Jersey Mike’s Subs

we stopped by here to get a quick bit. ive always liked JMS. but their subs arent as good as firehouse. they are generally pretty fillign and tasty. we split one big sub. i cant recall which sub it was though. counter staff were great we got in just 5 minutes before closing.

Saturday lunch around 1:30 they were slammed and so in the weeds the service line was completely out of sandwich meats. The customer line kept growing while they were slicing meat for the line. The 5 or 6 line workers looked lost and unsupervised. I ordered the veggie wrap with ranch dressing and my guest ordered a regular sandwich. Took forever to get our food. In fact some people behind us in line received their food ahead of us. The regular sub was fine but my wrap was so soggy and drenched in ranch dressing it can only be described as a total mess. Our bill for these two items plus chips and drink for each of us came to an astonishing and wopping $ 21.50! Essentially about 33% higher than Subway. If you go to this place do not order the veggie wrap. I will never stop here again.

Have to say up front awesome philly cheese sub. Customer service wins by far is the worst of most business you will find. When I mentioned about Chipped Credit Cards being swiped could make customer responsible young lady working got sarcastic and very unprofessional. Ask for manager to get a hold of owner was told to leave my number and someone would contact me. THIS is truly UNPROFESSIONAL. I will be sure to advertise for you. It’s a shame with such a good product you have such bad customer service. I learn from being in business a happy customer will tell a couple friends an unhappy one will tell EVERYONE !!!

In reference to the other negative reviews, they must have a new team or a new attitude here because this may be the best Jersey Mike’s I’ve ever been too. It’s clean, quick service and very friendly employees. It also has a nice outside seating area with umbrellas. I’ll be back when I’m in the area.

I went back last night had to drop the stars and do not think I will return, this was on Thursday at five, I was the only one in the restaurant when I walked in three employees were in the back having a chat which was no big deal when they came out they were nice enough I ordered then went and had a sit to wait.
As I am waiting I start looking around the floor it was covered and I do mean covered with crumbs and food some so big I can kick them out from under my feet. my eyes then move to the counter where they put fixings on your sub lettuce and other food items everywhere so I keep looking toward the cash register and beyond crumbs of food cover the entire surface crumbs large enough I can see them from where I am seated, this place looks like someone opened a can of bread crumbs and just tossed them up in the air and tossed the occasional handful of lettuce and other fixes here and there.
Many things ran thru my mind, first off what kind of people had come in this place to eat with such abandon that it was impossible for them to keep the food in their mouths. next why on earth had no one cleaned? then to my surprise one of the employees came out with a jacked up broom to sweep, so ok but then for five minutes their feet never moved this person swept the same spot for five minutes which led me to believe considering the state of this place they did this for my benefit and when I left they went back to chatting. so I can only assume a hoard of pigs did not visit this restaurant on a Thursday and I had just missed them perhaps this mess had been there for a while I just do not know I was dumbfounded.
So considering the state of affairs on the lack of cleanliness that I could see it I dont want to ever consider what I cant Oh and by the by if you order a steak and cheese you might want to take the time to put cheese on it after all you not doing anything else.
I really hope they get a handle on the employees as the products are quite good

So I am obsessed with jersey mikes. Not the Gainesville location, however. The kids that work in there are completely disrespectful and all seem like they just woke up. Terrible customer service and the food was not typical jm. Won’t be hitting up the Gainesville location anytime soon. Manager, fire all of your staff and start fresh.

This location sucks. Nobody seems happy or like they want to be here. And it’s reflected in the food which does not taste good or anything like a typical jersey mikes. I’m a huge advocate for the brand but this food tastes as bland as the attitude of the people working here. Tastes almost like everything is watered down. The other person with me verified his food wasn’t good either. Very disappointed.
Also, we requested a sauce that you are promoting within the store. Had to ask three times to get it! Everyone was too zoned out to go get it from the back (unsure why it was not out since it is being advertised and pushed).

I love Jersey Mike’s, their subs are so much better than subway. This is a new location so the place is really clean. My only complaint is the tip process. While they don’t come right out and ask for it, it’s displayed prominently on the screen when paying, and it feels like your being guilted into providing a tip. While I don’t mind tipping for good service, the sandwiches are already pretty expensive. Add a 10% tip on that and you could easily be paying $ 20-​$ 25 for two sandwiches, and that’s not including a drink or chips. I think they’d see more return customers if they paid their employees a little more and did away with the tipping.

