It is a pleasant and slightly breezy day in Gainesville this morning, so I decided to take my date here for pancake day. I got a single banana pancake, a quiche of the day slice, and fresh fruit. My date stuck with pancakes. We sat outside on the patio to enjoy the day, and to get away from the noise inside the restaurant. The coffee was good but not especially memorable. The pancake looked fantastic, but tasted only ok – it certainly looked better than it tasted. The quiche was good, but again not special. I like a quiche that is not dry, and has body to it, more like an excellent cheese cake, but this one was not of such a caliber. We upgraded our fresh fruit to blueberries, strawberries and banana and it was really good. So all in all, it was a nice pleasant breakfast in a relaxing setting, but nothing special. I will probably be back at some point, but will not make a special trip here. There are lots of good places in Gainesville for breakfast, and this one just does not stand out, but it certainly is not gross. Oh, by the way, it is more expensive than most of the other places around as well.

Literally would come here just for the apple fritters. The stuffed French toast and chicken and waffles are super good too. Service can be a little slow though. Also, try to avoid this place during Saturday and Sunday brunch– way too crowded

Had the Café Croissant — scrambled eggs, shaved ham and brie on a croissant. Sounds delish! In reality. not so much. The croissant was not fresh from a bakery or even croissant-like. It was a roll/bun in the shape of a croissant — BIG difference! The fresh shaved ham was just deli meat tossed on a griddle for a few seconds. And the brie was not brie… it was a brie sauce. The staff was friendly and efficient. But all in all, this place reminded me of a First Watch — great menu descriptions and photos, followed by very average & bland food.

I’m updating this review because I finally got to take my boyfriend here.(And also because my last review was with an ex so I thought I’d replace it.) I’ve always loved the way being at Peach Valley made me feel. It’s always been cozy and tasted like home. We got here at around maybe 10am on Thursday. My boyfriend was rather hungry and enjoyed his skillet tremendously. He couldn’t even finish it! I had ordered a veggie and egg croissant and tried with all of my might to finish those darn good home fries. Their coffee and café mocha were good, but the star of this establishment remains the same and if you come here and don’t order the apple fritters then you’re not doing yourself any favors. These glorious cinnamon-sugar coated apple fritters dipped in strawberry yogurt are what fairytales are made of.(Unfortunately, they are also unhealthier. Oh well, treat yoself.) Thank you Peach Valley, for making me and my boyfriend(this one, not the ex) incredibly full and superbly happy.

I had the santa fe chicken wrap with fries. It was extremely good. The breakfast menu looked far superior though so I will have to go back to try it.

Pretty consistent breakfast food– I like the Apple fritters and the berry yogurt dipping sauce that comes with it. Their iced coffee drinks are delicious as well. Service is usually really friendly, but when they are busy, it can be slow. I get the omelette with biscuits and potatoes. Sometimes the potatoes are not crispy and are a little soggy, but that’s nothing a little ketchup can’t fix. Overall, it is a great place to grab breakfast other than Cracker Barrel.

I have been going to Peach Valley for the past few years and have always used it as a place to coax my friends into breakfast/brunch food. If I’m eating with someone who is not really a breakfast foodie person, I take them here because this place is basic enough where they should find something they like. I find it be a basic breakfast/brunch place because it reminds me of many different brunch chains I have been to. Nothing TOO special or outstanding about it. It’s good, don’t get me wrong, but that’s it. I cannot think of anything about the place that stands out about it besides their apple fritters, which I always enjoy getting as an appetizer before my meal. Since I mentioned food I will go into that. I always get the Valley Fiesta when I come here because I love chorizo and Mexican style food. I like it but I know it’s not authentic, but it’s the closest I can get to having avocado and meat in any of my dishes. Their chicken and waffles are decent as well, one of the better places to get in Gainesville. Their French toast and waffles are really good too if you enjoy sweet breakfast foods. I never order their lunch when I come here so I cannot say anything about their burgers but I have heard good things about. However, one of my friends did order a steak here one time and it was not cooked well and he had to get it remade. Their service is not bad. I have never had a bad experience when I have eaten here so I must commend Peach Valley on their service. Their is always a line to get a table during the weekends, especially during prime brunch hours, so try and get here early or just expect to wait. I know they take reservations as well. The ambiance is very cheery and bustling. I personally would favor a different breakfast/brunch place which has a more local/homier feel, which is an ambiance I prefer but I cannot complain about the vibe I get from Peach Valley. For some reason I just find the place to be very sunny and cheery. All in all, I like Peach Valley but it is not my favorite breakfast/brunch place in the world. It is a very popular place to eat in Gainesville and is a great place to take visiting family and friends so I would recommend bringing people here. I have enjoyed myself every time I have eaten here, and I still have been coming here after all these years.

