If your craving sushi, this is a causal eat out place for quick dinner. compare to the price the portion size is perfect. Its fairly cheap Sushi to go place. I always get rolls or sushi with some fried shrimp stuff. Like they have the combo. One thing i hate though its the minimum $ 10 credit card they apply because sometimes i really want to get food for myself and i have to get alot even if i wasn’t in the mood for it. other than that, the sushi is fresh and good. their homade icetea(?) is good. But, the location is perfect because there’s lot of desert place around there so i can grab things on the way home. Recommended

Ok yes, it’s cheap. But there’s a reason it’s cheap and that reason is that the rolls are not made well. The rice is mushy and tastes overcooked. The fish, though given in decent amounts, was not fresh. We made the mistake of getting uni and that was just plain bad. Uni should be soft and buttery. This was stringy and fishy. I didn’t try any of their tempura or cooked foods, but I don’t think I’ll make the trek out here again to do so.

Lunch specials until 3 pm! Cheap sushi and fast service. I never really ate california rolls until I started coming to Yoyogi. Try it! It won’t disappointment.

Overall I love coming here for sushi. It’s not the best sushi you can get but for the price it’s pretty good. I usually come here for the lunch special since you get 2 rolls for about $ 6 if I’m not mistaken on amount and price. The area is very nice as it is in Gaithersburg specifically in kentlands. They have a good amount of space inside and if it’s a nice day you can also sit outside. The environment here feels great personally and it’s one of those few local spots that’s always great to come to. I do have a complaint and it’s the new servers that I see each time. Of course people come and go but the past two times I’ve came the servers/bussers have spilled food/sauce on me. That maybe me with bad luck during those times. Great place, prices and environment I definitely recommend coming to this place

I like here because the large portion, the decent price. My fave rolls are their california roll(sometimes we get two), salmon avocado roll and white tuna roll! they are not the best sushi in town, but I’ll always come here if I want something cheap and decent.

While this sushi is not out of the park and limited on menu option, it is fresh and really cheap. I mean $ 3.50 a roll, and a decent size roll at that, where else can you get that? Basically if you want to not go broke eating a bunch of no frill basic rolls — spicy tuna, yellow tail, shrimp tempura, salmon, eel — this is your place

Yoyogi Sushi is most definitely a hidden gem in the area. Their Spicy Tuna Crunch Roll and Crispy Rainbow Roll are absolutely delicious! Service was fast and friendly, and everything was reasonably priced.

This is my husband and I’s new favorite sushi place– it’s nothing glamorous but it’s really good, fresh sushi for an amazing amazing deal! Like everyone else says, the rolls are small but they’re so cheap! The hubby and I usually have to get 5 rolls and 2 hand rolls(about $ 30) to consider it a decent meal. Don’t just get the rolls either, the hands rolls are a nice treat too– we usually get the spicy salmon crunch one, which consists of beautiful little red bricks of deliciousness and I’m guessing some crack, which is why it’s so good!

This place is a gem! Tucked away admist the other businesses, you would generally drive past it without noticing, but it’s always bustling! You get the most bang for your buck, and for its quality– definitely deserves 5 stars. I used to come here Regularly but now I live so far it’s so hard to make the drive. But when I am around, this place is a good place to satisfy your sushi cravings. All the sushi here is fresh, and you can tell by the number of sushi chefs during lunch or dinner times, that there are many of them *because it’s always busy* If you live around here or visiting the area, and you are on a budget, I recommend you to stop by here.

Their prices can’t be beat and you get more than your money’s worth. Their rolls may be simple however they do not disappoint. Their California rolls are better than most sushi places and all of their fish is fresh. If you make it in time for their lunch specials then you’re really in for a treat. Even when they’re incredibly busy, you still get friendly and fast service. The restaurant is bigger than surrounding Kentland restaurants and you will find more seating towards the back. Their décor is lovely and it’s always clean. I live 40 minutes away and make the trip up just for Yoyogi Sushi because it’s THAT good. Love this place!

This place makes me incredibly excited! I love being able to eat really good sushi at such a great price. I wish I worked closer so I could order their lunch special. Two select rolls for $ 6 and other rolls in the $ 4-$ 6 range. The fish has always been fresh, and their rolls are more generous than most when it comes to fish. Not a huge fan of the udon, but the sushi makes up for it.

After always seeing this place on Unilocal,it was finally time to try it out! You know a place is really good when your fiancé, who strongly dislikes raw fish, gave the spicy tuna crunch roll a try and REALLY liked it.(Although after the roll, he said, «that’s enough raw fish for the day.») I was very impressed with the sushi! It was very delicious and the flavors really worked well in each roll. And for the price of $ 3.50−4 per roll, you really can’t beat that! He liked it so much he even ordered another California Roll and an eel roll to-go, which we’re going to enjoy with a movie later. :) Free hot green tea, too! Service: 5 out of 5! They were exceptional! They all made sure you felt at home and that all your needs were met and more! This lady even JUMPED at the door just to open it for me. The only con my table had with the meal were the entrees. My fiancé got the crispy combo(beef and chicken) and I got the shrimp and vegetable tempura. I’d say these were about a 3 out of 5. At some parts, the fry on the chicken tempura was over-cooked to the point where the batter was tough to chew. The shrimp could used some more flavoring because the sweet potato tempura really outshined it. The tempura sauce for the shrimp and vegetable tempura didn’t have much flavor either, but the sauce for the crispy combo was VERY delicious with a light sweetness. But it’s a sushi place and they do their sushi right!(Oh! And they’re also situated in an absolutely adorable homey neighborhood! It could have been a scene from Gilmore Girls.)

