pet friendly porch and awesome service! Good food! I had the steak and boyfriend had the trout. The rolls are great :) the owner is very nice and was helping out behind the bar. We came back two nights in a row. The tree is a show stopper.

Stay outside of town proper and save on parking fees! The menu has plenty of options for picky eaters, and they seem to do everything well enough. Those garlic rolls, man! How are they so good?! If nothing else, grab an order of these deliciously greasy vampire killers after a long day of hiking.

My wife and I ate dinner here our last night in Gatlinburg. Everything was very good. My wife got the pan fried trout which was excellent. I had the filet. It was very good. You can taste the smoke from the wood fired grill. Service was excellent as well. The location is away from the busy part of town which was a nice alternative. They also had live music which was a nice background for the dinner. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice night out!

Came here based on previous Unilocal reviews and was glad we did. Tried trout for the first time and wasn’t disappointed. The grilled trout was amazing! It is done on an oak fired grill, which gave it this nice, smokey flavor. The chefs open it up and fillet it served skin side down, so we didn’t get a whole fish staring up at us,(which is the way I’ve always seen trout served before). The atmosphere was also great because they have live music — acoustic guitar and singer when we were there in addition to a nice view. I highly recommend it!

By far the best place I’ve eaten in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Great setting and food. Service is pretty good and live music on this Saturday night is great!!!

I had a pretty good experience dining at Crystelle Creek in Gatlinburg recently. The positives outweigh the negatives, but I could not quite go with four stars, so you will have to picture 3.5 stars up there. First the positives. The restaurant is a family owned business located off of the East Parkway and is away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Gatlinburg. The building itself, while seeming a bit dated is pretty quaint and some tables overlook the stream located in the back. I ordered the catfish(fried) along with a baked potato and broccoli with cheese sauce. The catfish was very good. Perfectly breaded and cooked, and lightly salted. It would have been nice to have a sauce to dip it in such as remoulade, but I didn’t see that option. Anyway, the catfish I recommend. The baked potato tasted a bit stale and like it had been sitting under a heat lamp. It was not quality baked potato in my opinion. The broccoli was o. k, but a bit under-cooked. Service was prompt at Crystelle Creek even with a big crowd. Our waitress was maybe a bit too chatty, but I can’t fault her work effort. Overall. I would recommend Crystelle Creek. It can get loud when there are large amounts of people, but the food and service are above average for the Gatlinburg area.

5 star just for discovering they have their own«Crystelle Creek Brew». According to the bartender, «strings were pulled through Budweiser to get their own light beer». I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between Bud Light and this, but the tap says otherwise. And as a craft beer fanatic, I’ll take it– as a surprise unicorn in the Smokies.

Fabulous everything, this is a jewel hidden in the smokies. My sister in law had her wedding reception here, I was a little iffy when we pulled in but the food and service was amazing.

Great location and incredible food. Both the steak and seafood was delicious. Many items are homemade including the salad dressing(Balsamic was my fav), garlic butter rolls, and freshly made desserts, key lime and lemon cake was amazing. Trout was fresh and local, salmon and steak cooked just right. A must stop!

My son wanted a burger… and this place did not disappoint! We stopped by on a Thursday night. We were sat at a table by the window that overlooks the creek, very beautiful! We enjoyed the live music and the ambience is cozy and relaxing. Our waiter was Michael who was very sweet and very attentive. The special for the evening was the double steak burger(25oz steak burgers with 3 toppings of your choice and your choice of side for $ 12.99. My son, husband and I ordered the burger special. Wow! Very good! Best steak burger We’ve ever had! Drinks were always refreshed/replaced by MIchael and he was great about telling us the status of our order. I also had the house beer… the CC… comparable to Miller LIte and only $ 2. While I must say the beer was not bad… Miller Lite has more flavor! But still, not bad. The lady playing the keyboad and singing was great… played a slew of good songs… I looked around at one point and most of us were singing along! So much fun! If you are looking for a good resturant off the the ol’ strip… this is your place! The music was great, the food was great, the place is very comfortable and right on the highway/parkway out of town!

This restaurant is a breath of fresh air in the ‘burg. The food was fresh, NOT all fried, and the wait staff was outstanding. Also, the night we were there it wasn’t packed or had a 45 minute wait. My parents and I arrived around 6 on a Saturday and had the option to sit with or without live music. We opted for the quieter side and were seated immediately. We were seated at a window, which overlooked the little creek out back, and the ambiance was lovely and relaxed. I had a salad, steak, and baked potato. All of it was excellent, even if the steak was a little fatty, it was made well. The garlic rolls… I don’t even know how or what, but they are divine. You can’t eat just one. The waitstaff is truly outstanding. My dad even commented on our waitress(as in, he is starting to wonder why people are so nice in Gatlinburg). It is nice to vacation where people do not leave their manners at home.

What a great find! We had an early dinner here and we will definitely be back this week to enjoy the entertainment and another great meal. The trout was excellent. Wine prices were reasonable and the service was second to none!

My family and I vacationed at a cabin nearby. As we soon realized, there aren’t many pet friendly eating places in Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. This restaurant was a definite must for us to try as we had my toy Pomeranian with us. We were seated in an enclosed«patio» area, where my dog was welcomed. It was nice and cozy and very clean. We ate here on two occasions as the food was really delicious and the service provided by both Gina and Carol was excellent! Everything we ordered tasted amazing! It was perfect for us to eat here as there was no hassle with bringing my «fur-baby» along. It has charm and interesting that it is situated over a flowing creek. I definitely recommend trying it out!

