Mac Cosmetics

The manager was SO rude. I didn’t know if MAC’s products would create the right look I was going for, so I decided to recreate the look in the store and test it out and buy the products I liked. I’ve been to countless MAC’s over FL and they’ve never had a problem with me using their makeup! This one, though, the manager followed me everywhere and was staring me down as I applied and made me uncomfortable. She then came over and took the eyeliner from my hand and handed me an applicator and said «You’re not allowed to just put your makeup on. And you’ve used this product. Now I have to damage it.» I told her I was sorry and didn’t know and then she said «Do you work in Macys?» I said no, she assumed I did because I was wearing all black„ then she goes «Well, just so you know, we’re not even allowed to just use this makeup. Why would you? If you want to use something, ask.» SO SO SO RUDE. You know what, lady? I would’ve bought about 5 products if it weren’t for your attitude. This MAC is a joke.

Although I LOVE Mac cosmetics, I’m glad this isn’t my only option for purchasing them. The staff is horrible. I’ve been in there twice and both times was treated like I was bothering the staff, by different sales people. This last time, I wanted a lipstick and skin care item, she acted like it was an inconvenience and then ignored me so I moved to the makeup mirror. When I came back a minute later deciding to buy, another, larger, sale had approached her so she completely ignored me. I stood there for several minutes before I actually had to ask if she could help me finalize my purchase. She grabbed what I needed and tried to get back to her other customer, who looked like she was wandering off, but was just moving to the other side of the store. She was so much more concerned with that than me. Then I had the nerve to ask for a matching lipliner. She SIGHED and pulled one out. «This one goes well with that shade.» Didn’t show me a sample or give me an option. Also, kind of minor but when I asked about how the shade looked with my skin tone, she was disinterested but told me it looked fine. When I got it home, it didn’t. I really hate bad customer service, this was really surprising for a Mac store.
