This place is out of business. The phone number is disconnected, and their location at Waugh Chapel mall is empty. Wish someone had told me so I could have saved the trip.

This place used to be really good and reliable but recently I’ve had some things framed there and I will absolutely never go back. The work thus far hasn’t been of particularly bad quality but by no means is good enough to compensate for the ridiculously poor timing of getting the work back to you. I now am averaging about 6 weeks LONGER than their already long estimate of having 3 pieces framed. Totally unacceptable. Excuse after excuse. So en so has been in the hospital. So en so didn’t come in. I am not your family or your friend. I do not care what the excuse is. I am your customer and I want my blankety blank piece of art back. Ridiculous

Won’t be going back. I was initially a bit concerned about the seeming lack of professionalism in the store — it smells like cigarette smoke when you walk in, the person who helped me complained about their boss, and we had to move soda bottles to put my piece down on the desk. I chocked it up to recently moving and went ahead. I called about a week after the piece was due to be finished and was informed(non-apologetically) that it wasn’t done yet. I asked the person to give me an idea of when it might be done, and was told«soon.» She seemed annoyed that I wanted a less-vague response, but begrudgingly gave me a date. It wasn’t done by then, but a week later(so two weeks late). When I went to pick it up, it was clear they hadn’t checked the quality of the framing as it did not lay flat on the table when I put it down. The salesperson tried to tell me that it was because of the hardware on the back, which it was not — the frame was warped. Admittedly not their fault, although the fact that it wasn’t checked before they tried to hand it off to me was frustrating(especially as it could have saved me a trip to the store). There was no apology, in fact she tried to convince me to take it home and offered to knock $ 50 off the bill. I was taken aback that they’d try to send me home with a frame that wouldn’t even sit on the wall flat and requested that they make it right. I got a phone call the next day and was told that they were ordering the frame and would do their best to get it done by the end of the following week. Two weeks later, I got an email that the piece was done. It was done correctly this time. They charged me the full price and when I said that I thought a discount was in order, the piece having been in the shop for two months and getting messed up once. After some hemming and hawing, the person who I assume to be the owner or manager gave me a measly 10% off. She gave me a very insincere apology, kind of as an aside, and I left. Neither of the two people working in the shop seemed the least bit concerned that I was unsatisfied with my experience. Take your framing projects to a more professional place.

This is a great frame shop with a knowledgable and talented staff. Whether you’re looking for custom frames or ready-made frames with custom matting, this is a great option. I recently came into the store and needed a few items matted. I mentioned that I needed the order relatively quickly and the staff got right to it. Within a few hours, I was notified by email that the work had been completed(the timeline is much longer with custom frames). The store has convenient hours for professionals(open until 8) and a very large selection. I’ll be a patron at this store for years to come!

Frames Galore saved the day. We had a short notice presentation at work and needed a custom mat and frame to fit two 8×10 photos and several military coins lining both sides. I talked to Angie on the phone to make sure they could do it and then headed right over. She laid out several frame and mat combos and examples for me. I ended up choosing a black frame with a dark blue mat that was inexpensive yet professional looking. I paid up front, ordered a name plate from Miranti on Rt 175 and brought that back so Angie could have it done in less than 36 hours. The only thing I didn’t care for was that the back of the store smelled like cigarette smoke but that didn’t hinder any of the work that was done. Will definitely come back the next time we have a frame order.

I like this place. I’ve had two jobs done here. The first was what impressed me the most. When I moved to Maryland, the movers severely damaged all of my Koa wood frames that I had custom made in Hawai’i. And in case you didn’t know, Koa is a slow growing and expensive wood native to Hawai’i. That meant I couldn’t get it readily replaced here. Frames Galore wound up working with the shop in Hawai’i that did the original frames. They sent the measurements to Hawai’i and the store in Hawai’i shipped the precut sticks to Frames Galore. Frames Galore did all the labor and replaced glass in each frame. They used a better quality glass while they were at it! In the end, they look just like the originals. Maybe even slightly better thanks to the new glass. The grain is slightly different, but that’s the nature of Koa. My point is, their work was fantastic and their customer service was truly over the top.
