If you want to pay $ 9 for an average sandwhich, then it’s a great lunch spot. 2 Stars = I had high expectations which was my first mistake. The high prices and sub-average subs did this Unilocaler in. To be honest if I wanted a sub I would have gone somewhere else… I was hoping for a deli sandwhich. I came here knowing that they had a cool way of ordering your sandwhich and was hoping to get an above average sandwhich. I was feeling a BLT toasted on white bread so that’s what I ordered. The cashier punched the buttons on his machine to place my order and next thing I knew I was paying over $ 12 for a Medium BLT with chips and drink. A little pricey for a BLT but I decided to give it a try. Well, needless to say, the BLT didn’t taste like a $ 9BLT and I would have rather gone somewhere else or just made my own BLT.

My go to meal for lunch is a sub when I’m in a new town. Now I have been here for a good bit now. I’m working in a fast food section of town. Not much around for a tasty bite. Right now I tried a most of the sandwich shops around and today was which wich’s turn. This place is as small as it looks from the outside. I walked in and they have a funky way of ordering. You grab a bag under the the name on the signs. Then you take it up and they make it for you. Well this sub is fair at best. The meat is there but just not much of it. I did see a couple of different meats on an italian sub. They did toast the bread for which I do like. that’s about all that it had going for it. I might eat here again but it will be a longtime.

After passing by this place so many times, I finally decided to stop by. The first thing I noticed upon walking in was the row of paper bags along the wall. Which Wich has a very efficient ordering system where you simply mark off on a specific paper bag your desired sandwich and then turn it in to the cashier. We came at a time where the customers were few so we didn’t have any problems with the ordering system, but I can see how this might be a bit of a problem if the place is crowded. I’m a really indecisive individual when it comes to food so I definitely spent a while picking out a paper bag. I decided to get the Greek sandwich. It was yummy but not anything special. I personally did not get food poisoning and neither did my partner. The sandwich also had a really decent amount of meat so I did not feel«skimped out» on in any way. I also added a milkshake to the order. The vanilla milkshake was also good but really sweet. The best part is the plastic yellow cup it comes in. I love being able to reuse these cups at home since my apartment seems to always have a shortage of plastic cups. Overall, my experience was pretty good. This is a place I am planning on returning to.

I’ve tried this place three times and I’ve only had one good experience. The first time I had the crab and artichoke salad, and it was so bad I couldn’t even finish it. The second time I decided to get the pepperoni pizzawich, it was good. But it’s not really hard to mess that up. Lastly I got the buffalo chicken, it was terrible. The chicken is shredded and the amount of buffalo sauce was laughable. I wish I liked the food here because there’s so much variety, but so far I’ve just wasted money on their high priced, mediocre sandwiches. Their shakes are alright though.

Pretty cool idea … a ton of different ways to make your own sandwich. Reasonably priced, not huge portions, friendly staff.

Hmmm sandwich in a bag. It is a little distracting when you first come in, because you have to be «trained» to order a sandwich. I am not really sure why they bother with the silly bags, as they do not use them when you eat inside. In fact, it is kind of an environmental waste in that the sandwich is laying on top of the bag that is not really used. It is not even faster than going up to the register and telling the counter help what you want, because they have to come out and help you anyway. It seems like some corporate wonk thought it would be a clever way of doing things … someone who never worked in fast food. Ah well, the reuben sandwich I had was great, as was my partners blt sandwich. Good food, silly ordering system, and a rather small inside place to eat. Was also a bit pricy for what you get, but yeah, if I wanted a sandwich, and was in the area — meaning already on that side of archer road and didn’t have to fight the traffic, and thought of it in time to make the turn, and there was actually a place to park … then yeah, I would come back.

The place has a interesting concept for ordering. You basically come in and grab a bag/order form and fill out what you want on your sub or sandwich. I now understand why subway is such a smashing success. It is just as good and about half the price. Next time I will stick with Zoe’s kitchen:) this place was very average.

Tuna is my sandwich of choice and they make it pretty good. Little did I know I could get it «skinny» which is the middle portion of the bread removed. This makes for a much better sandwich to not have so much bread. I will also say that the no smoking outside area was nice UNTIL someone began smoking and the people working in the place did nothing when I asked about this and pointed out the individual who was smoking.

First time coming to Gainesville and this is the first time coming to Which Wich. friendly staff who came from behind the register to assist us on how to make our sandwiches and what the different bags mean. I love sandwiches and they accurately made my perfect sandwich! Will def return :)

Probably the worst $ 16 sandwich I’ve ever eaten. With the exception of the excessive amount of salt, it had no taste. I ended up using a or of Sriracha on it when I got home to make it palatable. I wanted to try something new since I just got here — should have stuck with 5 Guys or Chipoltle!

Process is easy peasy. I ordered a hot crab salad sandwich with mozzarella and lots of crushed red peppers. It was delicious. The bread was great and the sandwich chefs were top dollar in courtesy and efficiency.

I earned a free sandwich with my mooches on the Moocho app, so I came in to give it a try. The setup of the restaurant is neat and they have some interesting sandwiches. It was hard to pick one because there were so many great sounding choices! I ended up choosing a monte cristo. It was delicious: the only reason why I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I asked for it to be hot on my bag, but it was cold. I’ll be going back! But I’ll make sure that my sandwich is made correctly before I leave!

