My boyfriend and I came in to Hello Sweetie for lunch. The owner was the only one working that day because all of his help had backed out on him. He was working SO hard and was very apologetic of how much time it was taking to get our food. He even offered us free drinks and desserts! Excellent service and excellent food! I recommend the brisket!

We stopped in a hello sweeties on a trip to the area to look around. We are possibly relocating to the area. We are originally from PA so I’m not a problem at bbq. However my husband and I both had the brisket it was amazing especially once you add their homemade relish which should so good I just ate it plain. I don’t usually eat relish at all but this was delicious. The potatoe salad and Mac and cheese were also both very good and homemade. if we were to relocate I will definitely be frequenting this place it is a small hidden gem

I wanted to really like this place, but sadly I didn’t. My fiancé and I both ordered baked potatoes. I got mine with brisket and he got his with pulled pork. I thought the brisket was ok, nothing special though. The potato was really undercooked for a baked potato, and my food was kind of cold by the time it came out. My fiancé also ordered no cheese on his but with sour cream. His potato had a lot of cheese on it with no sour cream, so that was disappointing. He also said he did not like the pulled pork at all, and that there was no decent piece of pork on his potato. We do not think we will be back.

Originally stopped by to see about their BBQ offerings… good honest brisket! I’ve been back several times for more! While I have not been there for their sweets, the brisket was great. It’s made out back in the smoker and adds a great flavor. The only down-side would be the cramped quarters.

Brisket and sausage plate was fantastic! The beans were very tasty as well. A great meal! Definitely coming back.

Not being from Georgetown, we were looking for a local place to eat. It looks like a hole in the wall, but excellent barbeque. We had pulled pork and the susage. Pulled pork was wonderful, sausage was just a bit overcooked for my taste. Not much inside seating room, I am sure they do a lot of take out bisiness. Don’t miss the deserts either, apple pie a la mode was great.

I don’t usually write Unilocal reviews. I just had to with this one. Terrible food. The brisket was so dry it kind of chalked up in my mouth. The beans tasted like cheap chili. The coleslaw was very off, looked and tasted old. Everyone kept telling me how wonderful this little hole in the wall is. Now I’m left un satisfied and out 40 $

I’ve been meaning to try this place based on the great Unilocal reviews for quite some time and finally made it today to give it a try. We were greeted with the«Hello sweetie» that others have mentioned. In addition to the friendly hello the customer service is fantastic. They have a combo with a sandwich, 2 sides, and a drink which I basically ordered individually and I believe they rung me up at the combo price which I really appreciate. Yes it is only a dollar or 2 savings, but it shows the ethics and willingness to charge you a fair price even when you don’t order the items as a «combo». Kudos to «Hello Sweetie» for doing business the right way. Now on to the food. We tried a pulled pork sandwich, a brisket sandwich, fried cabbage, and potato salad. Both the brisket and pulled pork were delicious. They really hit the spot. The potato salad was creamy with just the right amount of mayo and mustard. No raw chunks of potato like some potato salads. The fried cabbage was possibly my favorite item, not to say the other items weren’t great, I just found the fried cabbage to be unique and something I’ll order every time I come. It had bits of brisket in it and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The prices here are very reasonable, the service is great, overall no complaints and I’ll be back for sure!

I’m rating this place a 4 but I don’t think I will be going back. I think having a favorite BBQ place in Texas is like your favorite Chinese food place in NY. The food was good but not my favorite, so I’ll stick to the place I normally go. Their mac and cheese is good, the owner is friendly, and the restaurant was clean. Give it a try, the meat has a very strong smoked flavor, not my cup of tea, but I know that’s the general idea of BBQ… this is went I rated it a 4 but won’t be returning.

A hidden gem… my wife and I ordered the brisket sandwich with two sides: the home made mac and cheese and the potato salad… I just have to say. OMG. the best brisket sandwich I have ever had. We highly recommend this place…

Never been called sweetie by another grown man before, but I kind of liked it:) the food is amazing! The owner is friendly and clearly loves people!!! Go to this place and be blessed!!! The wife and I got pulled pork sandwiches with the delicious relish they make. It was amazing. My boys got a chicken sandwich that my son called the best sandwich ever! I got a chocolate shake for desert and they all got a cookie. I cannot say enough good things about this place it was worth a special trip from Round Rock and one we will make again soon!!! Highly recommend this place!

The people who previously reviewed must’ve gotten paid for lying on their review. The food was disgusting. Everything was microwaved. The brisket was not good, sides were crappy, and the potato was soggy. If you loooove some microwave BBQ then this is the spot for you. The server/cashier/cook was nice but that’s it. Never again! I’ll stick to Donns.

