I am definitely a fan of Kaze. I walked-in with an open mind and left will good vibes and a full stomach. The staff & service were prompt and delightful, the atmosphere was well lite, spacious and comfortable, and the food was great. The fried rice, noodles, shrimp, scallops, and sushi were my favorite. I most certainly will be returning to Kaze to share the experience with family & friends.

Lacking in customer service… Ordered a regular hibachi and a kids hibachi got more food for the kids than the adults hibachi. Food is also filled with salt to the point where it is not edible. Not going back ever again.

This was my first time and I enjoyed it very much! The food was excellent! My boyfriend and I had the imperial dinner which consisted of, filet mignon, shrimp, and chicken with fried rice and noodles and cinnamon bananas. It was a very good show! I would recommend this to everyone I know!

Kaze is one of my favorite sushi restaurants around! I’ve never had anything there except for the vegetable tempura and sushi. The rolls are always prepared with some warm rice and they always look neat. The fish tastes very fresh. Waiters are always nice and are great about frequent refills. I highly recommend Kaze for any sushi lovers!

Second time here, and they didn’t redeem themselves. The food is mediocre at best. Last time we couldn’t get a hibachi seat. The vegetables were over cooked, the beef and the chicken were small, rubbery and the steak was not cooked to oder. I would’ve complained, but I didn’t see my server again until he dropped the check. Maybe it was an off day, so we tried it again. Tonight we were told they had two reservations and there was an hour wait for a hibachi seat. So they have 2 working hibachi or 2 hibachi chefs — either way, not enough. We left. So I can’t comment on the food. There a GREAT Mexican place opposite them. Go there instead.

The food was… ok. We sat near the sushi bar at a table and I watched the waiter go in and out of this dirty curtain with food and drinks. He was sooo slow and the girls at the front were rude. Never again!

Updating… Tried again today and still not appealing. Horrible customer service and incredibly understaffed. Servers do not cost a lot of overhead so having 2 servers on the floor of the hibachi side should not seem unrealistic. Sushi is very«westernized» where eel sauce or something is dressed up on a lot.

This place is just OK on my opinion. The hibachi chicken was good-not overcooked and plenty of vegetables. I got the Yellow Jacket roll as well but could not really taste the eel and it was sort of a small roll. My mother got the lettuce chicken wraps and the chicken was very bland and the sauce was ho-hum. I would rather pay a few extra bucks and go to Tasu over in Cary.

Ugh. I wanted to like this place — I love hibachi, but this place fell short. Very short. We were told a 40 minute wait at 6pm on Friday for a party of 3 but were actually sat in about 25 which was great. The waitress must have been new because she was horrible. The menu doesn’t list prices of sushi nor did she know the prices. Didn’t know if they were doing a BoGo or anything. Finally we got the information and were able to order. When the salad/soups came out, she totally just forgot to bring me mine — uh okay. She did correct the issue but still. She was MIA most of the evening. There were other people filling up our water glasses so that was good at least. At one point I wanted to order a glass of wine, but it took her 20 minutes to come back over to the table so I said didn’t even bother at that point. Myself and my friend both ordered our own sushi and she brought them out on the same plate — that was weird to me. Our chef was great. He was very friendly. He burned the rice a little bit, but it wasn’t inedible or anything. I will say, he didn’t have very many«tricks». He did the big fire in the beginning and then he was all down to business. I think we got one shrimp toss and that was it. The food was good but nothing amazing. The bathrooms in this place are absolutely HORRIBLEEE. I don’t know how they pass inspection with their bathrooms looking the way they do. I will definitely not be coming back.

I am surprised that this place doesn’t have a higher rating. I have been in this place a lot here lately, and they hands down have the best sushi I have ever eaten. This is also at a very reasonable price. Not only is their food amazing, but their customer service has always been second to none. The waiters and waitresses are extremely friendly and always make sure that you have what you need. I recommend people to come to this place and try it out.

First off let me say the staff, food, and the experience were good. The low review is for the state of the restuarant itself. Floors and chairs were gross. Slick spots and just not clean. The women’s bathroom was horrible. One toliet was clogged with the … well … you know visible. The second stall didn’t even have a latch. Just gross, went in, turned around and went home. Place needs some cleaning.

Again and again that place is yummy. Actually should not do Sölch advertisement as waiting time gets longer — but hey it’s good, not the fastest but gives more time to enjoy the sushi. Yummy food even the chef changed. See you again!

Solid 3. Nothing to write home about, but there was nothing that I could really complain about either. A very mid level sushi place. Def not high quality sushi-not low quality either; there are much much worse places out there. Very fair prices and take out service was pretty quick.

The chicken teriyaki was very good. It had great flavor. However, the sushi was a joke. Coming from California, maybe I was expecting too much. I would go back for the hibachi but never the sushi. Had to send it back it wasn’t even edible. :-/

I really like Kaze. Our first time here was takeout sushi. We just didn’t feel like contending with all of Garner for a seat at this place on a Saturday night. The rolls were very fresh tasting, and the sashimi was cold on pickup. That’s not the case with most of my to go orders. Usually it’s well on the way to room temperature. Our second visit was for the hibachi offerings, where we sat group style around the table, and did the typical song-and-dance: Onion volcano — check Flip the shrimp into random vessel — check Spin some eggs and whatnot — check Lots of flame and bombast… but that was what we were in the mood for on that particular evening. Good hibachi offerings, with fresh tasting meat and veggies. Very good. Our third visit was a hybrid: Sushi and hibachi. This restaurant has booths outside the steakhouse showroom where you can just order off the menu. That’s what we prefer. Just a quiet, isolated booth with great sushi and accompanying offerings without any showmanship. If we had wanted to sit at the main sushi bar, that was also an option. Overall, a great experience with lots of ways to tailor the experience to your preference. Service is good, but not anything to write home about. Hibachi food is 3.5* Sushi/Sashimi is 4* Service is 3.25* The many seating options give them a nice bump to a 4* Note: Stay away on weekends. It’s in the same parking lot as the theater, and things are far too crowded to even venture into the area on a Friday or Saturday night. You might consider on a Sunday after the lunch rush.

Hostess said we had to wait 15 – 20 mins for a table. We went to the bar which was empty. Waited 35 mins. Nothing. Went back to hostess. She apologized for forgetting about us. Very slow bar staff. Waited 10 mins for someone to take our drink order. Waitress was absent minded and forgot one of our appetizers. We didn’t have the heart to remind her of her mistake. Our dinner was supposed to come with an appetizer also and they never brought that out either. Our medium rare Imperial dinner for two came out well done and only 1 portion. Waitress noticed as she was handing to us and took it back. She then brought out the same plate again minus the meat and offered it to us. We declined. She said they would remake it, both portions this time. Finally came out correct, a l o n g time after we ordered. Bad service from start to finish. Not worth the headache or the prices they charge. The manager took $ 20 off plus 2 drinks. He should have comped the entire meal in my opinion. And finally their credit card machine was not accepting American express for, according to the waitress, unknown reasons. Bad, bad, worse! Go elsewhere.

I had a date here one night with a young lady that i was trying to impress, so due to there track record with me i knew Kaze was the perfect choice. i mean great food and a little entertainment how could you go wrong. the service was fantastic as usual and the restaurant wasn’t packed that night so the mood was definitely right. this time around i got the Hibachi chicken and it was«off the chain». lol Definitely recommend this location to anyone who loves Japanese food and a great show.
