My friend hits me up and asks if I want yoyogi, and I’m like nah man, what about Panera? I’ve got a gift card that we can use! Then he’s like«Outback Steakhouse?!» I’m thinking alright cool. Let’s go. He has a gift card but he completely forgot to use it gh. So he scoops me up like we’re going on a date, and we head to Outback. We catch up about random stuff and then get to the restaurant. He’s such a typical Asian driver gh. We are greeted by two gorgeous hostesses. Shout out to the Indian one. They sit us at some isolated date table. I’m looking over the menu and think that this place is actually pretty dank! He gets the porterhouse 14 oz, whereas I shoot for the NY strip 14 oz. Comes with asparagus and caesar salad. The asparagus sucks. They didn’t cook this jaunt correctly. The caesar salad sucks, too. That lettuce tastes old. Damn am I a foodie now? I finally say that some food sucks. Ugh I’m such a dick sometimes. The steak is pretty dank. You perfected this item! I appreciate that there isn’t too much fat unlike Ruth’s Chris steak house(those pricks at Ruth’s also threw away our tomahawk ribeye bone that we were going to give to t-dub’s dog). I could have eaten three steaks, but instead I order the chocolate thunda from down unda!!!(see below) Everything came out to 41 bucks and 2500+ calories for my tab.

Not impressed. Place is not dirty but certainly not very clean, service very slow(but definitely kind and friendly) and food just OK. Bathrooms not heated and in January it matters. Cloth napkins were wet so my lap was too. Nobody around for 10 minutes to replace it so we swapped it out ourselves. Also, kids sundae consists of a scoop of ice cream and half an oreo. Nothing like the photo. It matters to kids who were mostly ordering it for the whip cream and cherry that don’t come with this. Why show a sundae and then bring a simple scoop of ice cream(and charge for a sundae rather than the scoop of ice cream). I’ve been to one other Outback which was definitely better. I wouldn’t go back and would not recommend this place.

This location is just okay. Our waiter was fine — not overly friendly, but competent. She got all of the orders correct, and refilled our beverages with some dispatch. We got a Bloomin’ Onion, and it came out fresh, hot and delicious. The salads came next, and they were fine — fresh, crisp and delicious. Finally, the main course — the steak. We got the 9-oz sirloins. They were both bland, slightly overcooked(one was ordered medium rare, one medium; we got one medium, one medium-well), and they were both tough. We were surprised at how poorly they were seasoned; proper and bold seasoning is one of the hallmarks of Outback(or so we expected). We ended up using quite a bit of salt and pepper. Overall, the visit was unremarkable — we’re not rushing back, but won’t avoid the place either. In terms of food quality and value, this location rates low — $ 100 including tip for a dinner for 2 adults and one kid, no alcoholic beverages. We were hoping for superlative, friendly service and above-average food quality. We received adequate service and below-average food quality. Your mileage may vary.

Was the worst outback ever, food took forever to come out of the kitchen and when we got it, it was luke warm. Ordered some sides and the portion of veggies was much smaller than when going to any other outback. Food tasted OK, but has been better at any other Outback I have ever been to. Overpriced for the amount of sides received. Server was annoying as he kept coming by to explain at great length why the food is so late. Then did not bring check soon after requesting. Will try to never go here again.

So. I love eating at Outback because the grilled Salmon is the best. Unfortunately the Outback Steakhouse in Germantown, MD does not know how to prepare a well done steak on the first try. My husband always gets a steak that is bleeding. I gave one star because the management and staff are very apologetic about it, but lunch or dinner take an extra hour waiting for them to prepare the steak correctly.

This place is the chain of chains. And it seems like they wrote the play book on bland food, high prices and mediocre service. I had a salad with grilled chicken and it was extremely overpriced for what you get. The lettuce was low quality and so are all the components.

