This place was a disaster. I’ll start off by saying that the hosts and our waitress in particular were kind and welcoming. I appreciated them. I did not appreciate much else. We brought a pretty big party(11 people), but on a Monday morning, so there was ample seating throughout the restaurant. Still, we were seated at two separate tables, despite the fact that there were many much larger tables clearly available throughout the restaurant. Once we were seated, our sweet waitress tried her best to keep up with us, but didn’t too a great job. We had to ask for half & half so many times that our coffee was lukewarm by the time she brought it. I can’t blame her though, because another waitress was openly yelling at her in the dining area at one point. It was uncomfortable to watch, and really unprofessional. Also, our food was brought out in horrible timing. 3 of us got our orders almost immediately after we placed them, but the remaining 8 had to wait at least 10 minutes to get their food. And even when it arrived, 1 of us received the wrong order entirely. The thing I appreciated least of all, though, was the quality of the food. It was overpriced, which is expected in a tourist town, but it tasted mediocre at best as well. My meal was nearly cold when I got it, despite the fact that it was a supposed to be hot dish served in a skillet — it certainly wasn’t fresh, and I wonder how long it had been sitting around before they gave it to me. I will never visit this establishment again, and I suggest you avoid it as well.

We were on our way out of town and stopped here for a quick breakfast. But we were literally sitting at our table for 30 – 45 mins before we even got our food. Food was very similar to a Denny’s style breakfast. But way overpriced. Not the cleanest. Pretty disappointing considering we ate a much, much better breakfast at Crockett’s Breakfast Camp the day before in less time, with better service and for less money.

Well I’m not sure where to start to be honest. The food took forever to come out, when it did come out it was kinda cold. Our waitress was spastic and rushed around everywhere not paying much attention to the table will never eat here again

This place was delicious! My pancakes were nice and fluffy and warm. This place was worth the traffic it took to get there.

For some reason, my in-laws always come to this place when in Gatlinburg. First day here, where do we go, Flapjacks. We were a larger party of 6 adults and 3 kids, so I understand a little longer wait, but the wait was terrible. Our waitress was nice enough but slow. We got our drinks but then waited and waited and waited for the food. I did say we had 9 people, but we went to other restaurants without a problem. The coffee was ok, but we went empty for far too long. For the food, it was a mixed bag. The pancakes were ok, but I’ve had better in the area. The biscuits and gravy were good. Unlike another reviewers stated about the size of the sausage pieces in the gravy, I think it was pepper. It wasn’t sausage gravy, just white gravy. The potatoes were crunchy, not a fan of al dente potatoes. I will say the serving size was large for my skillet, I couldn’t even finish the meal. As for prices, pretty standard for all the pancake houses around the area, give or take a dollar.

Where do I even begin? This place was recommended to us as being«the pancakes of my life.» We were leery after the Unilocal reviews, but gave it a try because we trusted our source. There is so much bad to say, I’ll start with the one good thing… it wasn’t crowded. We got seated right away. Now this was probably due to the all the things that are wrong with it, that I’m about to list. *The coffee was TERRIBLE! It takes a lot for me to say that because I love trashy restaurant coffee. *The service was slow for being basically empty. *My bacon came out burnt. When I asked for more, she brought out softer bacon but it was cold. Then she told me they aren’t allowed to serve hot bacon because people burn their mouths.(Come on, America… quit being pansies!) *All of the rest of the food was cold. *When we told management when we were paying, he just ok. Hey man, that’s why you get terrible reviews on Unilocal. I would rather eat at McDonalds for breakfast than this place ever again. With so many other places in town with better reviews, don’t waste your time here!

To start with the restaurant is vey clean and now to the food which was excellent we had a veggie omelet and country style steak and eggs and both were on time and so good. The waitress was nice and courteous and this is by far the best breakfast we had in gatlinburg this is where to come. A great place to eat and well worth the money!!!

