Delicious! I love this place, I wish there was one in Tallahassee for the FSU crowd, decent boba tea is definitely something we’re missing up here. So far I’ve only had the taro milk tea and lychee slush(with mini boba and rainbow jelly respectively), and both were wonderful. The boba is perfectly cooked and the taro milk tea is not too sweet. Of course, these drinks are quite expensive but you can’t beat the vast variety of flavors and add-ons this Lollicup offers.

I was visiting town for family and I love the boba places where I live, practically addicted to it, so I had to find boba in Gainesville! Luckily I found two places, so I went to the other one first and it was good but the options were slim. So I wanted to give Gainesville a second shot at boba but at a different spot which happened to be Lollicup. It was great! I got a mix of Almond and Coconut Milk Tea, it was perfect. Not too sweet and not too bland either. There are vast array of flavors and the possibilities of different flavors to combine. The service was quick, which was lovely. The atmosphere was definitely welcoming and bright. There were plenty of students studying or playing the board games which was nice! The only thing I would’ve changed is the amount of tapioca pearls that I got because I love them, so the more the merrier is always the way to go for me. Other than that, my experience was great!

My favorite milk tea place in town! I only get their milk tea and it has been consistent every single time! :) That’s usually the downfall to tea/coffee places… inconsistency. Keep up the great work!!!

My only complaint is that these drinks are a complete hit or miss. I fell in love with the almond milk tea with boba, but when I tried something obscure it tasted like milk mixed with sweat. Definitely try it and don’t lose hope if you don’t like your first drink(I didn’t like my first two choices) because once you find the one you love you’ll keep coming back!

I’ve been here a once or twice since moving here for college and have always heard a lot of things about this place. A couple of weekends ago I ordered a large tea with boba and it came out to be over 6 dollars. kinda pricey for a drink but I guess it’s unique place enough. The tapioca balls were incredibly hard and gross. not soft and chewy like it’s supposed to be. That kinda irked me after paying that much for a drink. I decided to give it another try last week and got a Thai tea with boba. The boba was pretty decent this time but the Thai tea was sour. Not sure if the milk they put in it went bad or not. It just didn’t seem fresh and seemed as if they pre make the drink and just dump it into a cup instead of making fresh Thai tea then adding the milk before they serve it to you. Anyways, with the past two times I’ve been here, I would rather spend my money at Kung Fu Tea down the road with better boba and cheaper drinks.

I’ve been going to Lollicup for years and the service and bubble tea can’t be beat by any place else! I especially love the taro when I want something sweet, but the plain milk tea is good too!

The best boba place that Gainesville has to offer! Despite the store being a little on the small side, it doesn’t stop the many customers that frequent it daily. Mainly occupied by college students, this place is cool for studying or just hanging out to talk or play the board games offered on their bookshelf there. As for their actual boba tea, they have a wide selection of flavors and tea types. Although I feel like some of their stuff is a little pricier than most other places I’ve been to, I still give this place five stars due to the fact that the owner is very creative and constantly pushing out new drink ideas and bottle designs. This place is constantly improving, and I feel like in time, we can have a place that can compare to the cool boba places on the west coast! Drink wise, I’ve recently gotten the Hibiscus lemonade(I think that’s what it was) with big boba in a glass jar and not only was the drink itself the right amount of sweet and sour, it was cute enough to photograph! This is definitely a cool spot for Gainesville!

I think this boba place is similar to the boba cup in Tampa. The place is cute in the sense. It has out door sitting. I have their strawberry banana yogurt. I have added boba. Very fruity with a twist of sour sweet. It has the wonderful refreshing mix. I like it during the hot weather to drive back from Gainesville to Tampa. The boba chewy keep your mouth moving while driving. Overall the service and order were quick. Process is easy.

I like Lollicup because it’s kind of homey. It’s a nice hang out place! As for drinks, I always get the Hot Royal Milk Tea which is always a favorite of mine. Recently, I got the Thai Tea with Herbal Jelly in their new bottles! I think their teas are good. I also love how Lollicup always tries new things.

I really wish that they could be situated nearer to UF campus! I guess for Florida bubble tea is a novelty and does not have much competition, making the shop a dollar or two more expensive than metropolis bubble tea shops. The largest issue is that it’s too far away for a person that has to take public transportation. Regardless, it was great and has a friendly atmosphere.

Lollicup is an awesome place to hangout with friends on a weekend. Although not a big place, the tables and couches along with board games and manga make this a great place to socialize and have fun. There’s a huge variety of drinks to choose from and there’s always some special going on. Get to know the owner. He’s an awesome person and always fun to talk to. If you want a good place to chill, nothing like chilling out with your friends and some ice cold boba tea!

Before Lollicup opened in Gainesville you had to rely on Starbucks for anything close to a good cup of tea. Fortunately, that is no longer the case. Lollicup offers a diverse menu ranging from brewed loose leaf tea, to boba tea, to macaroons. I regularly go to have an expert cup of iced tea. There is a wall opposite the register that has around 50 tea offerings in all the major tea styles. Black, green, oolong, white, herbal, and roobos are all represented. When I can’t decide on which style to have I just ask the helpful staff to choose one of their more recent favorites. Make it half sweetend with their honey, and I’m good to go. For seating the store offers a mix. Couches for socializing and playing their many board games on one side, tables and chairs for studying on the other. You can even catch the local game on TV. Top it off with the knowledgeable friendly staff and this is the place to go for any tea seeker.

