Wife and I had a couple massage and the entire spa experience was wonderful! Not inexpensive but worth it! Stayed two nights in a single king and it was nice and comfortable! It’s not inexpensive but it’s a beautiful and historic facility! The Sunday brunch is something to experience and I recommend coming there hungry! Again nothing’s cheap but it’s well done! Room was a little small but it was comfortable! I recommend this for a romantic getaway with your favorite person!

Do not miss out on a massage from Brandon if you are in town! My husband and I visited during thanksgiving week and booked 80 min couple massage as a romantic day getaway during the week. From entrance to exit the experience was ideal. I have been to dozens of spas across America including pebble beach and this spa ranks well. For a small town I was overly impressed with the customer service and small touches that make an experience special. Every employee at the spa(and even at parking) was friendly and helpful. We had champagne before and after with a hint of lavender syrup which was divine(& I don’t even like champagne usually). Warm neck wraps are an added bonus. Relaxation room is on point with a cool temperature, blankets, and curtains for privacy. It’s not a reading room so if you want to read bring your own book which I always do lol. Pauline was my husbands masseuse and he loved her as well. You never know how a masseuse will be and I could not have asked for anything different from Brandon. I prefer firm to heavy pressure but got medium today to relax. It was ridiculously perfect. He got all the knots in my SI joint out which rarely happens for me. I wish I lived here so I could be his regular weekly appointment. I’m not kidding request him and you will be wowed. The locker rooms have a steam room(not coed) just FYI. I prefer a relaxation room anyway but my husband enjoyed the men’s steam room. We will definitely be back as soon as we can! Perhaps just a couples getaway next time. I just was so impressed with this place, I highly recommend dropping in! Thank you Brandon and Pauline! It was the highlight of our week in Galveston!

The spa was nicer than many hotel spas. The service was excellent from the moment I walked in. I was running right on time for my service rather than 30 minutes early as they suggested. No problem they told me to relax and change into my robe and have some champagne and they would move my service out 30 minutes so I would have plenty of time and not have to rush. Nice. The relaxation lounge is very nice, I wish there were a few more reading materials in there though and perhaps some granola or something. They offered complimentary champagne before and after my service, which was a nice luxurious touch. They had two kinds of flavored waters and cucumber slices for your eyes and warm neck pillows for your neck while you relaxed in the relaxation lounge before and after your service. The steam room was nice as well, it’s located inside the ladies locker room. My massage itself was good enough, but not amazing. My therapist was very kind and communicated well throughout though. I would recommend booking your service in advance, but when at the Galvez or in Galveston, do not miss a trip to this spa. I hope to return again some day.

I felt like a princess!!! The spa did the whole wedding party’s hair and make-up!!! They also did about all of my families hair and make-up too!!! They were so good with the flower girls and made everyone feel special! So impressed, we had champagne and catered food, so glamorous, I will never forget it!!! Kelly did my hair and makeup and did such a amazing job, it even stood up to the Galveston humidity!!!

Outstanding service. I brought my mom with me for a mother’s days treat. She is suffering from a terminal brain disease called«pick’s» disease, which is an early onset form of Alzheimer’s dementia, which is ultimately fatal. I was very nervous to bring my mom to a spa, she struggles with balance and being able to communicate effectively. But I wanted these last few mother’s days to be special. I opted for the Oasis Retreat, which included lunch in the meditation garden, and four hours of pampering. They cared for my disabled mother with such great respect, I am forever grateful. They treated her as if she was their own mother. I will always remember the time we spent together, and the memories we made here. I can only hope to bring her back next year.

Great massage, facial was just ok. The relaxation room was awesome and the staff in there made sure my drink was refilled. Check-out staff must have been new because she wasn’t very professional. Other than that, I will be back for another experience.

OMG! WHERE do I start??? Is it with the relaxation room where they give you lavender infused champagne and drape your neck in a warm neck wrap while cuddled in a soft blanket? Or the treatment rooms that are nice and quiet? Or the locker room/shower facility that has everything you need? Or the comfy robes? Or the friendly ladies at the reception area that now know and remember my name? This place has it ALL! It’s a regular stop for me and my girlfriends when they come to visit. AND… to top it off, when you get spa treatments, you get to use the pool for the rest of the day, which is GORGEOUS!

Nothing but great things to say about this place. Top-notch attention to detail and courtesy every step of the way. I’m almost grateful I don’t live closer, otherwise I could see me spending way too much time here(if that’s possible).

Came here with my husband for a birthday couples massage and fell in love. The spa itself is absolutely gorgeous. When you arrive, you change into a robe and go to their relaxation lounge. They set you up with a hot towel for your neck and hand you a glass of lavendar champage. We sat and relaxed in this environment for about 30 minutes before our massage and already felt incredibly relaxed. Then comes to massage, which literally was one of the best massages either one of us has gotten. Afterwards, we used the sauna and then relaxed by the pool. Service was impeccable and amazing ambience. Would highly recommend this place for a special occasion. You truly leaving feeling wonderful. Additionally, they have complimentary valet! Only con is that it’s a bit on the pricier side.

The spa is amazing and this is a great place to get a haircut and highlights. Nicole is a wonderful stylist and totally transformed my hair. It was a hot mess after getting highlights done somewhere else, and she really took the time to make me beautiful! I recommend coming early and enjoying the relaxation room prior to your appointment. They have complimentary champagne and the relaxation room is a beautiful place to unwind. The service is really incredible here.

I wish I could give them more than 2 stars as the place is gorgeous. I planned a last minute spring break trip with my daughter. As soon as we arrived, we went to the spa to see about getting pedicures and scheduling massages for the next day. Nothing for that day, the next day there were scattered appointments, nothing after early afternoon. They even checked on the day we were leaving, nothing in the morning, only afternoon when we would be gone. We had a $ 400 gift card to spend and left unable to use it. They have signs everywhere advertising the spa… with the key word«appointment». It appears you have to make an appointment way ahead of time to get anything. I also got the impression that they use contract employees when they have the appointments. Not at all what I was expecting for a «resort» spa. Luckily I ended up using the gift card to pay for our room. Won’t be going back. UPDATE: Due to a TROLL Unilocaler sending me a nasty message regarding my review, I’m going to make something clear. I was unable to use the gift card at the SPA. Thanks JJ.

UPDATE: returned today [april 14th] for hair cut with Jessica. i went from mid-length long layers to a very short layered bob. was skeptical because i didnt know her skill set — let me say, jessica IS scissor queen. she is precise, detailed and very friendly. LOVE my short & sassy cut. ive found my hairstylist! — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — - oooh my… one word… AWWWW! spa is really nice, quiet, calming i arrived 30 min ahead of appt to detox in steam room and then relax in candle lit lounge with cucumbers on my eyes, a glass of lavender ionic water, warm neck wrap, and white cliff champagne that has a dollup of lavender syrup in it — dozed for a bit. kelly [the aesthtician] arrived to take me to my «personal best» facial w/added vitamins C/K and a diamond tip microdermabrasion [product brand used«Priori”] my skin texture looked so much better afterwards… and more hydrated & exfoliated. really liked it. and, kelly gave me samples of the product too. appreciated that. [*side notes – they add 18% gratuity to total AND sunday thru thursday ~~if you have an island address, you get 20% off*] will most def return. happy ME day!
