Passing through town, got hungry, saw the good rating and decided to check it out. Flavorful toppings(the spiced chickpeas were great), quick friendly service, several vegan options, the mozzarella balls are delicious, local small-batch tea options… And very reasonable prices. What’s not to like? Looking at the menu, I feel like I could eat here several times, try something different each time and probably like them all. I had no choice but to add myself to the list of fans of this place.

Eat at this location yesterday and the food and service was fantastic. They really went above and beyond, especially explaining how their new menu has changed. Very impressed, as I always am with this location. Not like the Old Georgetown Road location — what a disaster that one is. I will come back to this location from now on!

First time here at &Pizza and WOW! I was really expecting a shit show and soggy crust but that is the opposite of what I got. I ordered a pizza with broccoli(my fave) vegan cheese(non dairy and non soy so my tummy is grateful) tomatoes bacon and pepperoni. ABSOLUTELYDELICIOUS! I was sure my pizza was going to be weighed down by the toppings but the knowledgeable staff knew exactly how much and where to put the toppings. The interior was clean and modern and the staff was friendly and helpful. I will be coming back now that I live in the area again.

So I accidentally had an obscene amount of carbs today… But &pizza was well worth it. plus I promise to gym-it tomorrow(haha.hopefully) So Of course, I like the food here… nobody has a bad word to say about the food itself. You can tailor it to your own preference/mood/dietary requirements/etc…and then, helplessly consume the pizza at the eatery itself, or take it back home and devour it like you’re some type of wild animal who just caught its prey. I usually prefer the 2nd option :) My only«negative» Unilocal is that I wish the service people there were consistently friendly. No one was particularly rude, but the guy working there was awkwardly short with me when I was placing my order, and it wasn’t even busy at the time. It all started when he indistinctly mumbled something when I walked through the door. Im graciously assuming he said«welcome to &pizza». Thankfully, he warmed up a little when cashing me out. and even made some suggestions on other toppings I could add to my pizza. His attitude positively shifted after another employee(possibly manager?) walked over to assist in moving the line. Do I necessarily need a cheerful greeting when entering &pizza? No…but I do love consistency. When two male customers walked through the door right after me, this same young man was more than enthusiastic in greeting them. Do I think his attitude was something personal? No, but Maybe I was just so «intimidatingly beautiful»(insert sarcasm here) when I strolled in with my curly hair, thick glasses, and faded yoga pants, all while having a quizzical expression on my face and walking with a slight limp(cause I twisted my ankle yesterday). BTW, pizza heals ankle sprains #medical facts ;) So I just really came for my treatment haha. Overall, This place still gets 4 stars. but I suggest that the workers should always ask the customers if they’ve been to &pizza before… cause you can get a «deer-caught-in-the-headlights» mindset if you’re NOT familiar with the«process».

Let’s just start we the fact that we were greeted with a smile and asked if it was our first time.(Yes it was) Jerica went over the menu the options. We went to order and the gentleman making our pizza explained the doughs made suggestions and let us sample the different sauces. We went with ½ 1⁄2 to get the most out of it. We got the original crust with tomatoe sauce and garlic sauce drizzle(u can mix/match, on my half I got spinach, sautéed onions, fresh mozzarella and tomatoes w spicy shrimp. My son got 4 cheese blend with bacon pepperoni and mini meatballs. Once it was done I topped my half with fresh goat cheese … Drinks. Yea they make their own soda and your ENCOURAGED to try em all and mix n match. I got the pear and pomegranate I fussed(yummmm) at the end I found out that Jerica is actually the manager. The attention the service the food the freshness the place was clean. I’m a new fan.

My fabulous hair stylist(shout out to EricaStyle!) lives in my neighborhood and told me that this place was a must try. So I went straight from the salon today and and checked it out. Boy, was she right! Each pizza is made to order and you can pick from dozens of toppings(most of which do not cost extra). I knew off the bat that I was NOT sharing so I ordered two. They are shaped kind of like flatbreads and two people MIGHT be able to share one, but not without fighting over who gets the last slice! Why entertain those kinds of problems if you don’t have to? I ordered boyfriend a pizza with traditional red sauce, mozzarella, spinach, roasted peppers, onions, Italian sausage, smoked bacon, parmesan, roasted garlic oil, sundried tomatoes, and cracked pepper. I ordered mine with the tomato and olive sauce(YUM!), four cheese blend, spinach, roasted peppers, onions, beef meatballs, parmesan, feta, fig marsala sauce, sundried tomatoes, olive and arugula. That was one of the best pizzas I have ever had. EVER! So freakin good! Boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed his as well. I also got two of the iced teas in mason jars. Mint tea for him and Lemongrass and Peach Tea for me. The mint tea was good but there was a lot going on with the lemongrass tea. Very complex flavor. A lot going on. It was unsweetened, so I took it home and added some honey and Jack Daniels to it. Ahhh… much better! Forget Papa Johns, Dominoes, and all those other places. I’ll be getting my pizza fix here from now on!

