Just another dadgum Chinese Buffet. Columbus ceases to have any Chinese buffets that are remotely good anymore. I’ve just plain given up hope. Even a lot of wonderful Westside authentic staples have closed their doors, which leaves us to suffer the generic, run of the mill take outs, and the gorge-fest buffet contraptions. Asian Buffet is an A-OK. Is it amazing? No. Is it authentic? Eh… Authentic in their mind’s eye of what they think American’s really want to eat at a Chinese buffet. Americanized versions of everything, and the run of the mill Chinese wholesale order-ins. The place is ragged and dingy. It needs a good cleaning and revitalization. I’m sure in it’s hay-day it was a really nice place, but it’s soon succumbed to what most Chinese Buffets in Ohio succumb to. Just pure cheaping out of the entire experience. Sadly enough, I’d still take this place over Supreme Buffet in Hilliard any day. At least the workers here a little more nicer. This place won’t change your life, but If you need a place to stuff your face and wallow in large amounts of processed food. By God, this is your place.

Terrible food, if you can call it food. Everything is fried or sugary, including the sauces and meats. The only healthy food I could find was cantalope, white rice, and orange slices. There’s a reason it’s so cheap.

As far as Columbus Chinese buffets go(low bar), this is a pretty solid choice. They’ve been consistent on my 3 or 4 visits. I come primarily for the salt & pepper shrimp. The staff is quick on refills and clearing plates. They have a bottle of sriracha at each table.

We have continued to eat here hoping for better food but each time has been a disappointment recently. The price of the food is over priced and the food quality is poor. This has always been mine and my families favorite Chinese restaurant. It seems as after ABC6 has laid off of their previous violations and as well as the health department this place is lagging. Most of the food is cold, the temperatures on the buffet isn’t turned up and when you tell them about it they make poor excuses. They use to always be very busy and the food was fresh and hot. Almost every dish in the«clean» pile was nasty and dirty and had food left in it.

Didn’t really live up to the stars it has received overall. Food was cold, mediocre at best, service was alright, music they played was obnoxious. Everything there tasted like it had peanut butter in it. First and last. Still searching for that«one» Chinese restaurant.

I have been coming to this buffet since it opened. Recently, I had stopped dining in because it’s usually overcrowded with trashy people. and the servers are less than pleasent. They hover over you after they pass you the check and swoop right in the second you leave the table. If I recieve my check and decide to grab another plate, I recieve huffy attitudes snd eyerolls. Not cool. It used to be so friendly. The buffet food has gone downhill a bit in taste, but is not terrible. I actually prefer getting carry out items from the menu. The carry out food is FANTASTIC and with huge portions. It”s extremely fresh and miles above the buffet food. They raised their prices recently for the buffet. It’s silly considering they never change the menu… ever. There are better buffets nearby as far as food quality, but the people you dine with are horrid to be around.

Wrist place ever. The couple next to us had a puppy they brought in and nothing was said to them about removing the puppy. The staff was playing with the puppy while the family got their food. The dog had no service vest or tags. When I said something to the staff they laughed about it then asked to have the puppy remove. Our server was terrible she would bring fresh drinks to the table next to us but never refilled our drinks or brought us fresh ones. When I went to pay the owner couldn’t even take care of me because he couldn’t understand English. Another employee had me explain my issues to her. She Told me every thing was ok and fine this st they was very busy and that’s why we was not attended to right. When I told her there was only 3 tables she refused to listen to me and insisted it only happened because they was busy. But was not. Then when I said something about the dog she said it was ok again and refused to give me any type of discount. Will never ever go back here. Terrible is not even the word for this place.

They were packed for a Sunday afternoon but I will say that the food was hot, fresh, and good. The pans stayed full and the staff was keeping up with all the tables. The environment was really cool. Loved the koi pond under the entryway. Great experience and would love to stop back again.

Was not pleasing, green beans were cold, items that were in a liquid were warm or hot but like mac n cheese was cold of all things.

Most buffet restaurants are a hit or miss. But we have never had a bad experience here. I have introduced others to this buffet and most tell me it is now their favorite. The buffet is always well maintained with someone always cleaning and checking on the food. As far as pizza and smiley potatoes go, it is nice to see something that picky eating kids can recognize and enjoy. You must try their smoked chicken, it is the best I have ever had. You know it is good, when there are many buffets in the Columbus area, and we choose to drive from Dublin to this one.

