I loved the Nuts and Berries salad with amazing home made bread. My husband had a delicious turkey BLAT. Great service. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the scenery

Food is good. Nothing fantastic, but the menu has lots of options and they do breakfast all day, too. Service was underwhelming. We were waiting a LONG time for our food and the waitress disappeared. My wife ordered a bagel sandwich without cheese and, well, it had the cheese. Also, really don’t like that every sitting has two glasses, one for water and one for coffee… such a waste. None of us had coffee… they had to wash 8 glasses(there were 5 of us). At least, I hope they cleaned them all… OH, but one real complaint I have is that despite getting bad service, we were charged an 18% gratuity on our bill. THEREWEREFIVEOFUS. I’ve never had this happen before… that’s usually for large parties. It was absurd I was being force to pay 18% tip. Isn’t the point of a tip a reflection of the service? This part seems like a con and I’m not sure what the restaurant policy is.

Stopped in for brunch after hiking the old railroad tunnel under Kelso mountain. Had two orders of eggs Benedict, two coffees, one bloody Mary, two mimosas and a apple cinnamon roll. The food, service and outdoor seating was fabulous! $ 48

Meh, it’s ok. I’m glad they had turkey sausage and vegetarian options but the food was not really that good. My husbands meal can with slices of canned peaches on the side instead of fresh fruit. Never seen that one before. I had scrambled eggs, bacon and a biscuit with gravy. It was fine but not anything exciting. My biggest issue is how small the coffee cups are. Nothing more annoying than a tiny, two drink, coffee cup when you settle in for a big weekend breakfast. It was refilled quickly but a bigger cup would have been much appreciated.

We have gone to The Happy Cooker several times with the first visit being from a reference from a friend and co-worker. We love the drive from Denver and the quaint little restaurant is clean and cozy. If you’re lookng for up-scale dining, don’t come here BUT if you’re looking for a casual, good brunch spot. this is the place. Homemade bread, soups, breakfast, etc. Then walk the little town of Georgetown and relax.

Great little gem in this pretty mountain village — yummy waffles — crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The staff was very friendly and had a beautiful view out the window. They also have homemade soups, breads, pies and cobblers!

The Happy Cooker was a great surprise! It’s a small little building hidden in the quaint, beautiful town in Georgetown. It has great, fresh food and is worth the stop. The people are kind and friendly. I highly recommend the stop!

I got the smoked salmon eggs Benedict and it was excellent. Wife had huevos rancheros and it was also great. Nice, quiet little restaurant. I would highly recommend.

The only reason I give such a low rating is because of how unbelievably rude our waitress was to us. She was an older thin blonde-ish lady, I don’t remember her name, but I’ve never in my life been treated this way by anyone in a customer service job. When she first approached, she seemed pleasant enough. My friend and I were in a very important discussion and were not ready to order right away so we told her three times we were not ready to please give us some time. She seemed annoyed by this. The food took a long time to come. My friend made eye contact with her three times and raised her hand trying to get a drink refill. She walked past our table with no eye contact and barely mumbled«I’ll be with you in a minute». She then proceeded to help the table next to us. By the time we left she wouldn’t make eye contact with us or speak to us, her face was red and she slammed the drink we had been waiting on for 15 minutes on the table. I was in so much shock. The food was not excellent enough to want to chance another experience like this.

Best hooker I ever had!!! Oh and the French toast was good too. I too had a long wait for my food, but was smart enough to receive a BJ in the tiny bathroom by the owner, the crappy hooker. I’m not sure why she refers to herself as the crappy hooker, because she was by far the best I have ever had. Her talents include gargling with maple syrup, bacon grease handies, and whip cream motor boats. Thank you crappy hooker, I will be back!

This restaurant was so chic. When I walked in i felt like I was traveling back in time. Everyone there greeted me with happy faces. Throughout the visit they patted me on my back and told me I was a rockstar. This gave me warm feelings inside. Now the food was just divine! I had the waffle surprise with a side of sausage! They did not mind when I asked for half peaches and half strawberries as my fruit! They were happy to refill my hot chocolates and orange juice. My boyfriend got a hot chicken and vegetable pita! It looked so good! The way the chicken miked with the juices of the peppers and onions was to die for! The service was just fantastic! I would like to begin to talk about their beautiful host! She greeted me with a warm and perky smile. She then sat me at a table right at the window, so I could have the joy of looking outside without being outside. This is great, because I didn’t have to deal with bugs, dirt, wind, sun, rain. I am just the type of person who likes to see outside rather than be there! Our waitress looked a lot like our host, maybe they are sisters? She was very kind! She was also understanding when I didn’t know what I wanted. She then told me her favorite, so I did have help choosing my meal. We enjoyed our meal so much that we decided to being home an oriental salad for the traffic ride home. I got the jalapeño bread as a wonderful side! I give this restaurant a 5⁄5 because the chicken in my salad wasn’t chewy.

