Great staff and stylish frames.

Spex — Geneva is terrific in every respect. Quality is a given. What really stands out at Spex is the great customer service. I worked with three people and they were all incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. And little touches make a difference. For example they offer free gourmet coffee — you don’t get that at most optical shops. Yes, the prices can reach insane levels, but you don’t have to spend an arm and two legs because Spex has many reasonably priced frames that still look awesome. All of their frames are very distinctive; not what you’re going to find anywhere else, at least this far west.

Spex employees are personable, flexible and professional. Their equipment is state of the art and I urge you to try them out next time you need an eye exam. They are top notch.

Over a year later as I write an update to Spex, I must say that I really do enjoy my eye appointments there. Dr. Emily Potts is very kind and is very good at communicating everything with you from start to finish. Her assistant, Nikki is really fun and friendly. Very easy to talk to and she has a very artistic eye for detail, so I totally feel confident in her opinions when it comes to frames that look good on me and really help compliment who I am. The only reason I give it 4 stars and not a full 5 is because it is very expensive and I just feel that if you’re going to charge so much for such awesome frames, the frames should include springs, and almost none of their frames are spring loaded. I have to get both of my frames adjusted there every once in a while, but the customer service is very good there and they always adjust and clean my glasses for me when I come in. That is really what keeps me coming back.

Wow! They have exceeded all my expectations. The staff and Doctors here are excellent. They remember us when we walk in and take such good care of us. Above and beyond customer care, Thank you! :)

Good selection of high end glasses. Very nice location in downtown Geneva. Friendly and knowledgeable staff (Nikki especially)! The DO was thorough and attentive with the eye exam. I would highly recommend it and would go there again!

I was looking to replace my nice but conservative/​professional glasses. I wanted something different. I wanted something that reflected more of my personality and creativity. I wanted a pair of glasses that would leave a bit of statement but does not draw attention away from me. I wanted the style but not the name tag. After doing some research, I decided to Spex a try. Spex completely delivered on all ends but it was the entire shopping experience that won me over. Jasmine, the store manager, was certainly professional and knowledgeable but it was her relaxed and fun personality that made my shopping experience a joy. She did not have to sell me anything. I sold myself. As a former sales professional, I truly enjoy and respect the treatment I received. The end result? I love my new glasses and Spex has a «client», not a customer.

My family of five are patients at Spex in Geneva. The entire staff is wonderful from booking an appointment, working through insurance coverage and the fun part of frame shopping! I especially like working with Boyce. He has an eye for finding great trendy frames that best accentuate one’s features. Dr. Potts is excellent, especially with children. I highly recommend Spex Geneva if you are seeking an optical shop with a cool selection of designer frames and above and beyond customer service.