Hello Sweetie is a true hometown small establishment with all of the kindness, hospitality, and charm that I’ve come to cherish in my last five years as a Texas resident. And their barbecue is pretty decent, too. The barbecue smells from the parking lot were heavenly! We came in today and parked right up front. The small storefront is pretty small — it appears to house half a suite in a small strip mall on Austin Avenue with a phone store. Inside it has two or three tables, and a small patio with two or three tables outside. Giant chalk boards line the top of the right wall with an almost overwhelming amount of combos, plates, and specials. They basically offered brisket, pulled pork, sausage, and chicken. Both my friend and I chose to order the pulled pork and sausage plate, with two sides. I chose the barbecue beans and potato salad, while my friend opted for the green beans and the coleslaw. We also received drinks with our meals,(a bottled water and an un-sweet iced tea). We sat down at one of the wire tables, which were more than comfortable in the small space. We watched a lot of people coming in and getting to-go orders. It was a steady stream, which was cool. I love to see great support for small town locally owned places. The Owner came out and asked us if we wanted pickles or onions and we said yes. He brought out our plates with the accompaniments. The portions were huge for the price. I was a bit surprised that the pulled pork, instead of being without sauce, was slathered in sauce. And while it was good, I wouldn’t call it pulled pork. I would call it chopped pork in barbecue sauce. The sauce had a nice building spice to it that wasn’t overpowering, and a smoky, slightly vinegar finish that was fantastic. The sausage was pretty decent as well. Moist, flavorful, nice and smoky. We both loved our sides. My potato salad was very well done. Nice occasional chunks of potatoes that were not horribly intrusive to the salad, really nicely creamy and balanced. Not over salted but tons of nice herb flavors. really fantastic. My beans were in the same barbecue sauce, but much more smoky than the pulled pork. They were very, very good. My friend said that her green beans were very well seasoned and that her coleslaw had the perfect balance between creaminess and a light vinegar — whereas a lot of coleslaw lean too far in either direction. We were highly content with our meals at Hello Sweetie and loved the atmosphere. The portions were huge for the price, and we left incredibly satisfied. The Owner was very kind, and a pleasure to interact with. I definitely want to come back to try the brisket. Four stars for being fantastic!

Wonder Woman and I are headed to San Antonino via some Texas Wineries and found this little«dive» for lunch. I had the baked potato with brisket and cheese. The brisket Was sauced with just the right amount of sweetness was personable and quick. I asked for an extra piece of brisket and tasted a good slice of beef with a wonder smoke ring. If I lived here I would be a regular!

This bbq joint is truly the best kind of hidden gem I have ever been lucky enough to come across. Vanessa is the most amazing host. She was so friendly and inviting to my family and I. We left with full stomachs feeling like family there. She even gave us some end pieces of bbq to feed our eager puppies waiting outside. We had the sausage and the sliced brisket, and despite the quaint size of the place itself, the food delivered MAJOR taste. Bbq sauce is traditional and full of flavor. Every single one of the sides were extremely tasty. I can guarantee this will be some of the best bbq you will ever have. It’s definitely a must try! We will certainly be back as soon as possible.

I was pretty disappointed with Hey Sweetie. The brisket was very fatty. I asked for outside burnt ends and got inside with no burnt ends. Plus the servings were kinda skimpy. The Jalapeño sausage was fair. The potato salad was great. Cole slaw was ok. The mac n cheese was not very good. I saw the clerk microwaved something, not sure what, but I think it was the mac n cheese. Ill say the young lady was very nice and helpful. I’ll try once more to see if it was a bad night.

Strange that living in the heart of BBQ it’s hard to find really good BBQ. Unilocal never fails. We wanted to break away from the norm of «good BBQ,» and ventured over to Georgetown to try Hello Sweetie. We had the Combo plate(brisket and sausage), beans, and slaw. All I can say is «wow.» I loved the chopped slaw(not too sweet but lots of flavor). The BBQ beans were so good. The brisket was amazingly tender and the sausage was some of the best I have had in the area. The owner is so nice and has a very awesome story. You should read the clippings when you stop by. Everyone is so friendly and really works hard to make sure people enjoy their food and their visit. This is our new place for BBQ — you should be over there right now eating. Now go!

Unilocalers led us here and we’re grateful, they have very good food. The two meat and two side brisket and jalapeño sausage plate was very tasty, i enjoyed the hot BBQ sauce. The brisket had good smoke and was tender, the jalapeño sausage had some nice bite and even more when dipped into the house hot ‘q sauce. The beans were top notch and the house made tater salad rocked. As good as all these were, and that includes my wife’s loaded chopped brisket tater, the cookies and cream milk shake was the best i’ve ever had, anywhere!!! The people that own this place are very sociable and took great care of us.

The proprietor welcomes every patron when they walk in with a jovial ‘Hello Sweetie!” — even the guys! I like this place already! The eatery is super easy to miss — a small sign compared to the huge MetroPCS one next door, so drive slow or you’ll miss it. It is a very small restaurant with a few tables inside, a few more outside on a deck in front of the newly crafted smokehouse. Menu on the wall, order at the counter please. Fairly new to Q(has only been doing it for a little over a year; used to only serve ice cream and desserts), job well done so far sir! So, I had perused a couple of other reviews and the husband and I decided it would be best to get one pulled pork and one brisket sandwich so we could share — sample both(~6 bucks a sandi). Decided to make one a «combo» — for just $ 3 more it included potato salad, beans, a drink of choice, AND a cookie! Quite the bargain! THEFOOD: Pulled pork sandwich: Large, moist, yum. Brisket sandwich: Ditto. Messy to be eat, but who cares. Potato salad: Good texture, creamy. A-OK Beans: Scratch made, slightly spicy, al dente. Good. Oatmeal raisin cookie: Soft, sweet. Soda: Big Red… didn’t know they still made BR — great w/BBQ. House made relish a.k.a. REAL-ISH: Put it on everything… and lots of it… peppers, pickles, onions… I don’t know. Just gotta have it! OVERALL: I have not met a nicer business owner in a long time. He is clearly passionate about fine tuning his new Q craft and catering to all of his customers needs. Also, great place for kiddos! Still has the Blue Bell, kids combo about 3 bucks, and there’s a wheel they can spin when they come in after they tell chef a nice thing they did for their parents today. Cute. Recommend.