Tried this place since I was in the area training for another job. They have lots of options. I got the chicken cheesesteak. It was pretty good. They have meal options that comes with chips and a drink. To me a little pricey but not too bad.

Food is great. Customer Service is not. The lady next to me was having her sub fixed up with condiments. And they asked if she wanted onions and she asked if they were strong. The employee gave her the most dirtiest look and said «I don’t know. All I know is that they go on a sandwich». I’ve had their onions before and told her that they were.

I went in for the first time. I said hello to the girl standing behind the counter. She didn’t respond. The young man making my wrap looked like he would rather be anywhere else. Its basically a bunch of teenagers with an attitude… the food is not so impressive that I would put up with that again.

Come on people, they make one of the best steak & cheese subs around here! Staff when we went was friendly. The only thing I wish was that they toasted their bread a bit. Need to be a bit crunchy of the outside and soft on the inside. mmm

First time going to this place. I ordered the chipotle cheesesteak sub, service was meh but hey I come for the food. I got it pretty fast and when I sat down to eat it, it was a soggy roll and overly sauced to the point where any slip up of the aluminum foil meant instant wash for my pants. It felt like a pain to eat honestly. Took a chance and not coming back there again

Definitely recommend the steak and cheese, best in the area. Only complaint is the staff is not friendly at all, but besides that the food is great!

We ordered 5 subs to go and we were shocked to find when we got home only one was correct. The employees were very rude. Definitely very pissed off about it. Waste of money.

Visited Jersey Mike’s for the first time. I absolutely love the steak and cheese. Love it! I also love the Club sub. So good. Lots of Flavor. The location is great for me but be careful of all the crazies in the parking lot mixing with the shopping center and Wegmans. Drive slowly!

Went here a couple days ago with the husband — we ordered their chipotle cheesesteak — the giant size and just shared it — pretty good size and good flavor — but the bread was really really dry and almost made the sandwich inedible — I didn’t finish my half because of the bread being so bad and ended up throwing it away. We went at around 4 on a weekday so it wasn’t like it was right at closing time or something. Sure the bread is probably most fresh right when they open, but it should still be fairly fresh in the afternoon. Will try them again and hopefully the bread is fresh because the flavors were good. Only other complaint was that the mayo on the sandwich was not spread out very well so you would get a few bites that were just all mayo. The place was empty so there isn’t really any excuse for a sloppily made sandwich.

This place just opened up nearby and we decided to give it a try.
Not impressed with customer service. When I walked in, there was no other customers yet the cashier was trying to rush me on my selection of subs.
Tried two different subs which was at best average taste.
Would not recommend this place!!!

I stalked the building for weeks before it opened once I learned a Jersey Mikes would open in Gainesville! I’m worried they might be a little apprehensive when I come in now because I was always slowly cursing by drooling with crazy eyes! I love LOVE Jersey Mikes subs, I always get the famous philly «Mikes Way» with no peppers or tomato, you canNOT go wrong.
I’ve also been to the one in Manassas quite a few times and while the first few times I went in everyone was friendly, the last time I went in it looked like the 3 kids behind the counter were too busy dicking around with each other to help me. I know this Jersey Mikes just opened and i’ve only been there once but it has so far exceeded expectations and I have a feeling it will be my go to lunch spot!
Oh! Also, they have outdoor seating which is so nice compared to the Manassas one, it also is tucked back off of 29 enough that you aren’t bothered by the traffic there at all whereas the Manassas location is directly on Sudley!

Stopped by for dinner after learning that they opened up! This area has needed a place like Jersey Mike’s for awhile now, so it was nice to see they were putting one in.
I had the Philly, straight up, and it was really tasty. One of things I love is that everything they make is fresh and even sliced right in front of you. I didn’t have to wait long for my order either. They seemed to be moving the line quickly which is always a good sign for a place that just opened.
The staff was friendly and made sure to make us feel like valued customers.
My only issues are that prices are a little steep for subs and they have some competition nearby, but the subs are really good so maybe that will be why they win out. Another thing was the men’s bathroom was rather dirty for only being open for two days. Hopefully they’ll pay attention to it and keep it in better order in the future.
I can’t wait to come back and try some of their other menu items!