I’ve been to this location a few times over the past several months. Overall, they offer delicious made-to-order pizza with prompt service. Anytime someone from out of town comes to visit, I usually bring them here to experience the novelty of picking out all of their toppings and having the pie ready within minutes. I don’t have a usual order. I used to get the Farmer’s Market pizza, but it was recently removed from the menu. Since then, I usually just order whatever strikes my fancy. Most recently, I ordered a traditional pie with classic tomato sauce and roasted garlic purée with fresh mozz and Quattro formaggi cheese. Since toppings are unlimited, I ordered almost everything under the moon — artichoke hearts, broccoli florets, spinach, caramelized onions, fresh mushrooms, goat cheese, sundried tomatoes, arugula, pepperoni, crumbled beef meatballs, and an oozy sunnyside egg. Everything was fresh and perfectly cooked in the conveyor belt oven. It only takes a few minutes to cook, which is pretty impressive! I much prefer &pizza over establishments like Blaze Pizza. They offer a larger, much more interesting selection of toppings, and I find their pizza much more filling than Blaze’s. I’ve also tasted &pizza’s gluten-free crust, and it’s pretty darn good. It’s 1⁄5 smaller than their regular crust and not quite as chewy and doughy as the regular crust, but I’m pretty impressed with it. It’s tough to accomplish a halfway decent gluten-free pizza crust. Blaze Pizza’s g-free crust is like a cracker. Although I’m impressed that they offer a pretty decent g-free crust, it would be nice if they took more precautions on preventing contamination with the other ingredients.(Maybe changing their gloves when working with a g-free crust would be a nice start!) However, if you’re simply sensitive to gluten and don’t have Celiac’s(gluten allergy), this should be okay. When I ordered my gluten-free pizza, the person preparing my pie informed me that their meatballs contained bread crumbs with gluten. That was a good catch! The restaurant is generally clean, and they offer a fair amount of seating. For the warmer months, there are some outdoor tables. Inside, there’s seating along the windows facing the street and some long communal tables in the center of the room. It’s a narrow space so they make good use of what’s available. They also serve salads and ready-made desserts like cookies. Recently, they’ve started selling bottled signature iced teas. I’ve tasted the Smoke + Aces, which has a unique smoky flavor that enhances the subtle sweetness of the tea.(This would be delicious with some liquor!) I also like their soda fountain, which has some really interesting housemade craft sodas. I’ve tried them all but my favorite is the burdock + anise root beer. If you like root beers with a little bite, then you’ll like this. This is a very convenient location since it offers plenty of parking in the lot next door, which it shares with the Safeway, as well as along the street. There’s plenty of other restaurants in the area, as well as a beer and liquor store, the local library, a Regal movie theater, and the Blackrock Center for the Arts. I would love to give this location 5 stars, but I think the staff could use a little work on being friendlier and keeping better track of their customers’ orders. I came in with some family members last week. Since my husband and I knew what we wanted, we ordered first. The other 3 in my group let a few other customers order before them. When it was time to pay, they paid for 5 pizzas even though we had already paid for our own. Luckily, we caught this mistake before we left. If we hadn’t, no one else would have known to correct this.

I’ve come in a few times while I wait for my prescriptions to get filled at Safeway. Each time service has been phenomenal. Fast, personable and helpful when you’re not quite sure what to order. I’m not much of a soda drinker but I’ll down 3 of their cherry colas in one sitting easily. Extra points for the garlic oil. Id say it’s like the classier older sibling to that garlic dipping sauce from that one chain pizza delivery ;) seriously, I ask for extra and they even give you some on the side for dipping. Yes please!

*****3.5 stars***** I love me some &pizza. However, compared to other locations that I’ve been to, this one has to be the worst. Understaffed at 6:30pm on Saturday. I saw a few people leave because it took some time for the line to move. Although I stated I would like a Maverick, the lady behind the counter asked me a couple of times what toppings I wanted. When it came time to pay, the cashier(who was also putting the finishing touches on pizzas) looked frantic. On the bright side, the pizza was still as good as I remembered. Thank goodness! I also grabbed a salted chocolate chip cookie and spiced Thai handcrafted tea. Both relatively new &pizza offerings. I thought the cookie was just okay. Reminded me of a shortbread cookie rather than a chocolate chip one. Hoping the spiced Thai tastes good!