I heard many great things about this place and wanted to see what the hype was about. The food was decent. It wasn’t anything out of the ordinary. I got the eggs Benedict and my husband got the chicken and waffles. The chicken was overcooked by the heat lamp and was slightly chewy. I’ve had better eggs Benedict. The service was subpar. Our waitress forgot about us even though we sat at the bar in front of the kitchen.

I love the Peach Valley Café. The breakfast is competitively priced, the food is high-quality — fresh eggs, delicious home fries and very light, fluffy biscuits — and the service has always been friendly and competent. The seats are very comfortable and the place is always bright and clean. I’ve eaten breakfast at quite a few places in town, and PVC remains my favorite. I’ve never had a bad breakfast there, although if I had to pick one thing to improve, I guess I’d say that the coffee is sometimes a little strong. This happened the other day, but my server, Lois Lane, offered to dilute it for me. I also went there a couple of days after a tooth extraction, because their biscuits are so soft. It was near the end of breakfast, and when I told her about my tooth, she brought me a couple of extra biscuits to take home. I REALLY appreciated that! They get very busy on the weekends, so you want to get there early. But if you oversleep and end up having to wait, it’s worth it.

I loved Peach Valley more so the first time I went than the second! Mainly because the second time I got lunch items that were below par. If they still have it, definitely try the Hoq Waffle, perfect contrast of savory, sweet, and salty. Another great item on the menu are the apple fritters. I have gotten them both times I went. The first time they were slightly doughy, and the second a bit overdone. I would get still order them again! There is absolutely no wait if you get there before 9AM, anytime after that be prepared to wait. If you do venture to Peach Valley do not get anything but breakfast items. I have gone to get lunch items and the lunch items are below standard. I got the Cuban Sandwich and the Philly Cheese Steak. The main problem was the bread on both dishes. The Cuban Sandwich was also not pressed, as is the traditional sandwich, instead the bread seemed to be covered in butter/oil. The Philly Cheese Steak should have definitely had more/different cheese(WHIZZ is always a classic) and the bread needed work. GETTHEAPPLEFRITTERSANDPEACHBELLINI!

NEVEREVEREVEREATHERE. I normally have had decent experiences here in all my years in Gainesville. Today I came here with a group of about 10 people and we were so polite– we said our pleases and thank yous, our may Is and even more thank yous, even after they replaced my friends omelette which she discovered had a couple of hairs in it. Our waiter offered us to-go coffees and I was one of the people who accepted. I went next door to grocery shop and nearly finished my entire cup when a FUCKINGLOOGIE spills out of my mouth and stuck to my lip and face. WHATTHEACTUALFUCK. I wouldn’t even let myself register what it was since I was afraid I would vomit. But it was quite distinctly a sticky wad of spit. Again. WHATTHEFUCK. I went back to PVC, remained as calm as possible and asked to speak to the manager. She was quite empathetic and comped my meal and I could tell she was really sorry, but when our actual waiter, Terry, came around and she told him about it… he didn’t seem surprised… even my friend who came in with me to chaperone the scene sensed it. Anyway, while the manager was as polite as she could be and offered her help, I will NEVER eat there again. I just can’t trust it. The comped meal was a nice gesture l, but it didn’t alleviate my disgust. The hairs in the food was one thing, but the spit!!! That’s just another level of disgusting and unacceptable. Get your shit together Peach Valley. FIRETERRY. Establish and ACTUALLYIMPLEMENT sanitary practices. I’m boycotting your establishment and sharing this in all forms of social media until you do.

Great place for breakfast! Ate here with my sister and we were seated immediately. The waiter took a couple of minutes to come and since it took him a couple minute to greet us he brought us a complementary order of apple fritters, and they were wonderful. The omelet I ordered was great as well as the biscuit. I would come back again for sure!

