Drinks are great but the design if the parking lot is horrible and he drive thru wait is always 20 mins plus… and if you park to go inside you can’t get out because the drive thru line… very inconvenient when you have places to be on I’m such as work…

I am a huge Starbucks fan. I drive everyday over 5 miles just to get my coffee. I’ve been to both stores in Gastonia. This is my complaint. While I understand that one store has a drive thru and is much larger than the other store, I don’t understand why there are 2 stores literally across the street from each other. People on the West Side of Gastonia also loves to drink Starbucks coffee. The corporation should take that into consideration.

I was home for the holidays and grabbed a white chocolate mocha for my sister to make the family Christmas go smoother for everyone. We were in the drive-thru for TWENTYMINUTES. I understand that it’s Gastonia, and I should have low expectations. But… twenty minutes? That’s just ridiculous and unacceptable. Also, they were out of chocolate cake pops. :( I won’t be back.

I will never go to this Starbucks again. Of course, the drink was great, so that’s not a complaint, but their customer service is sub par to say the least. I ordered a breakfast sandwich with my coffee, and when I pulled up to the window, I was given my coffee and then told it would be a couple minutes for my sandwich. The drive-thru attendant then came back a moment later and said that I should pull around to the stairs. I pulled around to the stairs and waited; a couple more cars ended up pulling behind me. I pulled into the drive-thru at about 7:53, and my order was placed at 8am. I sat at the stairs, and sat at the stairs some more. Finally an employee came out with a bunch of drinks and tried to hand them to me. I told her that I got a sandwich, not these drinks she was trying to hand me. She then apologized and said she would be right back. I sat there a few more minutes; everyone else was gone. Finally she came back and told me that I didn’t order a sandwich. I asked her if she wanted to look at my receipt and she replied with, «No, you can just have this». Just have it? I pulled my receipt out and showed her that I did in fact order the sandwich that took TWENTYMINUTES for me to get. This woman essentially accused me of lying about buying his sandwich. Not professional. She then offered to get me a free drink card for my troubles. Once again, she disappeared. I ended up just driving off.

Great tasting beverages, of course. Oh, and the lemon cake is the best. What really sets this location apart is the staff. They are super friendly and act like they actually want to be there. I really like the atmosphere at this particular location and prefer it over most others in the area(Charlotte, Concord, Cornelius, etc).

Coffee when I need to fast and on the go. Location is a little slow, I blame that on always being packed, but consistent and friendly.

I really appreciate that this Starbucks is here. Gaston County has a weird shortage of acceptable coffee places(to moi), but Starbucks’ brews are always nice(this is when corporate works). That said, this is one of the least Starbucks-like Starbucks I’ve been to. It’s a little soft around the edges but, you know, I sure don’t mind. When I want sharp edges, I drive to Charlotte. But when I want to study and drink my coffee black, and that’s all I want, I need no more than this Cox Rd. location has to offer. More seating would be nice, though! Or like, guys you know there’s one across the street at Target, right? Sometimes when the drive-thu line wraps around the building and all the indoor seating is full, the Target Starbucks two minutes away is completely empty. Sooo maybe I’ll go there, maybe you’ll go there, nbd we’ll work it out.

I am not from the area but I think this is a relatively new location. I am an admitted Starbucks fan but not every location is on their A-Game. This place is. I went there with family members in the evening and then went back the next day mid-morning. Both times were excellent. The staff here is excellent. They have an awesome attitude and they are customer focused in every way. This is really the key element to a Starbucks being great because the drinks are usually going to be consistent. Kudos to the hiring manager. The store was also immaculate on both visits. Of course I had to wash my hands so I can also testify to the cleanliness of the restroom as well. The food/pastry displays were also fully stocked and very well done. It goes without saying that my drinks were perfect both times. I had the Strawberry Smoothie in the evening and the Peppermint Mocha Latte the next morning. I took notice of the customers around me as well and everyone seemed to be very happy with their orders and the shop itself. I hate to sound too cliché but the place had really positive energy. I think I stayed for about two hours catching up on work. It was the best two hours of my day.

