Very unique ambiance. Looks like a mine, and is tucked into the middle of a cheap-ass Quality Inn off the beaten path. Small selection at the bar-only two bars on tap, but they have a good selection of bottles. Very dark interior, but it’s a nice place to drink.

No food… yet… Just chips and pretzels upon request. BUT, you can bring in pizza or anything else you want to eat. They have a tv and fireplace. LOVE it here! Stay at the Quality Inn and you can walk to your room… it’s on the property. Open until midnight ish… closed Sunday.

Sociable bartender, cheap drinks(1.50 for victory summer love to 4 – 5 for an ever changing variety of craft beer), great low key atmosphere. And how fun is it to drink in a mine?! I expected this to be pretty cheesy, I have to admit, but I loved the bar. If I lived in this area, I’d come here all the time. Plus, if you buy a certain beer, they donate to breast cancer research!

Gettysburg National Civil War Battlefield… and coal mine. The décor alone is worth a stop. Short of black lung and losing limbs in a cave-in, this place feels just like a mine. Only in this mine, drinking OTJ is encouraged. They did look at me funny when I brought my own canary and pick axe. Offered me a beer on the house to stop mining in the middle of the floor.

The Reliance Mine Saloon is a great place to go have a beer and listen to tour guides debate obscure topics of the battle. The décor is dark, but the beer is inexpensive and there is never a crowd.