A simply wonderful experience… where do I begin? The family and I were in town at one of the local cabins for the holidays.(The cabin folks at the office across the street from Crystelle Creek, recommended this restaurant as it was pet friendly & had delicious food). We were greeted and shown the entrance to the indoor pet friendly dining room. Our delightful waitress on Dec. 22nd shortly after they opened, was Gina. She was quite pleasant, informative and was a dear. She was even quite attentive to bring water for our dog. In a party of six we had the blackened trout, filet mignon, broccoli & cheese soup, salad, lasagne, steak, vegetable beef soup, fried mushrooms and garlic rolls. It ALL tasted delicious and cooked to perfection. Not one person in our six person picky party had any complaints! I’d recommend all the foods mentioned above. If you aren’t traveling with a pet, the rest of the restaurant is gorgeous as it sits over water and there’s a creek that runs by. There’s a large decorated tree out in the front of the place with these cascading icicle lights. The ambience is terrific in my opinion. We were impressed with the rustic appeal, good food and folks, that we returned on Christmas Eve. That afternoon our waitress was Carol, a fun and friendly lady who was just as helpful and pleasant as our first waitress. This time our party tried chicken noodle soup, burgers, feta dip with soft pita chips, and those fried mushrooms which are hand battered. Everything was delicious and again, cooked to perfection. If they can satisfy the picky folks in my party, two times in a row… that says a lot! If you’re ever in eastern Tennessee and looking for that rustic charm and good food(and if you’re traveling with pet or not), do give Crystelle Creek restaurant a try.

Came here our last night here to see the falls. It sounded super cool to eat under a waterfall. We loved the ambiance, light waterfall, real waterfall, and live music. We were the youngest ones there but didn’t mind one bit because it had a very welcoming atmosphere. The fall isn’t a huge one so it felt more like it was raining but it was still fun. They brought out a pretty table decoration and gave all the women in the room roses to take home. It was very homey and one cook even came out and showed some people the fresh pie she had just made to entice them to buy a piece. The food was just ok. It could’ve had stronger flavors. As it was, we got the pork steak(boneless) and it was succulent but tasted bland until I mixed it with the vegetable medley and fried potatoes and onions. I definitely recommend combining all those. The queso was surprisingly good. Usually it’s too strong for me but it was great here. Loved: — Fried Potatoes and Onions — Queso Liked: — Garlic Roll — Pork Steak

Pick this up and put it in my town, maybe I’d only give it 3 stars, but in the craziness of Gatlinburg, the old-family-feel is a welcome respite. As others have said, very interesting building and setting on the edge of the national park, and the live singer is an interesting touch — and she was pretty subtle in a town with little of that quality. It’s hard to tell what the food speciality is when it ranges from fish to steak to Italian, but the blackened trout was outstanding, perfect texture and not overwhelmed by the spice as it sometimes can be.

Ok ! Unilocal ! This is not a seafood restaurant ! Repeat ! Not a seafood restaurant. Fried shrimp and salmon do not make this a seafood restaurant!!! Nice people ! Food not great but not too bad ! We had the chicken Alfredo and my bride had the lasagna ! I had the fried catfish and it was ok! I was little puzzled the brought out my coleslaw way before my catfish. The sweet potato fries were ok! This is an ok restaurant I just didn’t feel the warm fuzzies here ! ! The waitress was not very personable. Entrees like steak and shrimp seemed very over priced to fit the quality ! Loved the lady at keyboard !she reaked of personality ! Go try it out ! Your experience may be different !

The best I can say about this place is that it wasn’t actually bad. The food was meh – at best – but for the price that’s not really acceptable. I got spaghetti and meat sauce,(because the steaks were $ 25 – 30) for $ 15. The spaghetti was out of a box, and the sauce was out of a can with some huge chunks of almost raw onions added, and there was so little pasta that I ran out with 2⁄3 of the sauce left. My wife had a catfish sandwich that was soggy, but tasted OK. The best thing either of us had was the side salad. The service was friendly but not very skilled. When they served my spaghetti they spilled the water runoff from the sauce, and just apologized for it, but left me to clean it up.

Nice scenery, overlooking the water on the back. Beautiful lighted tree. Nice music on the evening we visited, but very mediocre food. And that’s what counts for me. We had a huge portion of fried mushrooms as a starter which were oke, but not special. For entrees we had a steak and cheese or blue something salad and the ribs. The ribs were soft and tender but totally lacked flavor. And my, not very picky hubby, noticed. So you can imagine, the were really flat. The steak and somewhat salad was a dissapointment because of two things. There were no blue cheese crumbles! Didn’t want to neck about it in a totally empty restaurant so settled for the salad it as was. Second, the steak was oke, but the salad was freezing. It’s nice if a salad is cool(and fresh), but tomatoes a 32 °F is not a pleasant experience. And excuse any grammar and spelling mistakes. English is not my first language. And if that isn’t bad enough, my Apple device keeps changing words into ‘proper Dutch’. Yes, you’ve guessed right, my first language.

Ok. I came here after a ten mile, mostly up a steep hill, hike, based on the extremely helpful Unilocalers previous reviews. It’s all true! The skillet fried trout was cooked perfectly– skin on the bottom, so the meat was extremely moist. Vegetable medley was the perfect compliment for the trout, and the baked potato was cooked perfectly. The mixed greens salad was a win as well, it tasted super fresh. The garlic rolls were… very very very garlicky. My wife loved them, so don’t take my word for it, everyone else seems to be a fan. Last, but not least, we were seated by a huge window overlooking a cute little creek, we have a 7 month old daughter and we’re worried it might be a bit loud after reading all of the reviews mentioning the singing, but they had a very quiet area to seat us in and the atmosphere was comfortable but classy. Definitely hit this place up if you’re in Gatlinburg and looking for somewhere a bit off the beaten path with excellent food!