The food was good we ordered unlimited shrimp sirloin fries and outback special dinner. The food was fantastic but service was slow. It was my birthday and the staff knew it but no birthday treat this time for me. Husband ordered 12 Oz sirloin outback special with fries. He asked to get a beer and ketchup for the fries but both arrived after dinner was over. Took forever to her my second serving on unlimited shrimp. My Inlaw’s ordered the outback special and we’re disappointed with the sweet had no seasoning. To make things worse a team of players(15 to 20 people) showed up so the already-understaffed-restaurant now started preparing to make room for them which delayed us even more. My MIL had a birthday cake for me which we had to take home to ger aqat from the noisy players. overall experience was alright but wouldn’t go back there.

The service sometimes is good and other times is horrible. It is the luck of the draw but the food is always good. I love the blooming’ onion and the only time i have had bad food was because the steak wasn’t a good piece of meat and the cow was winning the battle. But they switched it out immediately and brought me another lobster tail

Recently went to Outback with my toddler son and Uncle to celebrate Father’s Day. Walked in at 1pm. No host. I chased my baby around the nearly empty restaurant until a waitress saw us and summoned the host from the back. No problem. We get seated. Waitress was pleasant and took our orders. We waited for our food… and waited… and waited. For a nearly empty restaurant(No exaggeration. Probably only 4 seated tables on our side of the restaurant) I thought we were waiting kind of long. One of the managers must have realized this also, as she came to our table and apologized for the long wait, and offered to comp us desserts. Okay, great. Thank you. No worries. We ate our bread and waited for the entrees. I ordered the rib eye sandwich. It was about $ 12 and SMALL. No reason it should have taken that long to serve. My uncle’s food and my food was lukewarm. The cheese on my sandwich was congealed. Not sure how long my food sat in the back before coming to the table, or if their microwave was malfunctioning. For $ 12, this was NOTWORTHIT. If I wasn’t paying for this with a Father’s Day gift card, I would have been pretty upset at how small this sandwich was. Add a couple of bucks for a soda, and you’re spending $ 15(with tax, not including tip), and you are NOT getting a good deal at all. Only came with fries, and not an additional side, soup, or salad. My uncle said his meal was okay. Seemed happy. My son had a burger that came from the kid’s menu that looked like it could have come from McDonald’s. Again, nothing personal against the waitress or managers. They were all very nice. My plate was just not good. Not sure how they can get away with charging that much for a 6″ sandwich. I didn’t complain because I did eat it. After waiting so long for it, I didn’t want to cause any issues by ordering something different. I’ve had steaks there in the past and have been very happy. So maybe go with a steak. For a decent cheesesteak/ribeye sandwich, go for Jersey Mike’s in the Kentlands! You’ll love it. You can read my review of it. They get the sandwiches perfect!

Finally decided to visit here with my wife. The ambience is OK and the service was pretty decent. Had the deep fried mushrooms to start which were excellent, along with the spicy ranch dip. For my entrée I had chicken and ribs with fries. For the price($ 17), it wasn’t a lot of food compared to other places I’ve been but it was pretty good. They were especially stingy with the amount of fries. My wife said the same thing about her chicken tenders. Overall, for the price we’re unlikely to return here, but it was good food at least.

It was the bomb! Loved it! The food was excellent, especially their lobster tail! There was a drink with passion fruit that was really good and I also had the Trio dessert! It was so yummy. Service was excellent and the manager even came out to greet us. Excellent experience.

My spouse and I decided to give this place another chance. We made it real simple, ordered the Crab and Avocado appetizer even though our server never asked if we wanted an appetizer. We both ordered a 10oz Rib Eye cooked medium(light pink in the middle), wood grilled, with asparagus. The appetizer lacked flavor. The vinaigrette dressing was very weak. The crab and the avocado base were very bland, lacking any sense of identifiable flavor. The steaks were similar in appearance on the plate. One was dark pink in the middle. The other was probably medium pink at best. The juice was red, which should have told the cook something. The meat was missing the wood grilled flavor, though they did season it which I believe was not the option that was asked for. The asparagus was stiff, well done, which means not cooked properly. We will not be back again and waste our hard earned money here.

