Ordered to go so I have no restaurant info Food: machaca salad & chicken fajitas. Good sized portions! Three adults shared these two dishes and had plenty. Both meals were quite good. The rice was too salty for my taste. Other than that, 2 thumbs up. Service: order was ready on time, hot and fresh. Price: $$. Well worth the money. I will be back to dine in and test out some more meals. :-)

Nice light dish. No too many of these you can find on the menu. This place always does the beef and chicken cocido well.

I love this place!!! It’s been around forever!!! The small to go one only takes cash!!! But the restaurant which is located right next door, takes everything!!! I always get the machaca burrito. Their salsa is soooo good. Just go. You won’t be disappointed.

Consistent quality and delicious food! They used to have a location on Artesia Boulevard that we frequented. Since that closed, the Redondo Beach location is the only one, but they have both a takeout counter and a sit-down restaurant next to each other. My wife and I are creatures of habit, so she always wants chicken tacos, and I order Monterrey chicken, which is a white meat chicken fillet with green sauce and cheese. Our go-to Mexican restaurant in the South Bay.

Good american mexican food with good service, not great. It is a good spot when you want simple mexican food. Wet burrito was flavorful and didn’t skimp on the cheese, sour cream, and guacamole. They say the guacamole isnfresh but it tasted a little old, not as if they just made it that same day. It also had a similar texture to what I can buy in the grocery stores but it did have good flavor. No complaints but it didn’t wow me.

My absolute favorite place for Mexican food. I have been a fan of Burnt Tortilla since it was located on Artesia Blvd. It was my grandpa’s go-to spot for our lunch dates when I was a cashier at the 99 Ranch Market. That was over 20 years ago. I’m happy to report that the quality is still the same. I like that the chips are super-thin, and the salsa is very watery. When I buy bags of chips to take home, they don’t get stale fast. My favorite thing is the wet ground beef burrito. It’s not grisly or oily. The chicken is lean, steak in the fajitas quality. The beans are creamy, rice fluffy. The prices are very reasonable, and I say that from the perspective of being a San Diego transplant. SD is more touristy, and the prices out here reflect that. I have yet to find a Mexican spot in North County that rivals the quality and prices of this place. Oh, how I wish Burnt Tortilla would come down here! Pros: — Fairly large, with a sports bar — Quality ingredients Cons: — Small parking lot and tight spaces — Gardena um. Lacks ambience

Ok there are a lot of cross-reviews on this page. This address is for the to-go storefront next to the sit-down restaurant. The food is delicious. For some reason the website is totally worthless. No info on hours or menu. See attached pics for take out menu. Prices are as of May 1, 2016. I suggest you call ahead so you don’t wait 20 minutes for your food. Also, CASHONLY.

FINALLY got around to trying this restaurant and I will be coming back for sure! Here on a Saturday evening around 7pm, there was no wait, sat in the wing where the bar is, and it’s very spacious. Waiter came by right away to take our drink order. Ordered, and the food came out fairly quickly and was fantastic! Btw, I think we lucked out because our complimentary chips came with a larger bowl of salsa than our neighboring diners – which was great because the salsa is delicious! Would try to go here during a big game or for happy hour.

Great margaritas and great food. I got the asada chimichanga with green sauce and was not disappointed. The salsa has a lot of flavor and the chips the perfect amount of salt.

Yummm!!! We drove by this place couple of times and it’s always crowded! Finally, we tried this Mexican place and it was not disappointing. Happy hour margaritas for $ 5! Can’t complain there. We ordered the chicken nachos for $ 8, also on the happy hour menu. Do try the chicken nachos! They use shredded chicken. The shredded chicken was delicious. I do agree that this place is on the pricier side but I do believe their ingredients are just better.

One of the best Mexican spots I’ve ever been to. The restaurant is huge and staff is great. A bit on the pricey side but well worth it. I got the wet carne asada burrito. The red sauce is Amazing!

Been wanting to come here for the longest, but today was the day. Everything was so good! Service was good. Soon as your seated your get chips and salsa before u get comfortable in the seat. Food was great. Can’t wait to come back and try something else.

This is the first time I’ve had a salsa that is so weak. Their salsa reminds of a tomato sauce that you will use for your pasta. I started looking for a hot sauce to spice it up. Another thing that I didn’t like was the women’s restroom. As soon as you walk in the horrible smell hits you. I have no idea where it’s coming from. It’s clean but the smell is so awful. Gross! Please spray some lysol or put some air freshner or light up a some scented candle.

Their rice is not dry The beans are not dry because usually those are the dry the most at most mexican restraunt and of course the alcohol was freaking awsome you gotta give them a good review for that. we didn’t have to wait long and it is a friendly environment. .it’s spacious with vibrant colors. it’s a whimsical spot. per Foxy

Decided to come here based on Unilocal reviews because we were craving Mexican. Plenty of parking space in the back. We were seated immediately near the bar area. They do have TV to watch sports. Their chips and salsa were very good. I ordered the ground beef wet burrito and my boyfriend ordered the asada plate. Ground beef and potato wet burrito — 5stars!!! So amazing and comforting! Especially if you like cheese like I do! Perfectly seasoned and came with guacamole and sour cream. Asada plate — 3 stars! Came with tortilla, rice, guac, sour cream, pico de gallo, beans. It was flavorful and good but nothing memorable. The wet burrito is a must! Would come back and order this! Took one star off for sticky table.

This review is for the restaurant. I came in set at the bar and was immediately greeted by the bartender and was being served chips and salsa at the same time by the food runner I guess lol. Happy Hour looked decent but I wanted to try the regular menu. I ordered a beans rice and cheese wet burrito with green chilli. The burrito was huge. My best friend ordered the Mexican bean dip on the happy hour menu and a chicken burrito. To our discovery we had enough food to feed 4 – 6 people. The food came out blazing hot and I loved that. The bar area wasn’t too full but it had a great ambience as well as a TV. I ordered a $ 5 margarita on happy hour boy oh boy it was a stiff margarita it was delicious and so stiff I only ordered one drink. I sipped it the entire time I was there. I’m anxious to go back and try other food items. I will be back sooner than later.

We were immediately greeted by very friendly staff and sat down very quickly. 5 stars for that! Food was delicious! Chunky beef enchilada, chicken & green chili enchilada all get a thumbs up! The chili verde burrito is HUGE! Can easily be shared by 2 people. The chips and salsa are good but the salsa was waaaay too spicy. I would recommend that they maybe offer a spicy and a mild. The guacamole was fresh, chunky and GOOD. The fish tacos– not that great. It was just a frozen fish stick with all the condiments on the plate. Kind of like a build your own fish taco.

I ordered the green chili burrito wet with no rice. I enjoyed it. I always judge a Mexican restaurant by the refried beans and their tortilla chips. Both were good. The pork in the burrito was tender, bite size pieces smothered in green chili sauce. I would have enjoyed a little more flavor in the sauce. So 3 stars for the burrito. The service was good. No one came to refill my glass of water. So 3 stars for service. I may come back to try something else like the tacos or enchiladas.
