Great study spot in Torrance! If you’re looking for a late night study spot with some good drinks, dessert and ample seating, this place is it! There is no fighting over seats here!(this place also has outlets, Just gotta find them and sit next to them.) They have a TV too in case you want to watch the game. Honey bread topped with walnuts and bananas, drizzled with caramel– delicious, especially when it’s warm! They have everything here, sandwiches, macarons, ice cream, coffee, smoothies… Etc. Parking: parking lot in front. Watch for the time-limited spots though! Shout out to my brother in Christ, Homer, who graciously blessed us by picking up the bill. So sweet! Staff is nice and helpful!

Decided to drive out here to study since my boyfriend worked in the area(less distractions when idk where I am). Café bene is a cute little café that seems small on the outside, but it’s actually really big. They have lots of outlets for all those who need to charge their items and free wifi(but only for a couple of hours)! And the décor is beautiful(considering I love all things reclaimed wood lol). I ended up ordering an affogato with sea salt caramel gelato($ 6 win tax) and love it! It’s slightly a bit too sweet, but the espresso shot balances out the gelato. If I’m ever in the area again to study, this will definitely be my go-to spot. Plus, lots of free parking!

This place is pretty basic. I personally think that this place is way too overpriced and all the desserts look and taste pretty mediocre. I only come here if I need to meet up/chill with friends and study since there is a lot of open wooden space but the thing is that you have to buy something in order to retrieve the wifi password. I would typically buy something really cheap like tea in order to get the wifi password on your receipt. If you are not down to spend money for wifi, then I would suggest you going to Starbucks instead haha. On Sundays, this place get super busy because all the Korean moms would come here with their kids from church and just gossip hahaha. No seriously, it’s multiple gossip sessions taking place at Caffe bene and I honestly wish I can understand Korean so I can listen in to their conversations haha. Though, there are hella Asians including myself studying here, all trying to get into good schools/professional careers LOL. There’s tons of free parking. Don’t come here for food. Expects Korean moms here on Sundays. That is all.

Bring Headphones — music is loud and jumps genres(mostly foreign) the place itself is nice & clean & the interior is well laid out, but the coffee is mediocre.(I had an iced americano — no complaints)

I work right next door, so I go pretty often, Anyways, went in wanting to order a iced milk tea, got to the register told the girl what I wanted, she then said«Thai tea?» I said noo, milk tea please. A few moments later she looked me dead in the eye and said«I can’t find it on the computer» ??? Okay??? Caffebene, because I am a regularly paying customer that contributes to your organization often and you can’t train employees the computer or to even ask for help, I will not ever go in again. Who turns a customer away for wanting to buy something? Not cool.

Great for studying, catching up and desserts as long as you don’t care if they get your drink right. They consistently mess up orders and will have a bad attitude about it… Be it a latte that becomes a mocha or a decaf ice coffee that wasn’t decaf. Normally not a big deal, but this time, I’m up at 5:25 am writing this because of the snafu. For the latte error, the barista demanded to see my receipt. This time, it was so strange. I saw her pour from a dispenser labeled«ice coffee.» I reminded her, «is that decaf?» And she said, «yes! It’s decaf.» Fool I am to have trusted, I was thirsty. But, did she seriously lie to my face?

I have been eyeing this place for a while, and was excited to finally have the chance to stop by and try it! I REALLY wanted to like this place! But today was not the day. I ordered a drink off the menu and get a «sorry, we don’t have that recipe» –WHAT?! So I went for my usual, safe, Thai Iced Tea. What could go wrong… Well…I paid for a $ 6 large with a $ 20 and received a $ 10 bill for change… no, that wasn’t a tip… all my change please… Then they make it from powder and ice– I should have asked for a refund at this point… and they served me a small-I ordered and paid for a large… And then, I asked for boba and they gave it to me with boba, and a small straw! Really? I had to look around for a large straw to drink the boba. Now, after two hours and an unscheduled colon cleansing, I feel compelled to share my story and total disappointment. I REALLY wanted to like the place! This review is true; it blew. On a lighter note, I heard their waffles are really good… but I am sticking with Honey Boba for my drinks!

I stopped by here one fine afternoon to get my caffeine boost. I was in the south bay, and I was surprised that a Caffe Bene existed here. Like the locations in k-town, this place met all my expectations. Parking was no issue. There was ample parking in the shopping plaza where this coffee shop is located. I walked in to the air conditioned interior and ordered my mocha. The place has a lot of seating, and it is kept clean. The staff members were nice, and they oricessed my drink efficiently. The crowd here was pleasant, and I could see myself posting here to study. If you’re a fan of their K-Town locations, then you will be a fan of this location. Check em out.

Met up with my friend here for a Saturday study date. Being the early bird that I am, I arrived 20 minutes before him. I decided to go in on my own to grab a spot with outlets to plug in my laptop. There turned out to be quite a few tables by outlets so I didn’t really need to worry. Big open space with lots of small tables as well as a really long community table. Perfect for studying, although the lighting is dim. My friend finally came and we went to order our coffee and sandwiches at the counter. You will get the free wifi password on your receipt. I got an iced americano and the chicken teriyaki sandwich. My friend ordered the spicy chicken sandwich. Never thought of putting bean sprouts in my sandwiches, but it turned out to be delicious mixed with the melted cheese. Enjoyed my food and coffee but it was nothing really special. I feel like I would come here more for the environment to study or get work done than I would for the food or drinks… However, their desserts look bomb so maybe that’s more of their specialty. Too bad I’m trying to be healthy!