I’ve been to outback several times because I want to give it the benefit of the doubt but each time I go, I leave disappointed. Strike 1– our server(I can’t even remember her name because she never told us) wasn’t friendly or pleasant at all when she approached our table. There wasn’t a smile or anything welcoming about her. Strike 2– When the sesame salad we ordered arrived, it looked very brown and not fresh at all. It actually looked like bagged lettuce you buy at a grocery store. Furthermore when we told our server that we wanted to order something in place of the salad, she furrowed her brows & rolled her eyes while asking what was wrong with it. Strike 3– After the salad fiasco, the manager/supervisor came out and tried to amend the situation however that attempt was futile since he tried to downplay the situation. He proceeded to tell us that the salad had been«chopped fresh 40 minutes ago» and that it might have looked brown and wilted because of the«dressing, that contained oil». Strike 4– Just when we thought things couldn’t get any worse, my brother asks for a glass of water & the server brings over a pitcher of water & refills one of his used cups that had previously contained lemonade. Besides all of that, the other food we ordered was okay to put it lightly. The buffalo chicken dip was full of grease/oil, so much we had to spoon it out& the steak looked dry. I was in shock after everything we experienced. That was the last straw for me, it’s safe to say I won’t be returning.

Been dining in and doing curb side pick up for about five years. Food and service is always consistent. Sometimes the appetizer bread they give you(complimentary) is cold… Make sure it’s hot every time it makes such a huge difference!!!

I came here with my mom and brother, for his birthday. We have been to this location a few dozen times over decades of living in Germantown. It’s not the greatest spot, but it’s not terrible either. A decent meal can be had for a decent price. The food and service are usually good, and occasionally great or terrible. When it’s terrible, the management does their best to make it right, which is admirable. The wait times are typically ridiculous, which I don’t think is the fault of the restaurant. People obviously come here in droves, especially on weekends. To me, that says 1) the selection of other restaurants is pitiful and/or 2) people really like this place despite less than stellar reviews. I’ve never had a meal here that turned me away for good, but never had one to rave about. It’s just a good, solid American fare type place where everyone at the table can find something to eat, as long as you can handle an occasional hour+ long wait.

Been here several times throughout the years. Today was a special occasion, a birthday. We arrived late afternoon, here is what I experienced. Hostess: Pleasant Wait Staff: Melvin I. Exceptional Service, exceeded my expectations. Was greeted by server within a minute or less of sitting down(that is service!, had other tables too.) We inquired about specials and he mentioned $ 4 starters and drinks!(Pics included) He was kind enough to sing Happy Birthday(I do not believe they typically sing bdays) other staff joined in :). Very up beat, friendly staff I experienced at this location. Melvin was extremely knowledgeable and knew when we needed things without us asking, DIDNOT seem intrusive at all. His timing from serving/refilling drinks to food was on point. Food: 16 oz Prime Rib added Lobster Tail Barrier Trio(Ahi Tuna, Coconut Shrimp, Crab Avacado Tower with chips) Onion Peels $ 4(snack pre dinner) Drink: South Wales Sangria $ 4!!! Happy Hour: yes!!! Price: Varies lots of affordable $ 4 options to moderate prices. Happy Eats!

I went here last Thursday(8÷7÷14) for lunch. The service we had was great, very attentive and took care of us very well. The only reason I’m giving it 3 stars is because of my steak. I ordered medium rare. The steak came out medium… almost well done. I told the server about it, and he immediately took it, and made me a new one w/extra sides(no charge). Of course, I had to wait a bit. The server was very apologetic. We also had the blooming onions, which was good. Aside from the steak being overly cooked, the service and everything was good.

My family keeps coming here because my mother always has gift cards. We’re a steak family, and if there’s a deal going on, we’re there. Service is hit or miss at this location, our server today was okay, but not spectacular. She passed the water rule, but just barely. The thing I hated the most was waiting forever for our main entrees. Once the phones come out because of boredom, they don’t go away. My mother even learned how to play candy crush because of waiting. We also had to wait for our desserts. I was not the happiest camper there. Food at chain restaurants like Outback are pretty standard. You’re not going to get blown away by the food very often. But, to be fair, since I wasn’t feeling like steak today, I got the Sweet Chili Shrimp and Chicken and it was good! The chicken was tender and the shrimp was cooked well. The mixed veggies were cooked perfectly. The rest of my family enjoyed their steaks. At least, I heard no complaints. The cheesecake is delicious by the way!