Lolicup was the only real Asian drink store in Gainesville until Kung fun tea opened up. I like lollicup a bit more because I prefer the speciality drinks as opposed to milk tea. plus lollicup has a huge selection of add-ins(ex. custard pudding and jellies!!!) the macaroons are over priced though(typical for this snack) I love the shirts and games offered at this establishment. they even have a few cakes to snack on while you drink your drink. Before I started to drink their drinks, I loved their shaved ice. Come by and chill here when you have time

Before coming to Gainesville, I had no idea what milk tea was or what bubble tea was or needless to say I had no idea about Taiwenese tea, and, to be honest, I still don’t know what any of those are, but what I do know is that I love them, or at least the ones made at Lollicup. This tea place not only sells different cool teas that you’ve probably never had in your life but also sweets, ice cream, and other cool food that you wish you could afford but then you remember that you’re a college student. What I love mostly about Lollicup is it’s cool atmosphere. The store is always filled with music, board games, books, etc. There’s something for everyone to do. I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting Nam, the owner of Lollicup, but what I’ve seen and heard he’s such a philanthropical guy that does so much for he Gainesville community and is very about his business and customers, which is probably guy the drinks are so good. Nam is always doing fundraisers for the community with the help of his customers, and also often does giveaways at Lollicup for the customers. I love this approach to doing business. The only thing I don’t like about Lollicup is that they’re a bit overpriced, in my opinion.

Love this locally owned Boba shop. I’ve been here many times, and all their drinks and desserts have been delicious! I like their macaroons, I can eat 6 at a time, they are so good! I love the Vietnamese iced coffee with boba too! It’s a strong espresso drink that helps wake me up. The other flavored milk teas are great too, I can’t remember all the ones I’ve tried. People are friendly here, I will be back!

Pros: A wide variety of drink options including milk teas, regular tea, slushes, custom drinks, sugar cane juice, coffee, and snow fluff. Lovely space to relax with an assortment of board games and a calm and relaxed atmosphere. Cons: A little pricey for drinks. Not too quiet for studying. Bottom Line: Lollicup is the oldest boba shop in Gainesville and offers a nice selection of drinks and a great space to chill with friends over a few games. If choosing between Lollicup and Kung Fu Tea, I’d say Lollicup has better slushes and Kung Fu Tea has better teas. I have been coming to Lolicup for several years now; in fact before its major competitor Kung Fu Tea opened up last year, it was the go=to Boba place for many people. Although there are now more boba options then when I first came to Gaineville, Lollicup remains a local favorite and my go-to place for slushes. My favorite drinks are the Royal Milk tea slush. The texture is perfect and reminiscent of a lighter frappucino, and in my opinion the drink reaches the perfect level of sweetness with blended ice. You also get the added benefit of not having a good volume of your drink occupied by useless ice as it constantly dilutes your drink. Additionally I recommend trying a half-avocado/half taro slush. It’s so filling, creamy, and delicious that it could count as an entire meal! It’s also the perfect post-workout drink. What Lollicup does extremely well is its mission to provide a great sense of service to its customers. The owner Nam always tries to give back to the community through various philanthropies. He is a strong supporter of the Asian-American community, especially in terms of its advocacy projects; Additionally Nam also seeks to meet the changing demands of the community by trying out new menu items such as desserts, pita pizzas, and macaroons. The macaroons are immensely popular and come in tens of flavors! One thing I dislike about Lollicup is its prices; I always seem to pay a dollar more than at other tea shops in Tampa or California. Additionally while the drinks are good for Gainesville I much rather prefer the drinks from the Kaleisia Tea Lounge in Tampa and Half and Half in California which has more coherent flavors. Overall Lollicup meets the community’s needs by providing great drinks and a fun ambiance for large groups. You can always find people coming through their busy doors. Make sure to stop here for some of the best Boba in Gainesville.

Lollicup is a great place! Sad that Im graduating and won’t be able to come here anymore. And to the person complaining about not getting a sample of ice cream…(Sum L.) I’m sure the only reason you reviewed lollicup was because of that incident. Kung fu tea isn’t just as good. I prefer lollicup. If lollicup is stingy to you, then kung fu tea is just as stingy. Sure they let you combine stamp cards, but if you decide to use a coupon of some sort, you get NO stamps. At lollicup you get to use whatever coupon you want and still get a stamp.

Taro or Thai tea all the way! Those are my usually, but almost all of the flavor I’ve had, has been great! Don’t forget the boba! Their macaroons are pretty awesome as well and they are a good treat to munch on when you are studying or chilling there

For someone who is very picky about her bubble tea, I am very blown away by this place! 1) This place has an awesome energy! As soon as you walk in, there are photos of Lego superheroes on your right, books and board games to the left, and comfy sofas straight ahead. There’s also a big flat screen, chill music at a decent volume, and very vibrant space. 2) The employees are so sweet and friendly. Ready to answer my questions, give suggestions, and very welcoming. 3) So far, I’ve only had the macarons and an iced coffee with coffee jellies. The macarons are ordered from a French bakery in NYC. I got the coconut chocolate and matcha, and both were good esp the former. Some may critique that the filling of the coconut chocolate might have been too thick, but I liked it a lot and found it to be a good ratio. Unfortunately, the iced coffee fell kind of flat in the flavor department. I may not order the coffee again, but they offer so many options that I’m sure I’ll be back again soon to try something else. 4) The prices are pretty good. Makes it easy to wanna try everything! Next up will probably be avocado or taro. Yummy!
