the only place I’ve ever had Cashew Crusted Chicken. It’s unbelievable! It’s thick, juicy chicken in a thin crust of crushed cashews with a side sauce you can either dip your chicken in, or smother the whole dish. The pork fried rice has delicious seasoned rice, pork, peas, carrots, bean sprouts & onion! Best I’ve ever had. I also had egg drop soup & two spring rolls. Definitely going to have leftovers because I ordered so much, but totally fine because it’s so yummy! The prices are fairly average for this area & it was delivered so quickly, the Cashew Crusted Chicken was HOT still! Very happy with this business, and they’re definitely going to keep getting mine!

Good food, fast delivery. Good food for the price. Diet menu is the best, and the veggie spring rolls. Not good on the sauce in dishes, too garlicky. But other dishes are good for the prices.

The food in this place is OUTSTANDING!!! Their WonTon Soup will make you cry, and MYFAVORITE– Chicken with Snow Peas… YESYESYES!!! You cannot beat the friendly, fast service and the prices are comparable to other restaurants of this type. I have been here several times and will continue to eat here.

I ate here twice and both times — once in the winter and then in the summer — it was hot. There seems to be a fly problem, even in the winter, and the food was not memorable — what the Chinese restaurant industry needs is people who cook like Chinese and treat their customers like Americans. We were not greeted friendly both times we came here and the place was pretty empty.

Worst General Tso chicken I have ever had. Huge balls of ugly chicken. Fried rice wasn’t fresh either.

Been here many times. Food is good, especially their buffalo hot wings(great price). However their fried rice taste and smell old. Beside that, everything is delicious.

I have to agree with a lot of other people on price. This restaurant is pretty pricey. I have been here twice and both times I have had really good meals. The staff was always very friendly and pretty clean as well. Their wonton soup and crab ragoons are good. I actually really like the little crispy things they serve with the wonton soup, it taste different from ones I’ve at other restaurants. My absolute favorite dish is the Spicy Thai Basil Beef, the entrée itself is pretty big however the rice bowl is rather small. There’s almost no left over rice to take home with my left over beef :(

We’ve been using their take out for at least 12 years, in the latter 3 or so, the quality of their food has continually declined, eventually to the point of not tasting good at all. Most recently the chicken chow mein was actually putrid and had to be thrown out. Needless to say, we will be looking elsewhere for Chinese. It’s unfortunate.

This place sucks and that’s just being simply honest. Worst tasting food and they cheat customers by cutting back on expensive ingredients and using old meat that should be thrown away. Dishonest business, and I am never giving these crooks a penny again. Last time I ordered from here, I threw away almost 30 dollars worth of food since meats tasted like it’s been sitting around for days and I couldn’t stomach more than couple bites. Rather be hungry than sick, as I got a dirty feeling about the food and the condition it was made in. I’ve been to all the Chinese restaurants in Gainesville area, and THE worst Chinese restaurant in Gainesville without a doubt or question. Only thing I can’t understand is how anyone can give this place more than one star at best. Friends, employees, or relatives perhaps? I am never ordering from here again.

Tried the crispy shredded beef. Very tough and dried out-overcooked. Did not find the service to be friendly. Try Charlie Chang in centreville, excellent everything!

Wish I could give this place negative stars. Upon arrival the first clue was the place was empty on a Friday evening at dinner time. Second, it felt like it was 100 degrees in there, & last of all… the food was absolute GARBAGE! The spring rolls tasted like they were frozen & nuked in the microwave. The Pad Thai tasted like they used ketchup as the seasoning base… don’t waste your $!

The food here is really, really good, but it is really, really expensive. We got the large General So’s Chicken with white rice, a Won-Ton soup, a large shrimp fried rice, a large chicken fried rice and two egg rolls and it was 41.00 bucks. Don’t get me wrong, it’s the best in the area in my opinion, just bring your wallet.

I really wish I had read the reviews on here before going to China Jade, but it was a spur of the moment deal. Out of the 3 dishes we ordered the only one that was decent was mine, the shrimp lo mein. The orange chicken sucked. The sweet and sour shrimp sucked. The service sucked. Oh and the prices REALLY sucked! I will not be returning to give them a second chance.

I have been ordering from this restaurant for 5 years but today’s order was the last. If the owner is reading this feedback. First off, I was on hold for 5 minutes. Secondly, I had them repeat my order to make sure they understood my order. Third, the food arrived after 1 hour, 30 minutes [est was 30 – 40 mins] Fourth, the veggie order had chicken in it. My wife is a 100% vegetarian! Fifth, the pepper shrimp(chef specialty) was the WORST ever dish I ever ate in my life. Go Figure. BTW, I called them back again to ask them about the veggie order screw up. She told me she will send me a replacement in 20 minutes. Well, we are all waiting in excitement now :) Never again! To the owner: Go get a new life and shut down your restaurant or start providing the service you provided 2 – 3 years back!

A friend and I came here a few days ago and unfortunately another disappointment. China Jade Restaurant… you would think… authentic Chinese Restaurant… nothing can go wrong here, right? AMBIENCE: A bit small and nicer than most typical chinese restaurant. Definitely kid friendly. Booths were comfortable. FOOD: CRABRANGOON Not your typical Crab Rangoon. The wrap used is so thick that it reminded me of a regular pastry you can get at Panera Bread. Crab was scarce. It’s more like a crunchy cheesecake pastry. EGGROLL Nothing bad to say about it. It was alright. HOTANDSOURSOUP Pretty good. They served it on a bigger bowl than I’m used to. It also came with some fried wontons which I love to put in my soup. Best thing we had here! MAINDISH Okay…so we weren’t here to get full since we came for lunch on 4th of July. We didn’t want to stuff ourselves so we only wanted to order 1 main dish — Salt and Pepper Pork Chops with plain rice. Did they have this on the menu? Nope, not at all. So we asked the waitress about it and she was really confused when we said pork chops. She had no idea what we were talking about so we had to explain it to her. Once she realized what it was, she replied…“oh no… we don’t make that here… no one likes to eat meat with bones…” Umm okay!!! Being disappointed about China Jade not offering any pork chops… we settled to try their Hunan Pork. Sweet and spicy with tons of pepper and onions. I guess it satisfied our stomach for that time. Although we haven’t found a decent Chinese restaurant in this area, this is probably the only place we would not go back to.

My mother and I went out for dinner here this evening. It’s the last Chinese restaurant I had yet to try in the Gainesville/Haymarket megaplex. There was only two other tables of diners present when we walked in around 6:00 pm-ish. My mother ordered the Beef and Broccoli with fried rice and I ordered the Hot and Sour soup and a Kung Pao combination — shrimp and chicken — extra spicy. The soup came out first and was good — it was one of the smaller bowls of soup I’ve seen. Then our entrees were brought out — the waitress brought me Kung Pao scallops — not what I ordered. I like Kung Pao scallops — but again — not what I ordered. So I sent it back. 5 minutes later — she brings me a dish of Kung Pao shrimp, chicken, and scallops. Ok, I did not order scallops — it’s like they took the first dish they sent out and added some shrimp and chicken to it. I am going to eat this — I’m hungry. But interestingly enough — there are no peanuts in the dish. Excuse me — Kung Pao without peanuts? WTF? On top of all that, it just wasn’t very Kung Pao-ish. I tasted my Mom’s Beef and Broccoli — I felt like the sauce was very sub-standard. There are several Chinese places in Gainesville considerably better than this place. I won’t be back.