A lot of my friends love this place but it’s just average for me. Their apple fritters is probably one of the best things on the menu(reminds me of fried apple pie coated in sugar and then you dip it in strawberry yogurt). I’ve had their chicken & waffles and it’s okay. Maybe bc I’ve been to Metro Diner in Jacksonville where their chicken & waffles is literally the best I’ve ever had, peach valley just cannot compete. Theirs is more of a chicken tenders and waffles. I’ve tried their regular breakfast items and it’s just«okay». Nothing really stands out to me, and I always wonder why the line is so long. 3 stars for the apple fritters and good service, but average food.

Caramel iced coffee without caramel. Only little over whiped cream and that its as «caramel iced coffee. Taste watery, bland and not sweet at all. Its hard to use sugar in cold drinks every one know u cant melt it easy .We ordered for 5 people and it took almost 20 mins to get it. Banana waffel with whip cream. Sound easy but this dish came super cold so waffel turn only in peace of rubber. Not good at all sad dish. Waitress in slow motion service.

The only reason I’m giving this a 4-star and not a 5-star is because there were some minor hiccups. The sweet tea was gross, the waitress had to bring me a different drink and then never offered a refill, and the apple fritters took a while to get to me(it was a to-go purchase) and when I got home there were only 6, when I was told I was paying for 8. Now to the positives. I had the chicken and waffles, which were fantastic. The chicken was a tad spicier than I would’ve liked, BUT everything was still very good. I also had a side of grits with my order, and they were the bombdotcom. So good. The waitress, Brittany was very nice and she steered me away from the Cajun syrup which more than likely would’ve been way too spicy. Will definitely go to again.

This place, I heard from a friend is very good for breakfast and brunch, so went ahead for sunday brunch. I had the apple fritters(half) portion, which is 4 pieces — so these are deep fried battered apple flavored balls, the way it is presented in nice(they add the fritters with cinnamon sugar in a paper bag and shake-it all around, give a side of strawberry cream. I got the Chicken Pot Pie as well, that was really good, it is really heavy and I just managed to finish it. There were huge chucks of chicken strips there and I wish there was a little more stew in it. The service is really good.

Peach valley is clean, fast, and affordable. It is your second best mimosa style brunch walking distance from the UF campus. The breakfast is fresh and consistent, their lunch items are good as well, and the service is pretty good. The items I have experienced are the chicken salad wrap(avg), chicken pot pie(big portion/good), vegetable croissant(delicious), apple fritters(good when cooked fully), and omelettes. Everything is fresh, so why not five stars? Although the food is good, the food at Peach Valley is just typical food. Nothing that captures your attention, no appealing décor, nothing that keeps you going back, except for the fact that it’s a pretty cheap brunch place with quick turnover. It’s a step up from an ihop, but a step down from any big city brunch spot. I would say try it, but don’t expect your mind to be blown. Just quick, affordable, and consistent. If you like peach valley, you will enjoy brunch at bagels unlimited, sister’s, 43st deli, and 101 downtown.

A great spot for breakfast or a home cooked meal. Everything I’ve had has been great but worth mentioning are the biscuits and gravy as a bargain option and the grits are actually something you crave I don’t think I’ve ever said that about grits before.

After reading the reviews we decided to give this spot a try while visiting the area. Must say that we did not find the reviews matched the food. We had a very short wait and our server was attentive. She told us the Valley Fiesta and the Chicken and Waffles were her favorite dishes. So we decided to try them both. We also started with an order of their ‘famous’ apple fritters. First the fritters were served hot and with a strawberry sauce. Unfortunately they were very doughy and we had a hard time distinguishing any apples. The strawberry sauce tastes just like strawberry yogurt with nothing else. Not impressed. My husband had the Valley Fiesta. Big disappointment here. The chorizo was a very thin patty of very dry and overcooked meat. It was not appetizing to look at at all. The pico de gallo was fresh but it just was a ho-hum dish. The side of potatoes was good after adding a touch of salt. Chicken and waffles. Well the chicken came out and there were two pieces that looked golden brown and the rest looked dirty brown as if it were overcooked. Not sure of they were fried in different oils or what caused the difference. The chicken was very bland. The breaking had no flavor at all. The waffles were large and crisp. They unfortunately we’re not served hot enough to melt the blueberry butter ball on top. The side of syrup was nothing special. All in all a rather big disappointment.
