Great food and amazing people! My favorite is the rice crispy treats with chocolate and peanut butter! The chicken salad is delicious and I can’t get enough of their chicken Parmesan. Excited to to have them cater our wedding!

I stopped by Moveable Feast earlier this week to purchase some chicken salad for a party I was having the following day. The woman who helped me was helpful but completely disgusted when I asked her if the salad was fresh. I was asking because I was there first thing in the morning and wasn’t sure if she was selling me salad left over the day before. In any event, the chicken salad was very good but at $ 13 a pound, a bit pricey.

This spot is genius! Lots of freshly made salads and sandwiches. The menu changes with the seasons. My favorite sandwich is the roast beef-that horseradish mayo is delish. Always enjoy dining in. The room is relaxing and where did they get that dinnerware?! They put your meal on a real plate and the flatware is so cool. I wonder if they would share where that can be purchased?! I get here early for lunch because this place gets real busy and dining room full. There’s a small number of retail goods to check out. Can’t wait for my next day off in Geneva.

Delicious! They have a «deli case» with their daily offerings in it. I choose the«Pick 3» salad and all of them wear super fresh and very tasty. Seating might be limited at times but was fine when we went in(just before lunch). All of their desserts looked amazing but I tried the salty oatmeal chocolate chip and it was pretty much heaven. So glad I found out about this place, what a gem!

I initially discovered Movable Feast when a family member of mine had a medical emergency. I generally eat organic, local, and it is expensive and time consuming. Under pressure, I didn’t have prep time to create a variety of healthy, appealing food, while also satisfying my husband’s sweet tooth. So, I ran to this shop. I bought a week’s worth of prepped food. I had a nice variety of interesting food choices, and a box full of sweets for my husband(there is also a bakery next door). My husband loves the turkey chili, turkey meatballs, and fairy cookies in particular. I love the broccoli salad(thank you, no bacon!), any of her pork/bean/sweet potato stuffed items, and a carrot/farro/kale/fava soup. But, there is always something new to try. I have gone for the past six weeks in a row. It takes me an hour total, I spend between $ 200 to $ 250 at most(what I would spend generally at regular grocery stores), and I don’t have to cook at all. I love it. More importantly, Movable Feast has helped me shift into an autoimmune diet of mostly juicing, and organic raw foods if necessary. The downside is the place is very small, and I am not quite sure if they will be prepared to handle my large order when I come in. I am also unsure whether the owner appreciates the«volume» of my business, since most people are coming in for a quick lunch. As a courtesy, I try to get there before the noon time rush. Movable Feast also has a daily menu of their case items online, but it is frustrating that I have arrived at the shop several times before any page updates have been made for the day. There is also a freezer, where soups and meals-to-go have been frozen. You might find a gem in there you missed from the day before! All things considered, Movable Feast is really a 5 for me, in that the company services all my dietary needs well. But, I have given it a 4, due to the fact that I’m unsure if the owner pictured servicing a customer like me. 12÷12÷15 Today, Wendy, the store manager asked me if I had posted the review above. She pleasantly assured me that all the food is first come, first serve, and they don’t mind at all if I buy in bulk. She was even nice enough to offer to place things aside for me if I call in to the shop. So, Movable Feast has definitely garnered a five star rating in my opinion. I’d also like to add that there have been a handful of crusted desserts for the holiday season, and the crust is simplistic and phenomenal, just like it should be! I am so looking forward to what the spring and summer harvests will bring to the menu! Stop in to eat a meal, or just come to pick up some food for the week, no matter what you do, I highly recommend you check out the Movable Feast!

Having relocated to the dreaded burbs from the comfort of the city where gourmet grocery stores are the norm, I was beyond excited to have stumbled upon this place! There are times when I do not want to cook and I love that I can stop here and pick up healthy, amazing quality meals to go. Within one week, I dropped around $ 200 and I have no qualms about it because the prices are very similar to Whole Foods and with the amount of food that you receive, it easily provides my boyfriend and I with a weeks worth of gourmet meals. The turkey meatballs w/onion jam is going to be a constant favorite as well as the fairy tale cookies. Their salads are very good and I rave highly on their soups, especially the caramelized cauliflower soup. Moveable Feasts has made my transition a lot more doable and I thank you. It’s just disappointing that this is the only place that offers this type of fare and that there is not a single gourmet grocery store in this area.

Moovable Feast is one of my favorite places to get a quick, delicious and healthy meal. The dinning atmosphere is very relaxing and pleasent. If you have not been to Moovable in the past year you are in for a nice surprise. It underwent a change in ownership and is now better than ever. They now have many more choices of food on a daily basis. A few favorites of mine are the smoked salmon, turkey meatballs, kale salad, and my six year old son loves their chicken, cookies and fruit. Great place!! Delicious! Great service!

Moveable Feast is our go to place for a special meal out. It is expensive but you are getting really high quality food so it makes sense. We have never been disappointed with the food! The brownies are AMAZING and truly you can’t go wrong with any of the specialty desserts! We only wish that they were open later for dinner and on Mondays. We always seem to want to go here on a Monday and they’re closed. HIGHLY recommend it!!!

