Don’t listen to the negative reviews Livingston Lanes is worth the visit.(The review about having to bowl next to kids may be accurate but come on, it’s a bowling alley…) I visited Livingston Lanes after a wedding reception since we were staying nearby. The staff was very welcoming and even offered to re-open the kitchen for us. We had planed on just grabbing a beer before bed but their enthusiasm and positive vibe led us to a unexpected blast of night bowling while drinking pitchers of #9. We choose not to eat there but if I’m ever in town I have a feeling their wings and pizza would be really good. After playing a few frames I started talking to the staff and it turns out it’s a family business. The staff just moved from NYC to help turn things around for business. I think Livingston Lanes has a lot of potential and could be a great place for Geneseo Students and Community Members alike.

When we got married over the summer, our guests stayed at the hotels next door. They agreed to open their doors for a late night private after party in their bar. They were very hospitable and it was a wonderful evening. They kept up with the large crowd we brought in and everyone had a great time.

These awesome folks were kind enough to open the doors to their bar on Sunday night, specially for a big crew of us coming back from a wedding in Rochester. There was a full bar with several taps of American lager, including my old favorite, Yuengling, and the staff was friendly and super accommodating.

These lanes(16) are in the same parking lot as the Hampton Inn. Its a normal price for a game($ 3.50) but not worth it. We were put up alongside a kids party of some sort… with no parents to be seen… even though we asked for at least a lane separation. No go due to a league that was coming in about an hour later. The shoes were ill fitting and falling apart. The balls kept getting stuck behind the pins and the manager wasn’t thrilled to get it after about the fifth time. There’s not much to do in Geneseo and its a shame the bowling alley isn’t a nicer place.
