Cook-Out

Ok Burger and plenty of different milkshakes. This is a hangout for the local high school kids. Parking lot was full of them with the loud noise and hanging around doing nothing. To much weed smoking in front of the place.

Who doesn’t love Cookout? Fresh and delicious fast food for an affordable price. They have tons of varieties of milkshakes, and they even let you mix flavors together for a unique combination. They have burgers, chicken sandwiches, hotdogs, whatever you want. Oh and the $ 5 Cookout tray? Best deal in town. And as an added bonus: They have Cheerwine! I can’t wait to go back!

I am a huge fan of their chicken nuggets and milkshakes. As with everything now, they did go up on the prices of the cook-​out trays a tad, and I really hate that they charge for every single ingredient you put on your burger (well almost everyone). This particular trip my daughter wanted Cook-​out and opted not to order anything. They do seem to rush you at times when you are placing your order, or asking for my time to decide, and I wish they wouldn’t do that. It really annoys me!
My daughter stated the food was average, nothing to get too excited about. But she was excited with all the fresh hush-​puppies they gave her! lol Good food, reasonable prices, and fair customer service.

I normally love the food but when I get my order and get out on the highway and there is NOT ONE NAPKIN in my bag I get a little upset. It’s not like I’m at home and I can great one from the kitchen. I mean how cheap do they have to be. Really. they aren’t making enough money that I can have a napkin ??? And this has happened more than ONCE. Really cookout stop being so stingy!!!

I was thinking of doing a 4 star Review because hey, its a Cook-​Out! But then I saw all the 5 stars, and I’m gonna go for it. It really is ‘As good as it gets!’ when you want an excellent Char-​Broiled Burger, an array of toppings, more Shake Combos than you can shake a stick at, and Cheerwine… all for an unexpectedly awesome price. The «Trays» are $ 4.99 each, and you’ll get a hearty meal. The employees here are well trained in customer service and food preparation, so there are no complaints. This Cook-​Out has some picnic tables outside, a walk-​up window, and plenty of parking. The next time you want Good North Carolina Food Fast, drive through here, you won’t be disappointed!

What makes this Cookout a bit different is the large space. There’s lots of parking, outdoor seating with a dozen tables and bathrooms that are accessible from outside.

Yum. Cheap and delicious. Corn dogs and onion rings and thick shakes… oh my! Seriously delicious.

Cheap, quick food for the whole family, always awesome to eat! If I want something on a rush, I hit here on the way home.

I lived in North Carolina for the summer a few years ago and this place was a great spot to hit up.
First I LOVE Cheerwine, and any place that has it is a friend of mine.
I had the Cook Out Tray, I got it with a burger came with two sides or doubled up and a drink. Under $ 5.
They have great burgers and this time I tried the cheese fries for the first time and they were great too. Why not go hard when you want some food sometimes? I wish they had these in Texas… maybe one day??? ;)

For the type of food you get, the speed at which they serve it to you, and the surprisingly excellent quantity and quality, I’m giving cookout 5-stars…all this from the convenience of your very own car.
It is STRICTLY a drive-​through.
If you just want good fast food, then this is the place…
I would recommend the burger over the chicken here as the chicken is just above average, but the burgers which you can get are super tasty, filling, and you can get it loaded to your liking… they have a bevy of toppings is quite inexpensive. t
The milkshakes are ridonkulous. So many flavors and you can combo anything you want without restrictions. They have ZERO limits… which is sick! :)
Yes, go JUST for the milkshakes, and if you have little kids, have them share it… they big and filling! Even older kids sometimes cant finish them.
I actually am surprised to write this, but the double-​burger is the best burger I’ve had in Clayton/​Garner area… note this is NOT a sit-​down place at all.
I seem to like cookout more and more each time I go!

I like the Cook-​Out concept. No wasted time or energy on a dining room or even on more than a bench or two. Just a double-​drive through window and a focus on burgers, hot dogs and shakes. So that’s what we did — we drove through, got three shakes (banana, banana fudge and blueberry cheesecake) for the road. Excellent flavor and texture, good amount of «stuff» in there.
Tip — blueberry cheesecake is not easy to drink with a straw. lol.