It is no surprise to me that the Germantown location of &pizza ended up being the worst one I’ve tried yet(out of many). I used to live in this area, and this area sucks. But still, I end up with a four star rating, and myself and my fellow diners were all quite satisfied with our assembly line pizzas and house sodas at a very reasonable price. The downsides were that they didn’t have any traditional crusts available(which was fine for me, because I like the ancient grains one anyway), and they were out of basil too. Also, I received the worst service I’ve ever had at an &pizza, which amounted to not quite enough employees on the pizza line, and the one who was there asking me repeatedly to list out toppings I wanted and reaching for onions instead of peppers when I gave the list. I picked one stray onion out of my pizza. All of which goes to say, a bad day at &pizza is still a pretty good day. My increasingly standard order of spicy sauce, peppers, mushrooms, spinach, arugula, falafel, and chickpeas(with a few other fixins) offers perhaps the most balanced pizza-based meal I could hope for, is incredibly filling, and tastes better than any fast casual food has a right to.

In the world we live in now it’s hard to find nice caring people. The man who helped us yesterday at &Pizza was the kindest person you could find. We are all too quick to expose wrong doing and people who are disrespectful why not give credit where credit is due also. Great guy! As always the food was great.

I see what the hoopla is over &pizza. It’s awesome, quick made-to-order thin crust pizza. Fresh toppings! And cost just about $ 9! It’s not the best pizza you’ll ever eat, but it’s good for fast food. Compared to Blaze Pizza(at Montgomery Mall), &pizza has more interesting toppings and sauces to choose from. They give you a mini clipboard listing all their items. You go through the line and choose whatever toppings you want. Putting together the pizza can be pretty quick, but that also depends on how decisive you and the other folks are in choosing toppings. Then it takes about 2 minutes for it to go through the conveyor belt oven. They have signature pizzas to choose from or you can create your own. I made my own, selecting the traditional dough with the classic tomato sauce, a little bit of spicy tomato sauce, and mozzarella. I topped it off with both types of mushroom blend, broccoli, caramelized onions, and bacon with a drizzle of the red pepper chili oil. Turned out to be a pretty tasty pizza. However, the chili oil was a little too spicy for me! Even though it’s unlimited toppings, don’t pile on too much or the pizza will become a soggy mess. The pizza itself is big enough to share between two people. They also have salads and dessert pizzas, but I didn’t try those. I’m not a fan of their table set up. I don’t mind the communal table, but there doesn’t seem to be a lot of space.

Plenty of parking Located at the corner, next to safeway, toward near corner bakery and not the gas station. Make your own pizza store(chipotle style pizza) You can choose your dough(traditional or ancient grain/wheat?), sauce(lots of options, and many many toppings. They also can put more than one sauce on your dough if you like and you can make a half and half pizza :) After you choose all your toppings it goes through the oven belt and then you are at another station with the finishing toppings(toppings you do not cook– arugula, crumbled cheese, oils, etc). They also have signature pizzas, so if you aren’t sure how you’d like to make it then you can choose from the signatures and are able to add and take off items. dough, sauce, and cheese is $ 6.84 before tax and signatures and make your own pizzas are $ 8.96 before tax They also have dessert pizza I’ve tried 5 different signature pizzas and they have all been really good! They may forget to add stuff(it’s happened to me), but if they forgot something you can always mention it to them or get it on the side! :) Service is great! Staff was really friendly and helpful!

If the Subway sandwich artisans made great pizza instead of crappy sandwiches, you would have &pizza! This place exceeded expectations. It’s good ‘za, made fast. Let me explain the process to newbies, as comparing this to a Chipolte isn’t fair since the mexican joints are just throwing junk in a tortilla, it doesn’t have to look nice at the end. & pizza has a very efficient assembly line-up with someone waiting to help you at several stations. This is key as there are places like Café Rio that completely drop the ball on efficiency, and then places like Chop’t and Chipolte that seem to do it well. First you choose your dough. I got the wheat(Grains) version. The Dough Boy passes you on to the Sauce Man… The Sauce Man let’s you choose from 8 or so different sauces. Some nice looking options there. I like it Spicy so I went with the Spicy Tomato! Now you’re headed on to Cheese Girl… Cheese Girl let’s you choose between Homemade Mozz, a 4 cheese mix and some other kind of Mozz. You now move on to Veggie & Meat Lady. Now, to be accurate, I’m not sure if Cheese Girl did the Veggies or Meat Lady did the veggies. Either way they have you covered… Here is the part I like. If you do a «build your own» pizza, which I did, you don’t get nickled and dimed on every topping. And they don’t do anything stupid like tell you there are 3 included toppings and everything else is extra. Someone smart recognized that there is only so much that can fit on your narrow piece of dough, so the sky is the limit! Put whatever you want on the pie. Create your own pizza art. Meat & Veggie Ladies are set up with a wide array of basic and fancy vegetables and proteins. There are some really nice options here. I had their wild mushroom blend, some artichoke, some roasted peppers and then had them crumble up a meat ball. There are a lot of good options to consider. It now goes into the oven to be received at the other end by «The Polisher.» …Okay, that’s what I’m calling her. But this is the Finishing station and you can take your pizza to the next level. I just got some oregano oil on the side to dip in and had some sun-dried tomatoes added on top. But the girls next to me basically got a salad built on top of their pizza when they added Arugula, tomatoes and some goat or feta cheese. Add a flavorful oil on top and you get a really nice entrée here. The pizza was $ 8.96($ 9) before tax and the craft soda was $ 2.36 which came out to a $ 12 lunch after tax. I think for $ 12 it was a a great value. If you just got a plain cheese pizza the price is $ 6.84($ 7) for the pizza so I think you’d get out for 10 bucks. Pizza was great! Crust was crisp and thin but also had a little dough chewiness to it. It is all made fresh in house at the dough making station in the back. They are not receiving balls of dough from a factory somewhere like so many other pizza places do. They make it. The craft sodas were unique and enjoyable. They’d be great with vodka. Did I say that? Give it a try. It’s a great addition to Germantown. There are way too many main stream boring chains in this town.