She says I have to more healthy I say I’ve been doing that. She orders 3 eggs over fried potatoes biscuits n gravy and sausage patties. I ordered veggie egg white omelette multigrain pancakes 2 and bowl of fresh fruit. Something wrong but ok. Food was really good. Lots of veggies in omelette spinach roasted peppers mushrooms etc really nice dish of fresh berries and banana slices blackberries bigger than a poker chip she said her stuff was good I actually gravy really tasty a little spicy waitress was functional nothing really much to say about her price is about normal for pancake house.

Good morning Unilocalers. So. today is my first full day of vacation. So, we decided to eat at a local restaurant because we heard that it was a good place to eat. Let’s start with the customer service. Everyone was very friendly. I was impressed with the level of customer service being that they were busy. Now the food. Not so good. I ordered the pancakes and sausage. The pancakes were dry and cold. I ended up sending it back and getting a waffle. The waffle was very good. I would imagine that because they were so busy it contributed to the cold food . So, if you’re looking for southern type cooked food. This would not be a place to go. If you’re looking for just your basic breakfast, something quick. Then this would be the place for you. Overall the experience was great. A great atmosphere, great customer service, and the price was not bad at all.

I would give it a 5 star review, but we spent over 50 $ for 4 people! Everything else was amazing. The food-yummy! The service-amazing! It wasn’t noisy like almost everywhere else we had been. We only waited a few minutes. I def recommend it!

Overall a decent place to eat while in Gatlinburg. The wait is not to long considering the amount of people that come here to eat.

Just ok. French Toast and Bacon was very good. Eggs, pancakes… just ok. Kinda slow, or maybe hubby was just in a hurry. Kid friendly atmosphere.

Food is just ok. I explained what I wanted for my 3 girls to the waitress. Looking at my receipt, I’m sure there was a way we could have figured out how to charge for substitutions besides an ENTIRE additional meal:/ If the kid wants best pancakes, can’t we just make the pancakes that come with the meal LOOK like best pancakes instead of bringing a whole other breakfast?! When I took one to the bathroom, she also told the other two that children have been getting bitten by copperheads. This was my kids’ first hiking experience. Directly following THIS breakfast… will not be back and we usually rent from Parkside… so it’s convenient.

Prompt, nice, and helpful service from Shelly T. Everything was tasty, but the pancakes were a little rubbery.

Ok so we stopped at this flapjacks on the way out. I though hey I like flapjacks what better way to remember gatlinburg. So then my last memory of Gatlinburg is chicken that was small and overlooked. Burned potatoes and gravy that had smaller sausage then what you would find on a deer tick. At least they did not screw up the coffee. I know I sound harsh but this place has such a great view, all it needs are some decent cooks. By the way burning something is easy. I could have burned my own food for ¼ the price. Come on Flap jacks I have recommended everyone come to your restaraunt. Now I will not be able too. I did eat at another flap jacks while I was there and recommend you drive the extra mile and go there instead.

The only redeeming quality about this place were the sticky bun pancakes. Not phenomenal but pretty good. Our waitress, Brook, greeted us and my husband and I both felt she was rude from the start. She definitely did the bare minimum she could for service. She seemed irritated that I asked for no nuts due to an allergy as well as exchanging eggs for toast. The toast came out completely black on the crust and the rest of the food was decent. I did notice that this location had the poorest reviews when I pulled the page up to write a review, so maybe go to a different location if you want to try Flapjacks and you might get better service.

Slow service. Not busy at all, and we sat 10 minutes before anyone waited on us. Food took a long time to come, again there are maybe 6 other families in the restaurant. My order was completely wrong, so I got to wait longer for my food. But…the banana pancakes were very tasty. And our little waitress was sweet and friendly. Not the best experience, but ended well.

Get the cinnamon bun pancakes. We got there right at 7am for opening, no line or waiting and restaurant to ourselves for 20 minutes. Waitstaff was older, which usually means excellent breakfast place, true here as well. Wife got cabin French toast. Nothing special, but good. I got the cinnamon bun pancakes which I highly recommend!

Its pancakes people. IHOP is the standard so if you can’t beat them then you need to reconsider. The service was good even during the busy holiday weekend and the coffee carafe is a nice bonus. Some flavored syrup would be nice as well as a changing table in the bathrooms.
