Super 8 Garner/Clayton/Raleigh

Although I have stayed at this hotel before, this was the first time since the rooms underwent a renovation. I was impressed with the décor and cleanliness of my room. Also, the front desk staff was polite and helpful. And the hotel is in an excellent location, easy to access from I-​40, and just so many eating and shopping options nearby. The only thing I had a minor problem with during this recent stay was the noisy neighbors. But I guess that is unavoidable. All in all, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I was very impressed when I walked into my room at super eight the room was clean updated and very nice. The issue came in when it was time to go to bed I was having a hard time sleeping something was irritating me and it felt like something was crawling on me I turned on the lights and looked on the sheets numerous of times trying to see if I saw anything but I did not. The next morning time to check out we leave and I started itching on my legs and my arms I pull back my shirt to see what it was and low and behold they were bites better known as bed bug bites. I cannot believe that nice room had bedbugs so my husband called and told him about the situation and their response was OK thank you for letting us know of course my husband was enraged and asked to talk to somebody else but apparently they really didn’t care about me or the next person that checks into the room number 101. They were no help at all they said they will call us back they never did, and it’s a shame they don’t care about their guest or their safety I will never go there again be aware. And yes I have pictures of these nasty ass bites…

I was very impressed. Just needed a cheap place to stay for one night, so many places were already sold out when I made my reservation mid-​week (didn’t know Clayton/​garner was such a hot spot!) took my search down to 2 star places and this motel came up at 2.5, but it is lovely! The 3^rd degree at front desk was a bit odd asking repeatedly if I had pets or kids and making sure it was just me but maybe they have had some sort of problem before? But the room was beautiful. Very tastefully decorated, marble tops on everything, table lamps WITH outlets in them (I hate when even high end hotels don’t have that these days). They even offered a Continental breakfast & had a pool however I didn’t go to either. Motel is immediately next to a Cracker Barrel, and several other place to eat with in walking distance (though no sidewalk or crosswalk I took my life in my hands walking to get something to eat across the street!)
