Best nuoc mia ever! Super delicious! The addition of kumquat makes it taste even better. Will be coming back again!

This is my go to spot for nc mía(raw sugar-cane drink) after my sister introduced me to this place. I usually go here to pick a cup up for my grandmother whenever she’s craving thus drink. Service: It is great as always. Relatively quick. Every time I come here, the person that rings me up are always friendly and helpful. Price: A little overpriced which is why I’d rank this place 4 stars but I’d still get it here(definitely worth the price when you request little to no ice so it’ll be a hit or miss). Taste: This is probably the one drink you can’t mess up lol. It’s nice and refreshing during the warm summer days or any day really when you want natural and refreshing sweetness filled in a cup, then I’d say drop by here to pick a cup up. P. s. They do provide other drinks here and random snacks that other places sell out front as well but let’s be real, we all know what I’m really at this spot for lol.

Gotta love the mom n pop shops. Super upscale relative to their hole in the wall counterparts in the area. Good price, great service, and yummy nuoc mia– what more can you ask for

Yes, the nuoc Mia(sugar cane) drink here is bomb. And the cups are enormous… Great deal for fresh nuoc mia($ 5.50). I love that I can taste the kumquat in there… Gives it some fragrance and acidity to balance the sweetness. I like to let me ice melt so that it’s not so sweet. If you want fresh authentic nuoc mia… This is where u go… I tried a bakery and Lee’s and they don’t come close to this one.

It’s expensive for a large cup of Nuoc Mia(sugar cane juice) here but it’s SOWORTHIT. By far my ONLY place I will go to get it! $ 5.50? For a large cup. and if you ask for no ice, they only fill the cup half way!

Nuoc Mia Vien Tay includes kumquats into their nuoc mia. The citrus addition balances out the super sugary taste of the nuoc mia and makes for a perfect combination. The only thing I wish they did was offer a half gallon size to take home lollls! When I crave for something, i want a loooot of it. it’s more convenient if I can have one huge container instead of 2 or 3 large size cups of it.

My hand down must go to spot while in town. Best nuoc mia I’ve had, anywhere! The addition of kumquat gives an aromatic hint of citrus without overpowering the sugarcane. So refreshing and good for you too!

Been eyeballing this place for awhile and since my BF and I had a couple minutes to spare… we decided to finally give it a try. They have little snacks that they sell in here as well. Your choice of small(8 oz), medium(12 oz), or large(16 oz). We ended up getting the large since we were sharing and I knowing how fast my BF always drinks these things… if I wanted more than a couple sips, I better get the largest size possible. It as a little on the sweeter side to me. Couldn’t really taste the kumquat juice either. Lots of ice, but that’s just how its always been done even when I use to sell them for my grandpa during the carnivals. This drink isn’t meant to be drunken fast? Cup makes it hard for the ice to melt, but that means your drink stays cold for a long time! Service was quick. Drink was done before I was able to sit down and put my change away!

possibly some of the best nuoc mia you can get on this side of the world. sometimes i wish they served them in baggies like in the homeland, but I cannot complain with styrofoam cups. This place is a staple for a refreshing but yummy drink on a hot day~

I love sugar cane juice aka nuoc mia. I’ve been coming here for quite a while and everytime its delicious. On this particular day my friend and I were looking for«Got Tea» which was supposed to be really really close by. Eventually we read that it was no longer in existence(curses). So we just ended up getting nuoc mia here instead to quench our thirst. I found out I should actually get a bit more ice than I did. I asked them for easy ice which made the drink a lot sweeter than I particularly like. I also forgot to tell them to add a bit of tangerine juice into the drink which would have given it an extra aroma. Still, the drink came out perfect on this hot day. I drink most of it while walking back to my car… yeah I parked far(don’t know why). Overall the place is delicious and its top 3 in my book of sugarcane juice. The place is really clean which I’m always surprise to see since the complex itself is not that clean to begin with. PS I think its cash only

Terrible service. One of my favorite to go to place to buy sugar cane juice. Part of their ingredients include kumquat and supposedly today my cup tasted extremely sour. I had asked them to replace mine only because it tasted badly. I drink sugarcane juice pretty frequently and especially theirs. Today was definitely not the right taste. Owner stated that it’s probably the kumquat that made it sour, their sugarcane is fresh and extra sweet today. I asked for her to replace my cup without the kumquat if the kumquat is the issue. She said she cannot do that because that pressuring her to toss my cup away. Extremely bad service compensate only A CUP to make a customer happy, they couldn’t do. ~angry customer right now~

More expensive compared to other places($ 3 small, $ 4.25 medium, $ 5.50 large), but the sugar cane drinks here are good — more potent :). Ask for it to be made without kumquat so you can taste more of the cane’s natural sweetness(that kumquat adds a sour taste, literally: x).

