Excellent food. Very good service. Thank you. Close to Yellowstone. Not too many kids but kid friendly. Will come again.

Food was just ok. Was craving for something more filling than sandwiches and pizza and thought of giving this place a try. Tried hamburger steak, fried cod steak, and chicken tenders and were all decent. Something to just get my hunger through but not enough to make me come back. I dont know though abt the steak because i read that its specialty is steak but so far, whatever we had was just ok. Seating was easy, staff are friendly and place is clean.

Okay food and goodish service? Our waiter was friendly but our order came out wrong! We dealt with it because we got the right meats just with the wrong sides and we were all sharing anyway. We ordered the peach cobbler to go and I was incredibly disappointed with what we got. It looked like a few pieces of peaches covered in crumbs…

Great place, service was excellent and good great. Love the peach cobbler. Spotless and has western charm. Gets a 5 from us!

Food cooked horrible! Tasted even worse than junk food. But the price much higher than junk food. We ordered beef steaks and other more stuff. They were cooked too hard to chew, and too salty to eat. Waitress did not know much about their manual and gave us wrong orders. This is place where paying attention to collect customers money instead of providing services. I would try other restaurants around the area.

Not the best place in town. Hubby ordered stew, 8 $ a bowl, and was more like pulled pork with peas. Hamburger, so so, fries, yesterday’s bits and peces.

The food was not that good.
I also stayed at the lodge. If you are looking for a place that ‘cowboys’ actually hang out, keep looking… Nothing but Kitschy, froo-​froo bullshit in here!

Very decent place… good food, good price, some decent beer and good service. Came for dinner with the family while visiting the park. Had the Bull Burger and thoroughly enjoyed it, washed down with a Bent Nail IPA. Everyone in the family enjoyed the place. Would definitely go back.

This place was alright.
I had the chicken special, which was grilled or baked, and was quite dry. The sauce was tasty, though. The green beans were canned and unaltered. Skip on those. The fries were yummy, and were the treat of the meal.
However, surprising or not, the Country Fried Steak was DELICIOUS. The batter clung to the meat excellently, and the gravy was great. It was $ 12, however, which is ridiculous.
The server girl was pissy, seemed like she had better things to be doing. She was rude to several customers that came in (not us, though). I saw on the register that the tips are split between the entire staff, so I might have been a bit pissy, too, if I were a server there.
We should have had a cobbler or cake, which folks said were good, but our tab was already rung up way too high to keep it flowing. I would come back for the country fried steak if it were reasonably priced, but until then I’ll just keep drivin’ by.

Given the high average rating, I was expecting better from this place. The service was fine but my burger was on the burnt side of well done. This was after asking it to be more medium than well done. I would have sent it back but I didn’t want my wife’s food to get cold.

Sucked. Which you should have done on the bbq but no. Waitress returned fairly quickly with the dinner which made us question the food before we ate it.
Pork ribs didn’t fall off the bone, were gray in color as if they’d been sitting in water. Not much sauce on ribs. They had several different sauces in plastic squirt bottles. How cowboy. Chicken was dried out. Overcooked, sat a while probably, and came from chickens who never lived outside in this great state. Chicken fried steak was way too thin, and probly breaded & shipped days before.
Fries were good, salad too cold. These owners don’t know food. They can’t rely on the locals unless they don’t care. They must rely on those people that pass through to Yellowstone. Don’t eat here.
Get ‘em in, get ‘em out raw hide.

Understand, my rating of this restaurant is relative to its location. Compared to other places in Gardiner, and especially the food in the park, this place is hands down the best I’ve found.
That said, the food (my party had burgers and salads) was actually pretty decent. The atmosphere was pretty cool (Yellowstone chic!) The service, well, the kids were nice but I don’t think they’re from around here, and by «here» I mean America. They had tunnel vision. No chance of getting their attention unless you walk right up in front of them. They weren’t in a particular hurry, and generally seemed a bit confused. Not surprisingly our orders were wrong, all three of them. But they were relatively minor issues and overall it wasn’t a bad experience.
I also wanted to buy one of their hoodies. I really like their logo. But they only had small and extra large. I tried to ask if there were anymore in the back but after I got the host’s attention he gave me an unconvincing «no,» seemingly unable to divert enough attention from whatever he was looking at behind the desk to actually think about it (or perhaps care). So why four stars? Because after days of eating park food, this was a joy.

We stopped in while we were visiting Yellowstone, and the food was amazing!!! We ordered the chicken fried steak, and the prime rib sandwich, both were very good. The service was good as well. She gave recommendations, and came back to check on us multiple times. I would come back if we were going to visit Yellowstone again.

Basically served us hogslop (branded as «the special») after an hour long wait that involved a careless host, an errant waitress, and a bigoted owner.

I had the country fried steak and my husband had the combo brisket and pulled pork. Both were excellent. We also stayed in one of the studio rooms here for a week. The rooms were cozy and the kitchen was furnished. The bed was VERY comfortable. The owners were welcoming and extremely nice and accommodating. Everyone in Gardiner is absolutely lovely and I can’t wait to come back to this friendly, unique town.

The food was OK and they charge every single plate from you if you would like to share the food with your family. Not recommend

We decided to stop here on our way out of the park to grab something to eat. The place was almost empty so we were quickly seated. My daughter ordered a buffalo burger and fries. I ordered a roast beef sandwich. Overall, it was good food. We were served very well and it was a pleasant meal.

Back again. Can’t get enough of this place. This time had the fried pork chops amazing, chopped steak smothered in onions and gravy! Insane. Staff are still awesome. If you are in this are and don’t stop here you might as well kick yourself.

We were originally recommended to a pizza place down the street, but they were closed so our family decided to stop here before returning to Yellowstone. I’m so happy we did! This is by far the best meal we’ve had during our vacation. We tried the prime rib sandwich, cowboy chili, pulled chicken sandwich, and a special of the day. Not only was everything tender and flavorful, we couldn’t stop raving about it afterward.
The service was fast and friendly, but not hovering which I don’t like. I definitely recommend this as a stop if you are looking for a filling meal, that’s also tasty and memorable.

GREAT LUNCH STOP
Shortly after leaving the Yellowstone NP North Gate, we stopped here for lunch, and everything was just right.
My wife had the BBQ ¼ Chicken special and loved it (though the chicken was a bit undercooked). I had the ¼ lb. hamburger with fries and both were perfect.