As far as Chinese buffets go, this one is pretty darn good! The smoked chicken is amazing!

As far as Asian buffets go, this one was fairly typical. There were some areas where they didn’t do quite so well in my opinion, like the beef on a stick. However, they did excel in some other areas like the smoked chicken. Whatever they do to make that smoked chicken taste the way it does should never change. Also, in terms of general ambience, it was a pretty nice place and all of the employees were quite nice.

Asia Buffet is dangerously close to my house, so it’s become a go-to when I want to get out for a quick lunch. It’s pretty standard fare. My favorites are the Crab Rangoon and Mushroom Chicken. The soups are good as is most everything else I’ve tried. I tend to skip over the pizza, smiley potatoes and the like. They do have a menu, but I’ve never seen anyone order from it. The buffet is also available to go. The service has always been great(even by non-buffet standards) and the price is right(under $ 10 with drink). I can’t say it’s the best Chinese food I’ve ever had, like some have said, but it’s definitely not the worst. The person who commented re: the folks refilling the buffet is spot-on, so try not to get in their way. :) All in all, this is a pretty decent spot for a cheap, quick lunch.

My husband was like, «this should be more like buffet run by Asians, amIright.» He was right. The pizza and Mac & cheese were interesting aspects of this Asian buffet. I felt pretty gross after we left. It was also kind of run down and dirty where they sat us… but we do have a child so I guess we should just give up on hoping for nice things in life from now on.

The times I’ve been here it has been a fairly good experience all in all. The staff is polite and the food is decent. Though they have the same issue that far too many Chinese buffets have these days. Instead of a more full variety of actually Asian dishes, they have things like chicken wings, pizza, and mashed potatoes. That isn’t anyone’s idea of Chinese food, but everyone seems to do it. Just a let down when all that space could be used for better things. All in all its not a bad spot for the price.

I hate and I like buffets. Back in my college days I loved them and I came here a few times but it was pricier than the cheap ones. Now it is cheaper than the other chinese buffets around this area. I made my way back to see how it is. Refills service on the buffet was pretty good as most of the stuff I grabbed was hot, not just warm. I went right at 12 on a Sunday. The choices are not bad as I like their peanut chicken entrée(a little dry but tasty), my wife likes their black pepper chicken, and they have fried corn nuggets. The low mein is also decent. They have plenty of American food options with a decent number of seafood as well. They have fish even though it looks a bit dried out. It is a buffet, you can’t expect tender juiciness. All in all, this buffet works for those once every 4 – 6 month food gluttony splurges. They don’t have Hibachi, but they are a few dollars cheaper as well.

The food was pretty good, seemed fresh and most was still hot since we came on a busy Saturday afternoon at lunch time. But most of the waitresses and buffet staff were really unpleasant. We asked our waitress if we could move to a booth and she actually yelled at us to ask the manager. Then going through the buffet, the people who were refilling the food on the buffet were super pushy and cut you off and would reach over top of you with flaming hot food to refill items. No «excuse me», no «get out of my way», nothing. And the bathroom was a disaster. Paper towels and toilet paper all over the floor, the toilets didn’t flush properly resulting in the previous occupants«leftovers», and the handicap stall was duct taped shut. Maybe I have too high of expectations for a Chinese Buffet on the West side? Maybe it’s not so bad when it’s not so busy? But that’s when you’re supposed to go to a buffet so the food is hot and fresh!

I give asian buffet an average rating, az not many buffets can stand, from cold food, under cooked food, over cooked food, to not having a vast selection. These are common problems with many buffets, and i have encountered three of them at asian buffet. I will let you mind wonder to figure out what three. For the longest i came here a lot, until they closed their doors twice in a row for the same problem(not saying), since i have returned one time, and see why i dont visit here alot. Buffets seem to have a bunch of food you find ‘ok’, and want to get stuffed! Is there anything spectacular about asian buffet? Nope not in my book, just another buffet in columbus.

I go to buffets all the time, and even have a ranking of my top 10… this is probably the best Asian buffet in the city(other than China Dynasty… but they only have buffets on Sunday, so it doesn’t count). It was clean, the workers were friendly, and the vegetables tasted fresher than most buffets. I like their crab rangoon, smoked chicken, sauteed green beans, and peanut chicken.