Pretty tasty meats spreads and toppings but AWFUL bread — and it gave me diarrhea. Avoid. Don’t do it.

Pretty standard sandwich shop. This particular location is annoying because the parking is a bottleneck. The spaces are tiny. The entrance and exit is not convenient. And there is a lot of backup because of the Starbucks walkin customers and drive thru crowd. They are different because they offer a lot of different sandwich options and you get to write everything you want down on a brown paperbag before your sandwich is made.

Which Wich is located in the same plaza as WalMart off Archer Road, between Chilis and TGIF. You can order in store, via their App, or online. They have both inside and outside seating, but I wouldn’t recommend it for groups of larger than 6 if you want to sit together; even less if they are busy. As to their food, prices are pretty reasonable though I wouldn’t say you get the most«bang for your buck» as the portions of the meat aren’t very large. I would still rate it better than Subway, but not as good as Firehouse in this aspect. They do have a pretty neat ordering system(shown somewhat in my picture) where you select the bag type you want from a variety of options ranging from vegetarian to turkey to chicken to Italian and more. From there you select your specific sub, size(7, 10.5, or 14 inches), your extras, toppings, and more. You turn it in to the cashier, pay for it, then it gets put into production. Pretty painless process overall, which I appreciated. As for my order, I ordered from their classics menu and thought I’d try something completely different, so I got their Monte Cristo(Ham, Turkey, grape jelly, and powdered sugar). It was pretty good and definitely something new but I probably wouldn’t get it again. I also ordered their Oreo milkshake which was pretty delicious, smooth(little to no chunks which was like a pro/con lol), and very sweet. Almost too sweet as I wasn’t able to finish my medium milkshake. Overall ticket came to a bit over $ 10. General Menu Prices FYI; Subs 7″ $ 5.75 10.5″ $ 8.50 14″ $ 11.50 Milkshakes are $ 3,4,5 for S, M, L respectively. You can get a M or L Fountain Drink for $ 1.75 or 2. Their S cup size, other than for milkshakes, is reserved as water cups.

I love the concept, my order has never been incorrect. The bread and meats are fresh and flavorful! I will definitely keep it as one of my fave sandwich shops in Gainesville but warning it’s not cheap. There is no 5 dollar foot long here…

The concept is pretty simple: you fill out a paper slip concerning the general type of sandwich you want, customize it as you desire, then turn it into the staff who puts it all together in short order for you. To drink here, there are typical Coke product fountain drinks and also milkshakes – even a pineapple one that is actually really tasty. There is some seating inside though I suspect most orders are actually to go. The sandwiches – and honestly I’ve only had the Italian ones and kept them rather simple(think traditional Italian-American subs) – are alright: I’ve had better subs certainly but I’d rate these as better than those of Subway or many other places. They also offer gyros, pastrami on rye, meatball subs, and many other common American sandwich options. I like the ability to customize, but really, most places that do short-order sandwiches offer such. The quality isn’t poor, certainly, but I’ve yet to find something that really makes Which Wich totally jump out at me as unique. That said, they are overall better than most of their sandwich arena competition.

For a sandwich shop, Which Wich does stand above its competition in town(except Hogans). The variety of ingredients and spreads that you can choose for your sandwich is what helps it stand out. Despite serving a decent sandwich, there are a few issues. The ordering system feels gimmicky, and really just slows down the checkout process. You shouldn’t have to be asked if it’s your first time coming to a restaurant and have the shops ordering system explained to you(I’m also looking at you Pollo Tropical). Some people might think being able to write down your order while people are trying to butt you in line because they finished writing theirs first is fun, but not me. This is probably something that won’t change, like being shouted at at Moes, because of some marketing genius thinking this helps define their brand. The prices are another issue they really should adjust, or they’re going to put people off their shop(I’m looking at the other reviews here). Their smallest sandwich size is very affordable at around $ 6 depending on what you get. Unless you’re super hungry, I always find that this size is plenty enough to feel full. For the next sizes up there seems to be a little too much of a price jump compared to other sandwich shops. With that being said, I’d much rather pony up the extra $$ and not be subjected to the terrible quality ingredients that Subway will serve to you for a cheaper price. So after all that negative talk, and at the end of the wait for my sandwiches, I have thoroughly enjoyed what they serve. The items that keep me interested in coming are the pesto spread, caramelized onions, and the breakfast sandwiches. I’ve enjoyed their cookies, brownies(fudge like), and the homemade chips(vinegar, salt n’ pepper) on the side. Out of their meat selection, the chicken was what disappointed me as it’s of the sliced variety. For vegetarians, there are plenty of veggie options to put on your sandwich to not have it be a boring, flavorless affair. I haven’t gotten to their bean patty yet, but they have one for a protein. All in all, a solid new addition to Gainesville’s sandwich shops. 3.5 stars.

Expensive sandwiches Hated the grab a bag and pen ordering style Sick girl obviously with the flu or bad cold running the register Cook style is similar to Quiznos but Quiznos quality I think is 50% better I just don’t see going back given to cost given the quantity and quality. You can do better elsewhere!
