Bad service and even worse pizza. The staff are lazy and completely oblivious. We won’t be returning.

Terrible service. Saturday afternoon and they are out of salads. Understaffed. Once we did get food, however, it was good.

Never. Again. I’ve told myself this 2 times since recent visits and after going in recently for the same disappointing experience I swear to never set foot in here again. Here’s why: Service — terrible. I’ve never been in here when it was packed and there are ALWAYS multiple employees crowded around the end of the bar chatting and doing nothing. Yet I sit at the bar with my friends and we wait, and wait, and wait. And then some random person shows up that has zero social skills and pours us a beer… that costs $ 6.50!!! A pint of beer at a pizza joint, $ 6.50. Insanity. Oh, don’t mention that the special that night is a pitcher for $ 12, but nobody told us about that… time for the check, takes forever to show up, delivered without a pen. Can I get a pen? Oh, ok. Shows up later with pen… doesn’t work. Can i get another one? Literally 10 minutes later shows up with a pen. And we’re sitting at the BAR!!! Employees — I don’t care what anyone says, first impressions matter. The employees don’t help in that regard. They look unkempt and have a «don’t give a shit» attitude about them. Atmosphere — they sell beer and pizza, how the hell does that not bring people in. There’s never anybody here, that should tell you something. Food — ok at best. Last two times in i just had a beer while my friends ate. Mainly because the kitchen looks like a rathole and the guys working there don’t look like they really care about being sanitary. The times I have had the food it was passable at best. I mean, it’s pizza right, should not be that hard to mess up. But it’s not memorable and pair it with the downright shitty service there’s no reason to eat here. Do yourself a favor, go to 600 degrees on the square, this place is terrible. The owners should be ashamed.

The food here is amazing, especially the pizza. However the customer services is terrible and delivery slow or non existant. Several times we were told there was no driver or it would be an hour and a half until there was a driver. Also every time we ask for extra sauce or extra cheese they do not comply… very frustrating. I am sure you are asking yourself if these issues are apparent why do we keep ordering? Well the pizza is that good! The management is less than welcoming and even less open to fix their mistakes. Again great great pizza

We have tried and tried to enjoy this place. The beer is good but the food is not. The staff asked us three times if everything was«cool». If cool means waiting 20 minutes for another person to take our order and then waiting 30 minutes to get that small order, then yes it’s cool. Our waitress took our drink order and then ignored us. Another server came and took our order. 10 minutes later our first server came to take our food order. The manager was testing the temp of the pizzas that were sitting on the pass by physically putting her whole hand on the pizza, not just a finger, but her hand. We had the pleasure of viewing that through their kitchen window. She tested the temp of our pizza and about 2 minutes later we saw her blow her nose, then test someone else’s pizza. Oh my god… Luckily, my wife got an XL slice of pizza that had clearly been left over from lunch. They got clever and almost melted some cheese on top of it along with the green peppers we paid extra for. It resulted in a soggy on the bottom but still stale experience. Gross. Our family has an Olive Garden list. It’s restaurants that we will never return to no matter what. Olive Garden started that and now Manhattan Pie has joined the list. I try and support local business but I can support this one any longer. If you like this place, you’ve had a better experience than us. We have had one or two good nights here, but almost every time it’s been bad. Good luck to the place and hopefully they make some changes. You’ve got to fix the problems before adding new stress. A business is a bridge… if you don’t have a strong foundation it will most certainly fail and kill people.

Their menu keeps shrinking, but they still have some of the best variety of high quality toppings. The house salad and garlic knots are a great starter. Their pizza is excellent, and there are many opportunities to try something new. The Bambino, New Yorker and Godfather pizzas are very good. The calzone is huge. I wish they would get rid of that terrible Gold Peak fake tea. Go there soon before the menu shrinks again!

We have been coming here well before they moved. I am from New York and was so happy to find a pizza place that was so close to being like real New York pizza. We have ordered takeout not that long ago with no issues. We decided to stop in and have lunch. We ordered pizza and a hero. The place looks tired and beat up. Booths have torn seats, and are falling apart with exposed nails. Tables have half peeled decals of logo and paint chipped away in areas.(These are easy fixes that wouldn’t cost much) Not to mention the gnats we had to keep fanning away. But that wasn’t the worst part! The pizza well, one slice looks like the size of two back home. I think the grocery store frozen would be better. Too thin, dry, had enough sauce for color. Basically substance of cardboard. No where near the quality we have had before. Oh the hero was a disaster, soggy, sauce was thick after bread sopped up oil, spice over powered the taste of the meatballs. Gordon Ramsey would have a fit! The drinks had too much ice, 4 to 5 sips and your done. Very Disappointed, On the fence about going back. Bottom line: I understand that Gary and Darryl opened a new catering company, and plan on expanding, but if you don’t take care of where you started, you name will go down with it. Would like to see care put back into the business. Businesses don’t run by themselves. Not hating just want to see better.

Called over the phone for a delivery they said it would be about 45 minutes. After an hour we called back and they said the delivery guy just left and should be at the house shortly. After another hour we called back and they said the delivery guy just got back to Manhattan pie after his deliveries but we never got our food so we finally just cancelled the order.