Up until recently, I would frequent this Starbucks because of the beverages, snacks, and good customer service. However, the other day, I arrived at this Starbucks at 645 am to several cars and people waiting outside locked doors. There were clearly employees inside working to prepare the store for the morning however were obviously ignoring our knocking on the front door. There were no signs or announcement saying why they were still closed when they were supposed to open at 530 am according to store hours. After waiting around for 10 mins I left and went to Panera. This isn’t about the quality of their product, it’s one of the better coffees, it’s about professionalism and courtesy. A simple sign and explanation would have been appropriate, not blatant ignoring of us customers. I’ll return, however, likely later in the morning when chances of it being opened is more likely. Shame on Starbucks. This company, being around for this long, should know better.

I have visited hundreds of Starbucks stores across states and countries. I have two major complaints with this store. 1.) SEATING. There are 4 «comfy» chairs huddled together, everything else is hard wooden chairs at tables. Almost impossible to run in here to read a book in a comfortable chair. They are always taken which is a disappointment. 2.). THISLOCATIONISSOSLOW! there are always multiple employees working but I have never seen more than one making drinks. The barista is always running around like a crazy person working so hard while everyone else stands around waiting. It is a terrible system!

I have been to this Starbucks three times and each time I have been disappointed. Today I got a soy iced white mocha and the coffee tastes bitter and burnt. I had an appointment so there was no time to take it back. The first time I purchased an iced vanilla latte and it tasted like milk only. I swear after being open for a while you would think they would know how to make a drink If you’re in the Gastonia area. Go to Target for your Starbucks it’s waaaaay better.

I think everybody and their momma was happy when Starbucks finally came to Gastonia. Hence the ridiculously long lines every morning. But I can’t resist getting their green tea lemonade to start my day off right. I’m not a coffee drinker but I absolutely love their teas. I’m also very pleased that they switched their pastry baker to La Boulange. They make delicious, flaky, buttery pastries.

At last my hometown gets a Starbucks, welcome to the new Millennium! And it’s a ‘drive thru”!

Good location right off I-85. Has a drive thru, although I always just go in. Seems like it’s quicker to go in at this location. All the Starbucks usuals. Right next to Buffalo Wild Wings. If you can believe it, there’s another Starbucks across the street in Target. Starbucks is so good they like to compete with themsleves! You so crazzzy! Love to hit happy hour during the holidays. Great mochas and hot chocolate.

SLOW! That is the only speed these people know. Store is full of employees and it takes 15 mins to get a drink. They barely look at you and forget handing you your drink or food item, it is slung on the counter for you to push through the waiters to get your stuff! parking is crap as well! I absolutely love Starbucks and only drink their coffee but this place has not got it together! Very disappointing!

Wouldn’t make a ginger ale at 9:40pm because they cleaned the machine! Well your open until 10pm so all drinks should available. Also I should have at least received a drink voucher since they wouldn’t fulfill my drink request.

This location has a drive thru but when I went a few months ago back when they first opened it was super slow! Love Starbucks but the customer service could’ve been quicker!

Brand new location and the only one around with the $ 15,000 Clover brewing machine. The staff took the time to explain the Clover to us and were quite helpful. I like the layout here because its simple and not cluttered with a bunch of racks of stuff to buy. They have a nice large meeting table near the back for groups. I do wish they would put some type of pads on the chairs because they are loud when you move them. Plus the drive thru is near the highway which is useful for you morning addicts.

I am SO happy that this location has a drive-thru! It was truly a God-send on a recent trip down south, on a early 6:15AM Tuesday morning. Thankfully when I pulled up, there was only one car in front of me. I placed my order of a sausage, cheddar & egg sandwich & a venti vanilla macchiato. Elliott(at barista/drive-thru employee) was so friendly, as we chatted while I waited for my order. He noticed I was pretty dressed up & asked why I was out & about so early dressed up… I told him I had an very important interview for a job. He says, «good luck! I’m sure you’re going to do great & land that job!» Just his nice compliment & «good luck» really made my morning. My order was perfect all around, temperature & taste. Parking is plentiful.