For the first time in forever There’ll be sugar cane, there“ll be ice For the first time in forever I“ll be drinking through the night Dont know if Im pleased But somewhere in between Cuz for the first time in forever I am alone on this drink. I am in trouble. Big trouble. I hate to say it but… I dont know what the big deal is about this place. But its not really Unilocal fault. I just did not enjoy this as much as I hoped for. This sugar cane juice is an aquired taste. For someone like me, who has never had an ounce of this magical potion and who is s coffee freak it tasted like dirt, dirt, dirt, and kalamansi and sweetness over ice. At first I’ll be honest, I didnt like it. But I kept taking sips. By the 5th sip it tasted better. But not like oh my gawd better. Service was okay. The GPS got me lost and took me to Fountain Valley. This place is located less than a mile past the 22. In the plaza next to Banh Mi Cali/Sbucks on the same side of street. Service was okay. The interior is more trendy than anything. I walked in, then out to double check I was in the right shop. I bought 2. One for me and my new co worker, paid $ 6.00 for both. This sugar cane stuff was just alright. Ill stick to coffee. Review #503

I don’t care for nuoc mia but it was a hot day and I needed something. Well, I ended up getting the mango smoothie and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked this. As they were making it, I could see that it wasn’t just a fruit concentrate but that they added fresh fruit into it. The smoothie had just enough ice and was the perfect thick consistency I like. Cash only.

What Vietnamese person hasn’t been here for some sugar cane drink! It’s about 4 dollars for a medium sized drink. It’s a small spot that’s been here forever. The sugarcane is mixed with kumquat juice to give it more of a citrus taste. It goes together perfectly. In 20 years this place will still be here serving the same great drink us Vietnamese folks have grown to love. Recommendation: Sugar cane drink

As a kid, I grew up chewing fresh sugar cane sticks hacked from my dad’s random garden projects in my parents backyard. I went over recently and he had planted some again but as an adult I no longer had the time to sit there and enjoy gnawing the juice from the fibrous stalks. The stalks piled up and he ended up throwing them away. What a shame:( I’m glad that I discovered Nuoc Mia Vien Tay. Vietnamese people must also enjoy sugar cane stalks. Cool to know we share that culturally. Here you can see little old men feeding the chopped up stalks through a machine that presses out the juice. I can imagine the nostalgia they must have for treats from their childhood and homeland. I’m glad they began this unique business to share it with us all. I’m amazed that the sugar cane juice is available in the XL size. I can’t imagine the amount of sugar in that thing! For those concerned about the exorbitant amount of ice that is in the drinks I think the ice is necessary to cut down on the concentrated sugar cane«juice». I just think of myself as a child and wonder how many stalks I would have to gnaw on to constitute an XL juice. I think mother nature makes things difficult for us to consume for a reason. She wants to limit our intake of things that we shouldn’t have too much of. The small size was perfectly satisfying for me. I’m still amazed that this cup contains so much juice. I swirl the liquid contents around to try and melt the ice and dilute the tasty solution. The shop has added kumquat juice into the mix and so it helps cut the sugaryness and adds an elegantly florally citrus taste to the surprisingly creamy juice. Kumquats were also a treat to eat as a kid. I’m still surprised to see them grown ornamentally and people not knowing that they are edible little morsels of citrusy sweetness. Fresh pressed sugar cane juice mixed with kumquat is a delightfully refreshing concoction. It’s sugary sweet like a soda pop but you feel slightly less guilty about enjoying one.

Best place in OC for Nuoc Mia hands down! I hate to write reviews with no photos but since I just wrote a review on Nuoc Mia and mentioned that there was another place that would be my first choice, I wasn’t sure what the name was but I found it thanks to Unilocal!Gotta love Unilocal!!! Anyways, there’s a ton of photos here but next time I’ll take a photo when I go back to this place. They really stepped up from many years ago. They remodeled the entire place and looks brand spanking new, I was so impressed. Not much to write because basically this is all that this place is known for. Only thing is that they fill the cup with a ton of ice so you barely get any Nuoc Mia but they make the best so that is why in my other review I said that I just get the large size and just sip it through out the day since it comes in a foam cup and it has large ice cubes so the ice won’t melt away very fast which is a huge plus. I sometimes buy mines early in the day and at night my drink is still cold! So refreshing! Large cup is $ 5. Van’s bakery is in the same plaza. Just letting ya’ll know! :)
