Definatley one of the best Goodwills in the Dallas area. Totally worth the drive to check it out(and while you’re in Garland, hit up The Generator for a coffee!). Very clean & well laid out store. HUGE homeware section– they had an entire aisle of just lamp shades! This store is a lot bigger and nice than the Goodwills on Midway or Beltline. The dressing rooms were clean & nice too– oh, and they had hooks!!! The only thing is yeah the jeans were all mixed together & not sorted by size or color or anything but Eh. What can you do.

Good sized Goodwill with that almost fresh laundry smell when you walk in. Big assortment of clothes(takes up most of the square footage), but nice quantity of housewares, small electrics, etc. Found what I was looking for, at the right price. Helpful staff with good knowledge of the merchandise. Worth a stop!(This Goodwill is listed twice in Unilocal. The map app associated with this listing misdirects. Not sure about the other listing.)

This location is my preferred Goodwill in Dallas. I’ve covered most area Goodwills, and this one always delivers with some great finds. The layout works excellent with any casual thrift shopping. Plethora of purses(some designer pieces, mostly crap, but you’ll find some Dooney, replica Louis) and tons of «FGW» marked Fossil wallets. The shoe Dept. is supplied very well as there is many options for men and women alike. This store is inside an old skating rink, so the size is very big. Above average. One half of the store is for men’s clothing and the other is for women. This is a BIGPLUS given that most thrift stores allocate their men’s clothing off to one side. TONS of toys, great place to find excellent mint condition vintage board games, GIANT housewares dept, and a small sectional library with hundreds of Disney titles. What makes this store so wonderful to me is the staff, once you get to know these guys you’ll find that they are excellent people with a witty sense of humor. They keep the store very clean, and most clothing is organized by size, movies by titles, etc. Give it a shot!

The manager must be ocd since everything is color coordinated! I never been to a thrift store so organized and also very large. The clothing section is the biggest and there is a traditional kitchen, electronic, and toy area, but The furniture section is small sadly but everything else is very nice and tidy for a thrift shop! So if your looking for clothing and more specific things then this is the place for you!

This goodwill is decent. The one in Plano is better in my opinion. The drop off area at this one is kind of shady but it works. Either way it’s a great place to get cloths cheap

The drive thru donation is super convenient and efficient. There is a worker that keeps a watch. She noticed me pulling up before I came to a complete stop. I tossed my bags into the cart and she handed me a donation slip right there. I was in and out in less than sixty seconds. Take that Nicolas Cage!

My husband and I dropped off a few bags of clothes yesterday after some pretty intense spring cleaning. We stumbled upon this store as we were headed to Red Robin for some burgers and amazing steak fries. While we didn’t go inside the actual store, we were disappointed with the customer service that occurred outside while dropping off our donations. When I approached the donation truck, I smiled and asked the employee how his day was going. He grumbled at me and just grabbed the clothes out of my hands. When I asked for a tax deduction slip, he looked as though I had ruined his day once again. But, he reached into his folder and thrust one towards me. Unfortuneatly, this experience does not really make me want to donate more clothes.

I cannot be anymore disgusted with this location. I have been to different locations all across Dallas and the state and this has to be the worst! I went in to buy a typical Burberry polo(blue label-cheaply made!) and a nice like new brooks bro. polo. The burberry polo had several stains and even had a hole under the front spine that needed repair. I got this polo on the $ 3.99 rack which seemed reasonable having it need repair and stain removal. When I go to register to check out I inform the cashier that the polo didn’t have a tag because I got it on the $ 3.99 markdown rack and she rudely replied«it’s not always that way!» and pulls out a book to get some random price. After telling her repeated I got this on the markdown rack she says because it’s name brand it’s $ 7.99! Not so, the brooks«like new» polo had a $ 3.99 tag on it!!! I told her it’s rediculous how you’re charging me $ 7.99 for a polo that has a hole in it and several stains, regardless of the name brand. The most goodwill has ever charged me for a polo is $ 5.99. If it wasn’t for nasty customer service and better customer satisfaction I would have been a happier shopper only this was a disgrace and total waste of time!

I have drove by this place literally hundreds of times and never stopped by. My friend and I decided to do some shopping on the cheap. Lots and lots of clothes and shoes. This place is huge, comparable in size to the average mall clothing store. The clothes are very affordable, in good shape, and stylish. I picked up two pairs of capris, a blouse, a purse, cookie sheet, dish rack, iron, and ironing board for $ 35 They have all sorts of dishes, housewares, small appliances and knick knacks.

I always find treasures at reasonable prices. I practically decorated my whole house from items I found at this location. Their clothes selection is great as well.

This is a good thrift store. Nice selection of housewares and clothes/shoes. It’s very organized for a thrift store. Most of the prices are reasonable. However, some of the clothing is a bit overpriced. I only gave it 4 stars because they don’t sell furniture.

I am with the general consensus that this Goodwill is as good as it gets. I’ve been to a lot of other Goodwills in the metroplex and this one is by far the best. Large selection of clothing and shoes, household items, and books. I can tell their secret has been discovered though — years ago when I came here it wasn’t quite as picked over as it is now, but they still have great finds!

This is the best Goodwill in the northern area(particularly compared to the Plano stores). This Goodwill has a good selection in all the categories, from Toys to Books to Household Goods to Clothes. I am particularly pleased with their clothing selection and have found good plus-sized and kids bargains here. The store is clean and usually not messy, although that can always depend on how busy it is that day. Dressing rooms are spartan, but well-sized. Thrift store shopping is like a treasure hunt, and this is definitely one of my preferred beaches. I usually find at least one thing every visit and once in a while I have excellent finds of like-new items! Oh and in response to the last review — the nearest Salvation Army is only a few miles south, at the corner of North Garland and Buckingham. And I do agree that this store makes dropoff very convenient, with a staffed trailer in the back of the parking lot, away from most of the store traffic.

Goodwill does not take furniture! This is geared towards Donors… Yes there was ample parking, and it wasn’t crowded and it was easy access off of Shiloh. But I didn’t go inside and I didn’t go to shop. I went to donate a bunch of things. I think this is important to know because I came away with things still not donated and now taking up space in my garage. ** Goodwill does not take furniture. ** Furthermore, the gentleman that accepted my donations said that the Salvation Army will take my furniture. Upon asking, he said it’s close to downtown. When I asked for the nearest one, he said that’s the only one. Suddenly I feel like donating to the Arc of Texas again because not only do they pickup they took computer monitors, a box load of electronics, pots & pans and basically all I had out there. Maybe some know or maybe my wife knew and purposefully didn’t tell me so I would make the trip and learn for myself, and then laugh at me when I got back but I didn’t. So save yourself the hassle by not loading up the following items I list below. A quick list of what Goodwill will NOT take: – Beds(mattresses & box springs) – Couches – Tables – TVs – Hutches – Cabinetry – Night Stands – Book Cases – Changing Tables – Cubby Holes Basically, he said things made of wood. So now you know, now go and do likewise :)
