Ordered Asada Fries (AGAIN) for the fam… again Amazing and the customer service was alot friendlier this visit!

A friend picked us up dinner from here the other night!!! Very very very good!

I don’t understand how your going to interrupt and correct your guests. Such horrible manners and work skills. Food was not good either and facility was dirty. We will absolutely never go back and its sad that was our first time there. Bad attitudes loose customers. I’m surprised that place is still open. If your looking for great mexican food go to El rodeo.

This is a great local restaurant! They have a great staff and have a great selection of meal options. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant experience in the area.

Amazing breakfast burritos! I love eating at Taco Real the service is always fantastic too. I’d especially like to acknowledge the girl at the counter. She’s such a friendly outgoing person. If you want delicious authentic Mexican food this is the place to go.

I don’t think I’ve had a bad dish here. The wait can be a little long at times but it’s worth it. Just call ahead and it won’t be a problem. Good price, friendly service, yummy food!

We came in on a Sunday for lunch for the first time. We loved it! The service was friendly, and the food was great! The salsa lacked a little heat, but they have hot sauce on the table.
We’ll be back for sure!

After attempting to try lunch somewhere else (Zacatecas on Twin Cities Rd) and waiting about an hour for food we couldn’t even try due to setting out for so long, my daughter & I decided to go somewhere we knew was fast & delicious. This place is great, staff is friendly, food is good every time. The shredded beef taquito D are tasty, however we like to order plain with the salsa, sour cream and lettuce on the side (otherwise they put it all on top & they get soggy.) (Not complaining, just a heads up) I tried the chili rellano for the first time today, pretty good — probably not my best, def not the worst by any means. They have a great taco salad & burritos. We’ll be back for sure– in a nutshell, quick, inexpensive, not fancy good food. Recommend giving it a shot!

I was hoping to have my mind blown but I was let down. First of all we WAITED forever!!! I thought it was going to be worth the wait but once we got the food it was very bland. I ordered carne asada tacos that tasted like nothing. A little seasoning on the meat would go a long way. My husband was very impressed with his burrito either, he stated it was bland as well.

Great authentic Mexican food by what seems to me owned and operated by a very hard working American family. They have these amazing blended soft drinks that you must try.

The young lady who attended us was extremely pleasant and attentive.
My hubby and I usually stay away from Mexican restaurants bc I cook it at home.
Gave this place a try and the food was bland. I had the chorizo and egg plate. The beans lacked salt, the rice was ok.
The hubby ordered the Huevos Rancheros and he wasn’t happy.
Great place for a quick bite as the food is prepped quickly. However, it did lack the flavors of Mexican food.

Been coming here for a few years. never had a bad experience. We usually order ala carte carnitas, rice and beans. Also have had carnitas tacos and burritos. best in town by far. everything always fresh, which I cannot say for the few other popular Mexican restaurants in town I’ve had. Definitely my go to Mexican food in town.

I’ve lived in Galt almost all my life and recently moved back again and I can honestly say this is my favorite Mexican eatery in Galt! They are inexpensive and their food is delicious. My favorite is the Crispy grilled chicken tacos sooo good! And their beans and rice taste very authentic.

Really considered giving this a place a one star, but bumped it up to two because the lady that helped us was super friendly, and stopped by a few times while we were eating to ask if everything was ok and if we needed anything. The food however, can’t say much of anything nice about it. It wasn’t horrible, just incredibly bland. Even their salsa, which both the red and green were quite decent, couldn’t save it. This place has really high reviews, so maybe it was an off night. Although an hour after eating here the 3 of us that went had extremely unhappy stomachs. For that fact alone, despite the other good reviews, I won’t be returning here.

Although small, Taco Real is mighty good! Love their salsa! We were there about 5 pm, had carnitas tacos, chile rellenos and chorizo and eggs. Everything was very good – beans were amazing. No beer or wine available but lots of Mexican soft drinks besides the usual American sodas, ice tea and bottled water. Menu is large and very reasonable. Will definitely stop in again the next time we’re through area.

Not much to say. Staff was pretty okay for a mexican dine in restaurant. The chips were stale.
I ordered a carne asada torta and it was below mediocre. But I was really hungry and on my lunch break so I finished it.
Within an hour I was puking and had to be sent home sick. I will not come back here again. Ever. Never Ever.

It really depends what time of day you go. I went for dinner twice and had the crispy tacos. It was literally AMAZING. The best crispy tacos you can find anywhere nearby. I went back for lunch a few days later with a friend (after my insisting that they try the crispy taco). Butttt… IT WAS NOT THE SAME TACO. The shell wasn’t the same crispiness. The meat wasn’t as good. It was really greasy and didn’t have the chopped up tomato salsa on top. Beyond disappointed — Go for DINNER not lunch.

Great menudo, Saturday and Sunday, I like to go in for lunch and try something different each time never disapointed

Unilocal App lead me to Galt’s finest! Stopped in for a breakfast burrito and was not disappointed. It is definitely on the heavier side of the burrito scale but its really good. The burrito was $ 3.99 and came out relatively quickly. I would definitely come back for a lunch/​dinner, and I want to try their Carne Asada french fries or a California burrito.
I would come back, I just don’t make it out to Galt much.

Muey bien! The Steak Fajita was simply awesome! The meat was tender with lots of onions and green peppers.
I am not a big bean eater but the beans were so great I ate all of them!
The corn tortillas were steaming hot and fresh!
I am giving them 4 stars instead of 5 as their salsa just did not do it for me!
All and all, I shall return!