This review is for the macarons only. I love macarons. One of my all time favorite treats. Since I don’t want to go all the way to LA for lette’s macarons or bottega louie, I’m glad I found a place in Gardena for it. Apparently this shop has been open for a year or two, and I feel like I’ve passed it but have never been inside. Cute coffee shop to study at, if you’re up for something different than Starbucks. I got a box of 6 macarons for $ 12. Pretty standard price anywhere, I think. Though if you buy them individually, they are 2.50? I love that they were just right the amount of sweetness, as I’ve had some from Manhattan beach creamery that were a little bit too sweet. The top is crunchy and the whole thing doesn’t break apart when you bite into it. Would come back again just for the macarons.

I came here after a quick work out with a friend of mine. The ambiance is great. Cute chairs and tables everywhere. Lots of space to work in. This is definitely ideal if you’re trying to get a little bit of homework done. I got one of their teas, chamoille tea, which was okay. I think I probably should’ve picked a better tea. I would probably come back again though, but bring all my books and homework to work on. I think if they just concentrated on a smaller variety of food, teas, or drinks to serve, it would be a lot better. They had too much of a selection for sandwiches, pasta, coffees, teas, and desserts. If they were to just stick with amazing sandwiches and coffee/teas, then I would think they would have a higher review and more people coming through.

This is my #1 go-to café whenever I’m in the area and want somewhere to do work/read. Plenty of parking and indoor seating, a good number of outlets, casual environment, friendly service, and well-made drinks(avg $ 3.50−5)! It’s great for individual study or just catching up with friends in small or large groups. The bathrooms are also really well-kept. The only thing is the noise level gets a bit louder in the afternoon(~12pm) when more people are here.

Caffe Bene is one of my fave late night chill spot! Whether I need to do work(wifi available) or a quick meet with friends and my cousins… I’m here! I first took notice of this place when I was over at Quickly Boba across the street. CB looked really nice from the outside and thought I’d pay it a visit next time I’m in Gardena. Little did I know, I’d really like this spot. I highly suggest the S’mores and waffle treats! I don’t ever have it just by myself since it’s a huge portion. Enjoy it with friends and try the mojito drinks. It’s alright here. The best non-alcoholic mojitos are from Porto’s! I also recommend the Mango smoothie. My cousins and I like it! Not too sweet. There’s tons of parking and indoor seats. I like how everybody minds their own business. Service was okay. Nothing special. Prices are a bit pricey compared to other boba spots in the area – and there’s plenty around Gardena. A solid 3⁄5.

Came to this location on Wednesday around 1pm, it was pretty empty. The location was really nice, big and clean. They have a pretty good menu, there’s boba, dessert, sandwiches, teas & coffees. I tired the boba, sand which, and red velvet. The milk tea boba was good, the bobas were small and kind of hard but the tea was good. The teriyaki sandwich was really good And the red velvet slice of cake was stale.

We were craving something, but didnt know what in particular. Somehow we ended up finding this location. It was definitley worth the drive. They had many choices for your sweet tooth. We chose to go with the banana waffle. It was delicious. There werer other options but I cannot speak for all those options, although they looked great. We might may it back, I say that because I now know there are other locations closer to my place. It seems like a place where college students go to grab some coffee and study.

This is a huge location with easy parking in the garage next door, though they do not validate. Service was fantastic, very helpful. They also sell ice cream, I had the strawberry yogurt and did not love, but my blended mocha was fantastic, really some of the best. Prices are high, which would keep me from coming back all the time, as coffee is easily $ 1 – 2 more than elsewhere. Still very good in taste and quality, made well and quickly. Tons of seating, nice bathrooms, worth checking out while in the area!

I came here to get some studying done. There were lots of tables and the café is very spacious. There were a lot of other people there getting some work done too. I got the ham and cheese sandwich which tasted pretty good, however it was such a hassle when trying to eat it. They gave us a plastic knife to cut it which took a lot of work because the baguette was toasted. We weren’t able to close it like a regular sandwich either since there was too much inside food inside. It would have been nice if they had a metal knife to let us use. I also got a green tea latte which was okay. I thought it tasted a little powdery.

If Diabetes has a girlfriend, it will be Caffebene. They carry several delectable delightful deserts such as; gelato, macaroons, waffles and shave ice. Seeing a gelato in this joint is such a rare treat, for it is scarce to find a decent one in this area. There are several assortments of gelato, yet I haven’t tried the rest of the selection, only a few. Green tea gelato is very good, creamy and the flavor is just right. Moreover, the waffles selections here are not just sweet, but also very creative. You may incorporating different toppings with you’re waffle such as, crème cheese and a choice of fruit syrups. Unfortunately, the texture of the waffle is a little stale, so don’t expect a fluffy and crunchy finish, the way Belgian waffle should be. They have a multiple selections of sweet coffee in this place. My first visit here, I ordered a medium macchiato. At the beginning, I was enjoying my drink however, as I get closer to the middle of the cup, the overwhelming sugar just hit me like a ton of brick. I guess I didn’t expect it to be so sweet, to the point that it was over powering. It was such a shame I had to throw the rest away, the strong saccharine was unbearable, even for someone that has a sweet tooth. So now I just get regular coffee. Free wifi? Maybe. In order for customers to access the Inet connection, password must be obtained from the receipt. It’s only good for 3 hours, until you’re next purchase. I kinda find that a little stingy and lame, compared to several businesses now a days that will allow loyal customers to be connected as long as they want. The atmosphere of this place is amiable, the décor is modern but some of the seats are a little stiff. In general, great place to sit and relax. FYI: $ 10 credit card limit.
