A family owned bakery with ‘as close to’ home baked goods. The service is fantastic and baked goods are just the best. My absolute favorite is their Sweet Potato cake, even though it may sound unusual, but anyone who’s tried it absolutely loves it. Nice to see family owned business with such high quality baked goods. It’s a pleasure to support them.

Let me tell you a Happy Story… Its a story that exemplifies my love of Unilocal. We have a Korean client who comes into our office on a daily basis and trades stocks. When he originally opened his account, he had some thorny problems that I was able to iron out in a timely fashion. He would always ask me for advice about companies and their prospects, but I am not allowed to give such advice(if I could I would). A few days ago he brings me sweet buns as he owns a health spa in the general vicinity(Seoul Health Spa). He indicated that he bought these buns in a bakery on Western Avenue, but he forgot the name. So we BOTH search Unilocal and find out the name is Happy Story. Let me tell ya… these things were good. Not too sweet and the pictures that Tony C took give this place justice. I like the way that they wrap them in the clear cellophane and provide the ingredients of each specific bun. The natural ingredients mainly consist of eggs, yeast, butter, sugar, etc. No weird things such as monkey snot extract or other carcinogens. The reason I joined Unilocal was to expand my horizons foodwise(my 1st exposure to Korean buns) and to meet new people. When I grow old and feeble and look back on my food odyssey, I will always remember this Happy Story.

I like Korean buns. Especially the ones I get to smack at home. Like. when you’re walking up stairs behind her and you can just casually smack ‘em when there’s no one around. Coupla weeks ago, I became too brazen and smacked ‘em in the middle of the restaurant… bad idea. This is a bakery. I have pix of this joint + and their righteous baked goods somewhere. Will upload later. Happy Story’s store sign was what made me venture into this plaza months back. This plaza is where I found Four Seasons. Four Seasons is the joint for which I owned Ronnie and took the ROTD just to be a dick. AGAIN. thank you very much. Just in case y’all missed it, 4 seasons here: My fave @ HS? The savory buns with the hotdog and scallions on top.