Ew this place was gross. Have these people ever even been to Manhattan??? Waste of money. I’m finding every place with a NY association in their name is NOT anything close. I need a true NY by the slice place. None of this nonsense pizza with different pie sizes and toppings. Learn how to make a basic pie is step 1. Every place has subs and hamburgers and wings. C’mon where are my true Italians at? I want pasta e fagioli. I miss my NY Italian food !! :(

Worst looking, worst tasting, and most expensive pizza. Couldn’t see the cheese or the Italian sausage. The mgr. Said it was made right. The sausage looked like burnt pepper flakes. I brought it back and had to argue for a refund. For $ 23 for a large, I would like to be able to identify what is on it.

I got the Greek Myth and my boyfriend got the Great Bambino. Both pizzas were very good. The Greek had tasty lamb and really yummy basil pesto sauce. The Great Bambino had great meat and light on the sauce. Both had a nice thin crust and fresh toppings. But it was a long wait for our food. We also had honey BBQ wings and garlic parmesan wings. The flavor was good but the wings themselves were mediocre and a little over cooked. Our waitress was very nice but there was also a long wait in between her visits.

They need to work on their culinary skills in this place. This place has one of the worst pizza’s I have ever tasted in history. One bite and I was done. They put way too much corn meal in the pizza dough and the pizza sauce is extremely bitter. Mozzarella cheese should not be gritty and taste frozen. I can’t believe this place is still in business… serving pizza like that is an abomination to the pizza Gods. I was born and raised in Brooklyn NY and must I say there is Absolutely nothing In this restaurant that is gourmet or New York style. Don’t even get me started with the buffalo chicken rolls. I will never eat here again!!! nausea is all this place gave me.

I can’t believe I forgot to review this place. The Mr and I are always on a quest to find great pizza that can come close to authentic NY style pizza. So, we heard that this place serves HUGE slices and has amazing cheesecake. Off we went. First of all, the pizza is good. But let’s be honest the slices are not huge. They are your average sized pie pieces. The cheesecake is okay. I’m a fan of Junior’s so this place didn’t stand a chance in that department. They do have a great deal on their monster pizza which we actually ordered for our superbowl get together. Now THAT was something to brag about. Feeds at least ten people and it was tasty.

I gave this place one star for the sweet waitress that was trying to use her bubbly personality to distract us from the hour wait for our food!!! which we never even received! We were excited to try this place out. This is georgetown after all and to see a place called Manhattans pie company, you kinda jump at the chance. What a fricken let down! My family and I show up around 5:30 pm on Friday. The place had 2 tables with customers and about 5 customers at the bar having beers. My 11 year old and my boyfriend were starving so seeing that there was few people in the place we were stoked to be eating quickly. The menu looked great and like I said, the waitress was nice and smiley. We ordered cheese sticks for appetizer, a medium pizza, and calzone with salad. Our cheese sticks came first… After 32 minutes!!! We were famished and scarfed them down in 2 minutes…(they were the frozen kind. Not fresh, and the marinara sauce was ice cold) strike 1 We noticed while waiting for out other menu items, other customers starting to pile in. After waiting another 20 minutes for our food to come out we noticed the customers coming in after us were being served. I’m not talking salads here people. I’m talking huge pizzas, calzones and pastas!!! Where the frick is our food??? we waited 30 minutes for our app and now we gotta wait 30 minutes for our food??? We complained to the waitress who assured us our food would be out in 30 seconds and they were short staffed! The neighboring table said how long they had to wait once for their meal as well. After waiting another 5 minutes for our waitress to return we had enough and walked out. We paid for the beers but that’s about it! Over all time from start to finish was an hour and 10 minutes! For 2 beers and 6 frozen cheese sticks… Waste of time and big let down! Wont be back. There are way too many other restaurants that serve frozen food With half the wait time. John Taffer would be pissed.

Well… Where do I start… Service — where? I think I must have missed it… Oh was it the spaced out high school student that couldn’t handle a drink order? The guy was just not all there and made attempts at not writing our order and then had to come back and ask about it twice. And we ordered an appetizer, to which he asked, «do you want that before or with the meal?» 0.0 Really? Food was sub par. It’s a sham of a representation of New York style pizza. The dough lacks form and they attempt to make up for it by making it very airy — pizza fanatics will know what I mean. The cop out by also lining the bottom of the pizza with semolina flour(the small yellow granules) which means they are not monitoring the pizza as they should. This is the same reason you find this type of flour on the bottom of frozen pizza — any idiot could cook it. We kept it simple, half cheese, half pepperoni. Cheap ingredients, veeeeeery cheap. They over did it on the cheese and pepperoni and we ended up with some 12 pieces of soggy pizza. Here’s a tip, stick to the normal 8 slices, less seeping of the sauce under the pizza, reducing your already sub par crust to a mess. ANDLETTHETHINGBREATHBEFORECUTTINGIT! We also ordered the Greek salad and fried pickles. The house dressing is made with ill ratios and they put it all on tiny pizza pans. You ever eaten off metal using a metal utensil? Enough said. Pickles actually were good. We asked for doggy bags and the check. Waiter took forever to come back with the check and we ended up having to take the check to the counter since our waiter couldn’t seem to make it back to pick it up. $ 40 wasted in my opinion. Get better wait staff and stop cutting costs on your pizza by using cheap ingredients.

Manhattan serves endless wings on Saturday & Sunday for $ 13.99. The wings were meh. Needs more sauce. They were lukewarm too. I like them piping hot. I highly recommend their pizza, but the wings were not impressive this time.
