Last minute news!!! The restaurant will reopen on about the 5th of January, 2016. I was informed of this by the owner, who I was able to track down after many tries.

This RESTAURANT is CLOSED. While the reviews were all great, for some reason the owners decided the time had come to CLOSEUPSHOP. I went there ready for some great Peruvian food. Instead I was met by a sign that said, «CLOSEDFORREMODELING». The place was stripped bare and there was no construction or remodeling going on of any kind. I spoke to the neighboring shop owners and they said the restaurant had been CLOSED for about two months now. More confusing is that they have a 3 year lease. But for now they are CLOSED. So who knows maybe we haven’t heard the last of this place. Hopefully you see this review before your gastrointestinal fluids start getting excited about trying something new in the Gardena area. I had to give it one star because I never got to taste the food. Also because I wasted my time and extreme anticipation going to a supposed great restaurant that was, for some unknown reason now closed.

Out of biz. Went there excited by the reviews only to find it gone. I was tricked by reviews so I am writing enough to get this accepted.

I AMSOGLAD I WENTTOTHISPLACE! Saw the business sign one day and was curious to what this place was. It used to be «Café Lotus» but I’m so glad that weird coffee shop is gone LOL. I saw on Unilocal that it was a Peruvian restaurant and it had really good reviews/photos so we finally decided to try it out today! I am a big Saltado fan so I HAD to try it. Before you get your meal they give you bread, green sauce, and butter to start you off. We got these fries I can’t remember what they were called but it was SO delicious. Probably my favorite dish. I ordered the pollo Saltado, my boyfriend and friends ordered the beef version. They were both really flavorful probably one of the best ones I’ve had. The chicken was better in my opinion! I also got the plain crêpe with powder sugar and Nutella on the side. I really love that they serve crepes here! It was soooo good! It comes with whipped cream and a scoop of icecream. They have various options to choose from and good prices. I really enjoyed the service here and our food came out quickly. Our waitress was really nice and helpful! I’m really glad I tried this place out and I hope that more people give this place a shot because you will love it!

Went here for Sunday brunch with the partner. We were excited to try a new place in Gardena and felt extremely welcomed when we came in(it was also pretty quiet so they kept checking in on us which could be annoying but they were sooo nice so it was welcomed!). It was super hot outside so the inside’s high ceilings and A/C was a friendly welcome. Very clean and well kept. Peruvian music was also nice touch for the ambiance. Food itself was good but not great — especially for the price. The Ayahuasca fries for appetizer were our favorite part — recommend getting those! The doors were wide open which was nice for breeze but there were flies hanging out with us which was bothersome. Overall a good experience but not great. Will be back to try the sweet crepes since we were too full after our appetizers and meals! Would ho here if we were in the area but not if we were not

Great freshly prepared food at this place. I had the Lomo Saltado and it was very, very good, ALL fresh ingredients. Server was very nice and attentive to all tables. I will be returning for some ceviche dishes that looked tasty.

First time here. Seems like a very new place. Too new that they don’t have high chairs(yet). My toddler was hard to manage but once we put her in the stroller she was ok, especially when the food got there. We got the Saltado de pollo and loved it. It has red onions, tomatoes, potatoes, and chicken w rice on the side. My fiancé wanted to order Mariscos but they didn’t have it. I’m giving it 5 stars because the food was delicious, and even though they didn’t have a high chair and my fiancés first choice, the waitress made up my giving us a crêpe at the end. We got the classic(banana and Nutella). Great service Great food Hope they get high chairs soon and everything on the menu to be available at all times. So much potential.

Really fresh and delicious! Had the Ceviche and Shrimp Cocktail, loved that the cocktail was served in half an avocado! I’m pretty new to Peruvian food but this place has me craving more. Really cute and quaint new place in the neighborhood, worth the visit.

Being a Peruvian myself. I strongly recommend this place, try the arroz con pollo, pesto fettucine with beef and the lomo saltado. Ask for the specials cau-cau once a week!

Must try Peruvian food! We had the Lomo Saltado and Arroz con Pollo. They both were served with green rice and I think pickled red onions. The red onions gave the dish a nice fresh crunch! Both rice and meats were very well seasoned. I LOVE Lomo Saltado and have tried many different versions and I truly can say this is the best I’ve ever tried. Even their green sauce tastes more fresh and flavorful than any others I’ve tried. We also had the El Peruane crêpe which is with fresh strawberries, condensed milk and strawberry sauce. All crepes come with homemade whipped cream, ice cream and powdered sugar. Amazing! We literally scraped every plate. Service is amazing. The owners are a really sweet Peruvian couple and are very friendly! The restaurant is in a plaza so no problem for parking. Very reasonably priced for amazing, authentic food! Definitely will be coming back. :)
