I had a delicious salmon with sweet potatoes and my partner got prime-ribs. Great place. Very stylish. Awesome food. The only problem was the waitress. She was fast… too fast. She did not make us wait but was in such rush that did not want to advice or recommend the food. When we decided to take additional drinks we had to almost«hunt’ to get there. We had an impression that they had not enough stuff because those ladies were really running!

Didn’t get to try out food or service. Couldn’t quite get past the dismal hostess. You have to wonder about restaurant management that tolerates anything less than at least a friendly welcome. Ended up at the Rusty Nail Bar and grill on the back. Service, beer and burger were great! I would definitely recommend the Rusty Nail. Yellowstone Mine, you are on your own.

Good food but have never experienced such a rude waitress. Was afraid to ask for anything above her serving the food. Because if we ask for butter or anything else she gave us this look of exasperation. When she did serve the food, she slammed it down and hurried away. Even though the food was good I came away from the experience bewildered and wondering why I paid for such treatment. Not sure if she had had a bad day or what before my companions and I arrived.

The service was horrible took over an hour to get our food! Then only gave us one meal free but most expensive one had to pay for total rip off

Just had their prime rib and rib eye .and I must say that it was nothing short of amazing! The quality of the meats were superb! Way better than anything I’ve ever had in CA. The service was top notch! Our server Taylor was very prompt, courteous and observant! Definitely a great way to top off an amazing trip to Yellowstone! #foodcoma

We stayed at the Best Western and they give a complimentary breakfast as part of the stay. We’d eaten there the night before and the food was ok(not outstanding but ok) and figured they would have a decent breakfast. When we entered the dining room, a young man named«Thunder» with a long pony tail greeted and seated us. Yes ladies and gentlemen, that’s his real name. Mr. Thunder asked if we’d like anything to drink and my wife said«coffee and water please.» Unfortunately I made the mistake of asking if we could get the drinks ourselves. Mr. Thunder then looked at me with a nasty grin, rolled his eyes and with a most shitty tone in his voice said, «No! That’s why I just got done asking IFYOUWANTEDSOMETHINGTODRINK.» I looked at my wife and said, «wow, that was cute.» Mr. Thunder realized that he just insulted a guest with his arrogant and smart ass reply and began a rather lame attempt at an apology. He explained that he’d had a bad week. We left before finishing breakfast and I figured it was best to leave since I didn’t feel much like getting arrested 800 miles from home for breaking a punk into multiple pieces. Oh and if your wondering if we ever got the drinks well we sure did. Two coffees and one water. He made sure to use a little passive aggressive to piss me off even more and then split from the room so I couldn’t ask for a second water. Would I advise anyone go to this establishment for the free breakfast? Yeah it’s included in the price of your room stay so why not. Just don’t expect too much and for god sakes do not ask if you can get your own drinks!

Food was awesome! Hubby ordered special — Pork Osso Buco — & I had the Chicken ala Oscar. Both were good sized portions and tossed salads(try their blue cheese dressing) were good mix of greens.

Nice people and good service. Food was lacking. Basic hotel breakfast buffet. Biscuits and gravy, big tub of scrambled eggs. Sausages were way over cooked, almost like chewing on a stick. Good place to go if you stayed at the Best Western… cuz its free.

Prime Rib SUPERB!!! Had to come back after out first visit and low and behold, they out did themselves! Even better service and Perfect Prime Rib! Did not expect that from anything short of a specialty steak house, so many over cooked, under seasoned, stingy sized. This was magnificent! Made my trip. Reasonably priced and we’ll staffed. After a slew of tourist traps up and down the street this was such a pleasant relief, wish I found it sooner, thank you to whoever runs this place.

Great food! Friend staff! Great huckleberry ice cream!!! A bit pricey for a family restaurant, the normal kids choices so we had to order the kids off the normal menu. Grilled chicken and veggies $ 18.00. All in all good.