Bought a tub of salty oatmeal cookie dough by accident-thought I grabbed the Ice cream to save a trip to Kimmers. Dough was hard & dry would have been impossible to scoop them out for cookies

I have been a Moveable Feast customer since they opened. I’ve used their catering services, their take-out, and I stop for lunch now and then. Their food is usually delicious, but I’ve had a few disappointments. I enjoy their meals, but the last few lunches weren’t that good and I didn’t get a lot of food. Plus, for a lunch, I spent way too much money.(I paid over 20.00 for a small piece of salmon with roasted veges.) The people who work there are very friendly, but it’s busy in the middle of the day, and you can expect to wait to be served. A number system would be nice so diners could be waited on in order of arrival. In short, I’m done going to lunch there. I would definitely consider their catering services, though.

picked up carry-out for dinner the other day — fresh ingredients, on-spot flavors. price is a little higher-end. their infamous brownies really are deeply fudgy(and that’s a very good thing, even for my mom who doesn’t like anything too sweet).

I have eaten there frequently over the past five years. The food is always fresh and tasty. I like the Reno, but have been very disappointed with their service the past two or three times I have been there.

Amazing food, beautiful décor! The salad trio was outstanding! Smoked Salmon pasta salad, spicy pecan sweet potato salad & broccoli slaw. Enjoyed some dessert as well! Great spot to stop in for lunch when shopping in Geneva! Ash & the whole staff at Moveable Feast were precessional & super friendly!!!

I had never visited Moveable Feast’s storefront, I was a mail order customer. Their brownies are legendary and I had ordered them as gifts for several friends around the country. When I realized how close I was to their store I HAD to stop in. Recently remodeled, Moveable feast is more of a gourmet food shop/café than just a bakery. We stopped in specifically for the brownies, but they also sell and several savory foods. They also have recently started carrying Lillie’s Q BBQ sauces — which was cool to see since I love that place. Although I was tempted by many of their baked good, and some really good looking quesadillas/guacamole — I just bought 2 brownies… Holy Moly are they good. Chocolatey, moist yummy goodness — but not too sweet. Should you choose, you can also purchase brownies in a 1lb tray — getting a discount if you buy too. The café is really cute — just like Geneva. Can’t wait to go back!

Greeted by a very pleasant young lady that gave us a small tour. You can buy fresh frozen foods from the freezer, or go into the deli room and buy salads and prepared foods to take home, or eat in their small but quaint dining room. The food is fresh and the salads healthy. We loved the turkey chili and I took some home. The gluten free desserts were excellent also. A bit pricey but not over the top for what you are getting. It is a nice place to go for lunch and a walk around town!

I love the food at Moveable Feast. They have a large assortment of unique deli food. I always get a salad sampler and have enjoyed most everything, although, not being a fan of cilantro, I wish they would list it with the other ingredients. The baked good are a highlight. Oprah once recommended their brownies on her show, as one of the best she’s ever tasted, but didn’t give them permission to use her name as an advertisement. The cookies with icing are fabulous! The behind the counter service is iffy. Sometimes it moves along, but I’ve had to wait more than once when no one else is in line. They seem to lose track of whose been served from time to time. Still well worth it.

Movable Feast is is under new management and is undergoing a interior design change. The look will be clean and modern with relocated dining room full of windows and light. The focus is still on the great food that can be purchased for take out as well. Primarily a lunch spot with a great selection of salads and home baked treats it is a favourite in Geneva. They are now open in the morning with a few coffee and breakfast items.

Solid prepared food options with a homemade appeal. But very pricey. $ 37 for their whole ham and cheese quiche(frozen). Seriously? No quiche is worth that.

No less than 4 ½ stars for me. The brownie’s they sell are exactly what the name implies– Deeply Fudgey Brownies. I also bough the 7 layer cookie– also VERY solid. As for the deserts, from what I had, I was pleased. What I wasn’t expecting was to have some deli stuff there as well(now I didn’t get to try them though but the food did look good). I went later in the day(about 30 minutes before closing) so the deli stuff was probably gone. They also sell cookbooks, other cheeses, chocolates. In other words, the typical gourmet fare. They even mentioned that they do catering but need about a week in advance to do it. Among things that I was told they do is whole hog. Considering that they do have a strong emphasis on being local(when possible) and organic, I hope to crash a hog roast they do. Maybe they should take a page from Uncle Bub’s and do a special– once a week or month(when it comes to stuff like whole hog, I better know who is cooking it or at least know how it tastes before I would buy one). The staff were very friendly during my visit. VERY thankful for the poor woman who had to give me directions after getting side tracked. The food isn’t cheap but if you want that splurge, this can be a good place to go. Once you get on Route 31(S Batavia Ave), you’ll go west on 3rd Street(use the Kane County Clerk & Recorder Offices as your landmarks facing east). Drive about 1⁄3 of a mile to Franklin St(Geneva Lutheran Church will be another landmark of use to you) and turn south. If you want to park elsewhere you can and walk on foot. From the 3rd St/Franklin Ave intersection, it will be towards the middle of the block and on the west side of the street. If you don’t live near here, this is a destination visit.

Imagine a gourmet general store and you’ll get the idea of what Moveable Feast is like. Despite the Hemingway name(what’s next, «For Whom The Bell Tolls Café»? At least it was food-oriented, so I’ll let it slide…) I checked it out. Tucked into an old house off the main drag of Third Street(it’s on Franklin, west of Third about a block), the front room of the shop is all gourmet goodies(Stonewall Kitchen preserves, fancy candies, assorted cookbooks, a cooler full of select — and $$$ — cheeses, etc.) A step into the next room takes you into the part where you can get food to eat there or to go(salads, baked goods, etc.) The Deeply Fudgy Brownie was almost too fudgy, if that’s possibly a complaint. I’m not sure I’ve ever had to go at a brownie in more than one shift before, but I couldn’t finish this one in one take. The girls behind the food counter were nice; the lady at the counter in the«shop» was a little scattered. This is one of those places that will become a pricey little indulgence for me whenever I’m in Geneva.