Ah, the most consistent food figure in my life. How I love you, Yoyogi, despite my inability to gobble down more than 8 pieces these days. Yeah, I’ve had better in terms of the quality of fish in my sushi but things somehow don’t measure up to your first love. The staff here is always friendly; the owner actually takes time to talk to regulars, even when the restaurant is super crowded. I don’t know how they ever did without the expanded dining area! If you’ve ever wanted to get a party plate as a one-man/woman challenge(its actual purpose) or to take to a dinner party, get it from here! You get to pick any six kind of rolls you want and not just your basic Cali roll to fill the plate. Got a plate on Thanksgiving for $ 40 and was grateful that the Pilgrims and Native Americans bonded over sushi all those years ago. Also, in case you didn’t get the memo like me, sushi makes for FANTASTIC date food. There’s nothing more attractive than trying to squirrel away food between your teeth and cheek because you can’t chew quickly enough to keep up with the pace of conversation. No, I’m not joking.

Street parking or you can park in lot of the shopping center. You stand in line to make your order. Food comes out rather quickly! We ordered several rolls! They give generous amounts of fish in all their rolls. Their udon is a bit too salty. Reasonable prices!

Great quality sushi and good portion sizes! The rolls here are large and you definitely get your money’s worth. The rainbow roll is packed full with fresh fish and very little rice! I like eating a fish roll and a tempura roll at the same time so I go back and forth between flavors and textures so I don’t get tired of one: so their rainbow roll and jumbo tempura roll were amazing together! My reason for not giving this place 5 stars is the way it is «ran.» I went with a friend who has been there before so he knew to order first at the counter and then find a table. If I had gone without my friend, I would not have known to do that. So if it’s your first time there, order at the counter first, get a number, and they will bring our food to you. Another thing I found odd was that we were asked if we wanted drinks, and we decided on hot tea. The person who we ordered with at the counter gave us the tea packets but we weren’t given any hot water nor told where we could get some. I ended up asking for cups of hot water when they brought our food out to the table. Other then what I mentioned above, the sushi was delicious and very good quality(and quantity too)! I would definitely be back!

For newbies: Once inside, get in line, grab a menu, order, pay, take your number, then head to the expanded section for additional tables. You’re welcome. Ideal for families, budget-conscious folks, or preteens/teens. Über affordable sushi. ‘Twas fun ordering w/the nephew. We’re open to any rolls since the prices were low. Still baby steps for me but he’s a young veteran so I was in informative hands. I braved the eel and cucumber rolls y’all. Welcoming variety of textures. Snappy cucumbers w/meaty cooked eel flesh. Good coupling. The name spider rolls urked me a tad but phew, it’s just crispy crackly deep-fried batter of shrimp(?) fully done. Amusing crunch-factor. *Gulp* the spicy tuna rolls… I need an adult. Raw ratio per rolls were high. Left most for the nephew. Normally I can do spicy tuna but the pieces were cut thick. Yoyogi, it’s me not you. Eventually I’ll get to that level but not yet. Hooray, the California rolls had imitation crab meat because I’m allergic to real crabs. Awesome. I tore those up. Definitely will experiment more due to the clearance-like guilt-free prices. I realize I can handle rolls w/various textures so next time I’ll ask for those types of creations. Feelin’ braver here. This casual eatery has front and back entrances so park at the rear lot close to Whole Foods. If you’re not familiar w/the area then follow your GPS and look for the rear access.

I absolutely LOVE this place. Hands down, one of the best sushi places in this area! I seriously crave Yoyogi like every week. They have one of the best lunch combo deals/prices, PLUS the sushi is DELICIOUS. It is one of the few places(if not, only) where they give you more of the fish than the rice, which I truly appreciate as a customer :). I always get the California roll & salmon roll lunch combo as well as the salmon avocado roll. The fish is always super super fresh! I usually call my order in ahead of time, but it’s always super packed and busy so whenever they say the wait is «10 minutes» long, they actually mean 20mins+. But its okay, it’s WORTH the wait! Everyone is super friendly and accommodating! I told my coworkers about this place when they were craving sushi, and they fell in love!

Yum yum. I just don’t live in the neighborhood anymore. Great prices & great rolls. Generous with their California rolls. Just know what you want to order. They don’t wait for hmm. Ummm. Do you want anything else, lol.

I looOoOooOove this place. Honestly the best deal for sushi in all of MoCo. Their lunch special is $ 6 for 12 pieces. The sushi itself is incredibly fresh and delicious for the price. I also highly recommend the green mochi ice cream as the perfect desert to top it all off. The service is fast and friendly and seating is abundant. They recently bought out the space next door and was able to triple their seating capacity. Just a tip that they don’t accept credit card orders under $ 10 but they will put the excess money on a store credit slip(which is fine with me because I come here that often). My only complaint about the place is why don’t you open on Tuesdays! So often I have craved this place only to realize it’s Tuesday and is not open. But all in all this is my definite go to place for a quick, fresh, and well priced lunch.
