Really don’t want to rate them bad but. Used to love this place. It’s just a little local sub place. I go in today at 3:15 as I’m walking in one of the lady employees was just staring and me then said hey, I said hi. I walk up to the counter as I look around there are 6 employees and then one nicely said we are closed. If you are closed then don’t have the door unlocked. The girl who said hey to me then walks over and said I told you we we’re closed. Well she must have mumbled it cause I would have walked out. Hopefully if I ever try to come again I will have better luck. Moral: if your closed please lock your door.

The gyro, sub and bagel we ordered was all mediocre. The folks working here seemed confused about, well, everything. When the guy ringing us up made a mistake and asked his co-worker for help, she yelled at him. I won’t be back.

I ate here for the first time today. I think it is a very average sub, comparable to Subway. The bread tasted fresh, very little meat, lots of shredded lettuce and skimpy on the other toppings. It is in the Home Depot shopping center.

If you were to view Sub Stop Café from the outside and think«What’s the best this place could possibly be?», your expectations would probably be exceeded. As others have said, the location is within the Home Depot plaza off of Tower Rd, obviously not a plaza known for many dining options. I like coming here a lot for a quick lunch with reasonable prices. The employees are very friendly and they seem to have a great chemistry going because they never look cramped even though there are often many people moving about behind the counter(at least during peak lunch hours). I’m partial to the chef’s salad and usually only come here when I want that specifically, but I’ve tried a few of their subs and enjoyed them as well. The menu is sprawling with hot and cold subs, baked potatoes, nachos, pitas, salads, soup/chili, not to mention a large breakfast menu. 3.5 stars, rounded up to 4 in hopes that they continue to succeed in their obscure location.

I have worked 5 minutes from the sub stop for the past 11 years. I have watched it go through many transitions and have always been a big fan. I can honestly say that after today I will never go back there again in my life. The place was so dirty… I would have turned around right away but had no time and had to get back to work. I ordered the same sandwich I have a hundred times and it is discussing. I watched as they microwaved the roast beef until it turned black and tough. As if the dirty store and the terrible sandwich wasn’t bad enough I guess because it is summer the owner and employee had all of their kids there siting in a booth… obviously that would never bother me. What did bother me was watching the owner come around from behind the corner to rip one of the children up by her arm and spank her numerous times right in front of me while the other employee screamed from behind the counter to be quiet. How parents parent is none of my business and quite frankly I don’t really care if you spank your kids but as a business owner you should think twice about hitting your children in front of customers. I felt so uncomfortable I couldn’t get out of there quickly enough.