Never been super impressed by food in gardiner. So we ate at the mine since we had not tried it before. The prime rib was excellent and we were very happy with the service. Nice to find a very good food spot in gardiner as we travel through a couple of times each year

If I could give this place zero stars, I would! We were first seated are table with too few chairs, which is bizarre since the number of party was not kept secret. Once seated at an appropriately sized table, we were left to starve and the kids to become restless. Several other parties expressed issues of slow service and a slow kitchen. We finally left. Sadly, even though the staff seemed nice enough, there was some kind of turmoil in the business which prevented it from functioning effectively. As for the food, it might be good, though I don’t know if anyone has had the chance to try it. Save yourself frustration, eat at the corral down the road!

Perfect Dinner! After a cold January sunset at Yellowstone Park, my mom & I drove down the main street looking for dinner. I sent her in to check out the atmosphere and the mine theme with fireplaces and a good smell got the nod. We shared a 16 oz prime rib steak. I like medium, she likes m rare. They only serve the steak whole but brought a plate with half the veggie & extra condiments. I ate the edge pieces from the 3″ thick slab, she ate the center. It was great for both our tastes, and delicious. I’m not a huge steak fan, but this could convert me. They split the side salad for us which had several veggies & fresh mixed greens. The house vinaigrette was tasty — both sweet & tart with good flavor. The baked potato had good flavor & texture from skin to center. The asparagus was done with a light touch. It went down easy with hot apple cider(plus Yukon Jack or rum), and despite being full of food and the tasty multigrain loaf bread, we picked the housemade Blueberry Pie with Huckeberry ice cream for dessert. Perfection. We almost arm wrestled to see who could lick the plate clean. The waitress was friendly, quick, & accommodating — we started dining alone then the room half filled. The bar waitress was also gracious in directing us to the non– fried food. The restroom was very clean, located behind a sculptural wall of quartz. Will absolutely dine here again. Could not have been a better dining experience.

Service was horrible. Had to refill our drinks myself. They weren’t busy at all so there was no reason for the service to be bad. Didn’t even ask if we needed a to go box. Although our waitress wasn’t present the majority of the time, the potato soup was really good. Steaks weren’t cooked like we had asked.

Ok breakfast buffet. Gotta have something to eat before heading into the park since you don’t know if anything will be open when you get back. Not much of a selection but if staying at hotel it’s free.

We only ate here because we were staying at the Best Western, and the hotel offers a free breakfast buffet here. How nice! The restaurant is pretty old and could use some updating, but the folks that were working here are super-friendly! The breakfast-buffet had a fair selection(sausage, biscuits/gravy, cereal, eggs, pancakes, orange juice, etc…). The food was so-so. Overall it was nice that the hotel/restaurant offered this free breakfast buffet. We’d come back for that, and maybe lunch, but not much more.

We arrived in the evening just within the last hour of business. After I noticed the hours of operation I asked the hostess if we’d be too late or in the way due to the shorter time available. «Oh, you’re fine. No problem» was what she said. Great, let’s eat. The two of us ordered fairly light. I got the Buffalo Burger and a cup of French Onion soup. My companion got the French Onion soup and just a side order of veggies. Not too much or crazy foods were ordered. The soup took a while to come(baking time I assume?) and the burger and veggies came out about ten minutes later while both of us were still in to the soup. The soup was messy and getting through the cheese took a while so we were watching time go by. Not wasting time, just being thorough. Suddenly WHAM! as a metal gate is closed at the back of the dining room. We were sitting in the rear of the dining room so this was pretty close to us. Them all these ultra bright fluorescent lights come on when we had been fine with the dim dinner lighting. We are clearly being rushed. Not the waitress and bus boy are making stops every minute or so. Yes, we read you loud and clear. They should have mentioned when we walked in that when we close that you must leave. That wouldn’t be a normal policy you see at restaurants but if that is how you run it then be up front about it. The soup was pretty good. Slightly salty but within French Onion range. My burger was cooked perfectly and the pink center allowed some good buffalo flavor to shine through. This could have been a much better review but customer service was lacking here. I’d like to try it again in the future for a Prime Rib dinner to see how that works.

Best place in Gardiner for a nice dinner. For you city folks… this isn’t a Ruth’s Chris but a place where you can order a good steak and decent seafood. They do have a full bar(not one that you would want to hang at unless you feel like playing some Keno) and we found their martinis were great! This restaurant is onsite at The Best Western.
