O’Charley’s Restaurant & Bar

Terrible service and terrible food. I work in a restaurant so I understand if it gets busy, but that still doesn’t mean to be a terrible sever. I ordered the shrimp pasta and then sever thought I said the Tuscan pasta which has chicken. She sent it back to the kitchen and the manager brought out the shrimp pasta (the one I was supposed to have). When I tried the pasta it was nasty and the shrimp had no flavor. The sauce was basically just oil. I will definitely not recommend going here. The only good thing about O’ Charley’s are the rolls.

I have been coming here on and off for years and never did a review for this location. Being closer to my Church, we come here after and usually with 6 or more people. What surprises me is how they can handle a plethora of 6 – 8 tops and tons of 4 and are able to do well in keeping up.
But to the food. Depending on the day of the week, for Sundays– I generally go for the California Chicken salad as do many. Its got plenty of chicken but mostly good greens, strawberries, mandarine oranges, pecans and a raspberry vinaigrette. Great portion and good sweet tea here. Other great lunch items are the chicken fingers and panko shrimp are fantastic! Everybody knows the rolls are great and if you are patient on a Sunday lunch, at LUNCH time, the service is ok. It’s slow. but they are packed.
I’ve been here in the week and generally sit at a booth in the bar for best service. Their grapefruit mango margaritas are to die for and I love their homemade chips and the salmon plank if they have it. Good chicken sandwiches and the burgers are generally quite good.
The price is very fair for what you get and I have not left disappointed. Will try for dinner one night and see if there is any difference. I will be back as it is great Sunday visit for me for convenience.

My friend and I go in about once a week. We always ask for Anna because she is the best server!

I will say the host was the best part of our experience! The server took 8 minutes to great us… took 15 min for drinks. Fries came out cold and we asked for hot fries… same as the last. Super disappointed. Our simple request were not considered with our order. Will not be back…

I had high hopes for the Nashville hot chicken sandwich based on some recommendations from a couple buddies. I always try to stop at Prince’s Hot Chicken Shack when passing thru Nashville and this menu item was supposed to be inspired from it. Not even close. The chicken had a little hotness to it but was almost to salty to eat. I don’t know if it was an off day but it wasn’t very good.

O’charleys is O’Charleys. It’s consistent but nothing special food wise, not over the top. But good and there is a value. I can say that. But last night my uncle, aunt and I had a late dinner. Sat in the lounge. I want to say our server was Leah. I hope that was her name so she gets recognition, if management checks this. My uncle and I are jokester and we like to laugh and make people laugh.
Our server was spot on with getting a vibe on that and was just as fun. If you go and eat there ask for her, she really was having some good comebacks quick with our banter. I haven’t eaten at an O’Charleys in 10+ years but I honestly would go back to to have her take care of us so we could laugh. I don’t like robot servers that read off of a script, so to speak, I like personality. So hopefully next time I do go back, she is there and we get her. I hope I remembered her name right.
I’m in the business and I’m a GM at a restaurant in Roswell. So I honestly can say, great service. It would have been a five but again, the food didn’t wow me by any means, but it was exactly what I was expecting. Would have been a 2, for food alone but the server was great. No manager did a table touch, weird for me because it should happen in every restaurant. But it is what it is.
Ask for her, you will be happy.

Stopped in again for lunch. 11:30 am. Told we would again have to wait to be seated. No we Walked across the street to long horn. seated right away and had bread and drinks in front of us in five minutes.
Ocharlies has went downhill in a hurry, service, good Quality. Very Sad. I used to eat there once a week. But no more. This is the third time we experienced this understaffed bull.

Rose was our server. What excellent service she provided and thoughtful of our constant needs.
The food was excellent and very affordable.
A very good choice for lunch or dinner.

We try to avoid chain restaurants for the most part but O’Charley’s always has a very good brunch. We split the overloaded brunch platter and it was perfect for two to share. Justine was our server and she was great!

I love O’Charley’s for their free pie Wednesday, hot yeast rolls, and potato soup. Our last visit I got the Tuscan chicken which was good but really garlicky and cheesy. The chicken breast is grilled with melted cheese and the pasta is tossed garlic and more cheese– definitely not a skinny meal by any means. Serves was great. My boyfriends green beans were room temp for the second time in two weeks so we had to address the manager about that. She quickly apologized and took care of it.

Eek… can’t speak for the food, because I didn’t eat it. In the past, it’s always been fairly good. This time, though, while I was waiting on the bread to come out, I saw a cockroach crawl across my table. The manager said that the exterminator had visited recently… I left without eating.

I love the food but having to wait at the bar for my To Go order is not good. Why did you change? I have been waiting 20 minutes for an order I called in 40 minutes ago. Before I could pickup at the little window, bad ideas can ruin a good place!!!

Clean and family suited. Fresh yeast rolls were hot and… gone! The country fried steak was only so-​so, smashed taters were very good as were the green beans. The server was a bit slow, never got a tea refill. Rate 3 of 5

Just had an amazing full rack of ribs. Two sides one was delicious broccoli but the pilaf was kind of bland. Awesome wait staff.

Food was ok. BBQ ribs were dry & sauce was spicey. They put pepper on fries which the kids don’t like. Employees were not the friendliest. You get a 10% discount if staying at Comfort Suites & show your room key.

Horrible. There was a gnat in my water AND my shrimp was not cooked all the way through. They didn’t even comp anything. Safe to say I will not be going back.

We go to this place every 2 weeks and always have a good experience. We really enjoy the Pecan tender and California chicken salads. Lots of tasty chicken and pecans. The waiters are very professional and management is always around
To make sure that you are happy. For lunch we consider this one of the best bets in Gainesville.

I have dined at this location 3 times and every time the service was fairly slow. Mainly the food was not up to par and the broccoli was soo salty. I had to dip it in my water glass to rinse it. The chicken pot pie was ok. I guess after 3 times… I know I prob. won’t return. (The rolls are good as always.)

Totally enjoyed my meal. The waiter recommended a great dish and i actually took the suggestion this time. My drink was always full… I never had to ask for a refill the waiter automatically did it!