Not good. The breakfast burrito was overwhelmed with gravy(and the quality of the gravy was questionable and flavourless). Food took 35 – 40 minutes to arrive after we ordered, which didn’t warrant that much time. The eggs were watery and covered in cheap cooking oil/butter.(It was cheap enough where you couldn’t tell which it was.) The breakfast potatoes were gross: cheap product and no seasoning. Even though the menu is relatively inexpensive, I still felt overcharged. The menu portions are huge, but I didn’t feel like I was getting a deal. The owner would save a lot of money if he or she reconsidered how large the sizes were here. On a positive note, the bacon was surprisingly delicious.

I’ve been here twice now and it’s been good both times. I recommend the waffle surprise and the french toast with fresh strawberries.

Used to be good, not so much anymore. The beer was cool, not cold. I ordered Green Chili, it was gelatinous, NOT homemade. Terrible. My daughter ordered a breakfast plate, the bacon was burnt on the ends, uncooked in the middle. My wife and other daughter split a cinnamon roll, that was dry. Service was more than slow. We sat and waited for anyone to come take a drink order for at least 10 minutes. Bad meal. Bad service. All bad. Avoid this place.

Wish I could review the food, but after 40 minutes of waiting we gave up. Took 15 minutes to seat us. They did not even acknowledge us after we were seated. No water, no nothing. Tried to get service twice… The staff nodded at us then ignored us again. While it was busy, several tables that arrived after us were already getting food by the time we gave up and walked out. The manager refused to even talk to us. It was weird, because we were polite and so were they. We tried to get the attention of waiters a few times. They were very polite when we managed to flag someone down. But then we just sat there some more while they served other tables. I assume they were serving the larger groups first maybe because of the possibility of a bigger tip? I don’t know, but it was rude and unprofessional and we won’t be back. We went to the Red Ram down the street. Awesome food and we were served appetizers within 5 minutes even though they were busy.

We arrived at Happy Cookers at 12:30 pm on a Thursday for lunch, ordered at 12:50 pm and got our food at 1:42 pm. I’m not 100% sure but fairly positive the waiters are also the chefs because everything took forever. Worst customer service around. In fact, two tables got up and left after ordering because it took so long. I guess you get favorable treatment if you sit inside as a table or two who arrived 20 minutes after us managed to order, eat, and pay while we were just beginning to eat. For purposes of clarity, we were a table of 3 people and all ordered sandwiches, nothing complex. I will never be a customer again. I strongly advise you to take your business elsewhere.

If not for exceptionally great service this review would be short of the 4 stars. The food is mostly very good — but on our visit they were still working out some kitchen issues. If you in the area and got a few minutes — THC is worth your time and money.

When you see a local restaurant name on the Interstate exit, your expectation is likely that its probably a special place. We were on the way to Avon from Denver and I had a craving for some blueberry pancakes. Once we sat down and saw the menu, not only do they not have pancakes, no blueberries either(in my mind, completely unacceptable for a small mountain town restaurant). Waffles is their specialty, and I will admit that my Euro waffle was of great consistency. But it was cold when served, and so was the syrup it was served with(a non-starter). I ordered my eggs over firm, and they were runny. With only a few other tables seated, I still had to wave to get the attention of the server to pay the bill. My expectations aren’t extraordinarily high, but this place was pretty much a miss. I noted another small place on the way in to town and reviews for it are stellar.

The restaurant opened at 7 am and we stumbled in at about 730 for a Pre Snowboarding meal. Took a minute to get the hosts attention but she was in the back cleaning. So thats perfectly fine. The Hot Chocolate was mind blowing. I ordered the French Toast with a Side of ham. They bring out fresh maple syrup and Strawberry Syrup made with real strawberries. My Friend ordered this meal with an English Waffle and Eggs and Sausage. It looked delicious as well. My French toast didnt disappoint, and it was a nice side of ham. The whole experience was spot on. And the host was friendly and a doll. And the price cant be beat. When Im in Georgetown next I know where I will be eating at.