I was in the area doing some shopping and knew that this place had recently opened. I had never tried their pizza before and wanted to see what all the hype was about. It was not hard finding the place — it is right at the corner of Century Blvd and Town Commons Drive, with 2 entrances to the restaurant. Parking was easy on a weekend — there is street parking and you can also park in a lot that is shared with Navy FCU and Safeway. I entered through the door on Century Blvd, and once in the restaurant, I thought I was going through the back entrance(that is the look that part of the place gave me). There is a long table with several chairs to your right and to the left of that table is where you would line up to order your food. Menus are available for you to grab and look at, so I grabbed one and decided to get out of the line since I didn’t know what to order. Note that the place is very small. Seems more like a carryout than a restaurant — there are only a few tables in the place overall. You can order a salad(choose from 3), have them make a pizza with your choice of dough, sauce, spread, cheese or toppings, or order a Signature pizza(8 to choose from). On this visit, I decided to try one of their Signature Pizzas called the Maverick. It has Classic Tomato, Housemade Mozzarella, Salami, Pepperoni, Hot Sausage, Parmesan Reggiano, and Oregano Oil. You get to choose the dough your pizza will be made on and I got the Traditional(I figure I wanted to keep one item I knew of). I don’t like anything spicy and so I was going to switch out the Hot Sausage for Meatballs, but decided not to do it at the last minute. I am so glad I decided not to change anything. They also had some housemade sodas. There were a few on their menu that I wanted to try, but once I took a taste of the first one I picked(Mango & Passion Fruit), the others didn’t have a chance(well they didn’t have a chance today). That soda was delicious and I don’t drink sodas as much anymore(this might have to be an exception). I took my pizza to go… big mistake. Want to know why? Well, this pizza was delicious and after going back to my ride and tasting it, I wanted to eat the pizza and not drive. I really enjoyed the pizza and this housemade soda… so good. The Hot Sausage, had a tiny kick to it, but I was able to manage it. The green sauce they added to the pizza was great(I might ask for more of that sauce on my next visit). I did not want to put the pizza down — that is how good it was. Never try to drive and eat pizza(It wasn’t me — in my Shaggy voice). I will try another Signature Pizza on my next visit. Here is something to ponder: Is Housemade a word? I thought it was Homemade. Anyways, still good food.

We couldn’t wait for the Gaithersburg(Crown) location to open, so we ventured out to the new Germantown location, rather trying to park in Bethesda. Overall it’s a great new addition to the Germantown plaza. Street parking is typically easy, and tons of windows for you to notice &pizza quickly. Upon walking in, you’ll need to walk to the end of the restaurant to get in line, which is a little different. As like all other &pizza locations, you grab a clipboard full of dough, sauce, cheese, veggies and meat toppings, as well as other stuff that you can get(salad, beverages, dessert) on the bottom. Expect a wait if you come here during typical lunch/dinner time, usually about 5 – 10 minutes. The ingredients were noticeably fresh and the service was outstanding. We stuffed our pizzas with spinach, arugula, bacon, hot sausages, red onions, pineapple salsa, and most importantly, tomato olive pesto sauce. Yum! You could tell the energy in the air for it being a new location. Our pizzas from beginning to the end took about 10 minutes(including waiting, ordering, cooking and checking out) on a Sunday night, so it wasn’t too bad. The house soda was decent, though they had one beverage choice out of order and no lids left, which is really difficult for us to take our leftover soda, as well as a few customers who got to-go orders stuck holding their soda cup. Not pretty. Stop by during non-busy hours at this location for next month or two, because most customers I saw were new, meaning staff members had to explain to each person how the process works, which can take precious time away. Don’t expect Chipotle speed here. DC locations for example, go really fast(though still plenty crowded) due to the experienced customers.
