Pizza Hut

Friendly staff, but very poorly managed. About 50% of the time they mess up my carry out order. The 3 or 4 times we have dined in the service has been horrendous. Tonight was especially bad, despite only 2 other tables being occupied they could only produce our appetizer and a couple of refills in 45 minutes. After we asked about our pizza, we were told that after they made our breadsticks, they took down our order. So our pizza hadn’t even been started. Guess the one star can represent you not charging me tonight. I had to witness another patron get up and seek out the waitress when he wanted something. Honestly place could be decent if properly managed, guess we’ll head to Olathe when we want a Pizza Hut fix.

The pizza is standard Pizza Hut quality. No issues with that.
We’ve gone twice to the buffet and both times it was insanely busy. Every table filled and only one server, poor thing. The real problem, however, is the amount of pizza they had out for everyone. On this buffet there is only enough for maybe 3 or 4 pizzas. So as you could imagine, an entire restaurant filled with families and construction workers on lunch, the pizza goes really fast. So as soon as they brought out a pizza (which was only one or two at a time), they were gone immediately. Then there would be a 5 minute wait for one or two more pizzas to come out. So for people on lunch, like myself and coworker, we did not have enough time to eat everything we would have liked to and mainly filled up on salad.
I have not ordered pizza as carryout, dine in or delivery from here so I can only comment about the lunch buffet. The pizza was good, the server did the best she could, but they need to get pizza out faster.
Basically, if you have the time to wait, it would be good but if you’re in a hurry you should probably avoid this one.

Its a pizza chain. Ordered online, which is an option (yeah!); however, the time for pick up that was expected was not accurate. I had to wait an additional 15 minutes (on top of the promised time). It was frustrating since I had already paid. By the time I reached home (5 – 7 minutes away), the food was not hot anymore. What a let down! My kiddos had friends over for a sleep over and they were looking forward to hot and delicious pizza. They got greasy and chewy pizza instead.

Eh, it’s Pizza Hut. Nothing earth shattering but good nonetheless. Friendly staff. Interior was remodeled several years ago and still in nice condition. Good dependable pizza.

Carbs are my weakness, so I sometimes get a craving for some good breadsticks and some ‘okay’ pizza; Pizza Hut can satisfy my needs fairly cheaply, and PHs are available almost everywhere.
Well, after fighting the traffic in KC, and just generally being cranky, breadsticks were in order for my ‘carb’ high to kill my bad mood. I also stopped by another time when I wasn’t so cranky as I passed by Gardner. While the breadsticks weren’t as perfect as they were the first time I stopped (that was carry out), the 2^nd visit (dine in) really made me glad I stopped by.
It was a slow Friday afternoon. The ‘Hut was very clean and full of lively friendly people. :) They really made me smile! The camaraderie between the employees reminded me of the days when I worked in a small town café’ as a teen. The on duty manager was very nice, and even joked with me after I first joked with him (SMILE!). His mother had stopped in, and it was just nice to see him as a ‘person’ instead of just an employee who cooks or serves food. My food was good (slightly above average), my drink was kept filled, and the atmosphere was great. It made me miss, just for a second, small town life.
I felt genuinely appreciated as a customer/​guest of the restaurant. Sure, it’s only Pizza Hut, not fine dining, but the welcoming atmosphere was in sharp contrast to many, if not most, restaurants in the metro area. It felt just so GENUINE. :)
They also have many TVs, a salad bar, free poker on select nights, and just an overall good feeling. :)
