You want recycled glass countertops and super low flow terlits? Bamboo cabinets? Renewable everything? This is the place for you! When renovating my place a couple of blocks away, I popped in on this shop, hoping to find some very cool stuff to make my abode a little hipper. This they have in spades. Cork flooring, low emissions, reusable, recyclable, etc — this is THE place in the Ville to come and get it. That said, its also pricier than my budget allowed(mostly because I needed to renovate within the home values in my ‘hood — not good to go above the neighborhood — gotta be careful there) Turns out IKEA would get my job done for way less, and still be slick and stylish. But, lets face it — the quality of product is miles apart. I did really like the tile selections, and they were very helpful with pricing and options. I still need to do the kitchen backsplash and they have a couple of products that are still in the running. Gotta make that decision soon. They also carry a small selection of green-earth type gift items, which makes it more than just home renovation supplies. Ownership includes Liberty Phoenix of the acting clan — a nice local angle on a great business. A quick look at their website reveals there is a branch in Atlanta, not sure which came first, but they seem to be doing well. I’m guessing a big designer/professional clientele.
