We came here by default after the other two pubs in the area(both with higher Unilocal reviews) had long waits. One pub with a four ½ star rating had an hour and a half wait! There weren’t too many other places to go So yes, there seems to be a dearth of dining destinations in Gettysburg! So The Pub it was, which is conveniently located in the town square(which is actually a circle!) The Pub is actually a quaint looking place. It is actually much more inviting than the Blue and Grey Pub across the square, which looks like a bare room with people and tv’s shoved inside There was about a two minute wait and we were seated promptly. The Pub has a huge menu with apps, salads, pizzas, burgers, and mains. We could not resist starting with some Pretzel Twists: garlic and butter pretzels served piping hot with homemade marinara sauce. I did not love the sauce but the pretzels were on par with the best soft pretzels I have had from a cart in NYC! Our server was nice enough to bring us tastes of the Crab Chowder. It was not cream based and had plenty of crab but it was a little spicy for my taste that night. Instead, three of us went with French Onion Soup, which was flavorful without being too salty. For mains we stuck with sandwiches and salads. Husband ordered Grimster’s Beef: Pulled beef brisket, onions, and Monterey Jack Cheese on a baguette. Tasty, but messy. 11 year old had the«Tri-me»: Grilled turkey, ham, provolone, lettuce, & tomato on pretzel bread. Simple but satisfying. I ordered the Reuben Salad(basically a Rueben in a bowl): Corned beef, Swiss cheese, lettuce & tomato, homemade rye croutons, and Rueben slaw(which I had on the side). Interesting twist to a salad but I was so full from the soup that just picked at it. 12 year old also did not eat much of his burger, although it was probably not the restaurant’s fault. Service was a little jumbled. We had to ask for place setting go and drink refills. Overall, The Pub served the purpose of getting fed that night but it is not a place I would run back to…3 ½ stars.

I never got to the meal. I inconvenienced the bartender by ordering a beer that was out on tap(Bud Light!?). I asked for a Blue Moon instead. Also out. I did get a load of attitude when he informed me everything was fixed 5 minutes later. Anyway, the bartender is an asshole and there are 30 restaurants in a 1 mile radius. Go somewhere else. Anywhere.

Great food, nice atmosphere! Stopped in for a drink at the bar to get out of the rain when we first arrived in town. We liked it so much we came back the next day for lunch. Thank you Terry Harner for giving us a great tip and were to eat when we arrived in Gettysburg!

The food here is delicious, the service is what is lacking. The Pub and Restaurant offer an amazing location right on the square in Gettysburg, we dining outside for lunch on June 10th. The menu is extensive and offers so many choices, all three of ours were very good. The carrot cake is THEBEST and very large! I think with a bit more service training this place would be a five star pub! We all agreed we would return to see if the service had gotten better as the food is addictive and full of flavor!

As a Gettysburg native I can say that The Pub serves crappy food at tourist prices. Trying it out for my first time I got the fish and chips. The fish and chips contained of mahi mahi that cannot be deep fried. Otherwise the service was very long. Go to TGI Friday’s instead!

My wife’s favorite restaurant in the area. My personal favorites are the French Onion soup and pretzels. We have never gotten anything we were dissatisfied with. Worth the wait… if there is one.

This was my first time here– service was wonderful. Bar drinks were a little sweet, but plenty of beers. Our food was okay– a $ 32 New York strip entrée was woefully under seasoned, but cooked to temperature. The fries are great! My husband enjoyed his shrimp linguine. We will return, but I will definitely get something other than the steak. Some listed dessert items were unavailable, and most surfaces(tables, floors, seats) were VERY sticky. My knife was not sharp and I had to ask for another.

Food was super salty. Place was crowded. I ordered the New York Strip and the silverware is so cheap it was hard to cut. This place was expensive for the food that was presented.

In town for a TRiO conference and had to try this place for dinner. Had to say I wasn’t sure about this place when I looked up the reviews. But I was not disappointed at all. Had the Hawaiian met and homemade chips totally excited about the choice. Good food, cool atmosphere. Ever in Gettysburg definitely visit this spot.

The food was strange in that it had little to no flavor or freshness. The burgers were very dry. The bloody mary was watery. The worst part was that the silverware was dirty. I asked for a new set and that was dirty too. I thought they’d at least check for food pieces on the replacements, but they did not. It was not cheap and we were still hungry when we left.

Lincoln Square LUNCHTIME! Price: Look to spend about $ 10 per entry. Parking: Street. Food: Their menu selection is huge! I couldn’t decide what to order. In the end, I ordered fries and chicken and I have to say it was actually pretty good! Not amazing, but good. My friends also thought their food was okay.

Pub Grub On a very busy Sunday afternoon we stop in Gettysburg at the Pub. The Pub was very busy with a large noisy crowd in both the bar and the restaurant. Our orders of a Patty Melt and a Grimster were served hot accompanied with very good sides. I can’t explain why the kitchen was so slow to get out our orders, but, everyone else waited in the restaurant waited as well. If the long wait was due to a very large Sunday crowd or a very slow kitchen, I just don’t know. Even with these issues, The Pub was a very good choice for us on a Sunday afternoon.

Yeah!!! Currently road tripping. This was across the street from, not a good place to stay, but this pub… you nailed it all. Good atmosphere with a good use of space. The music was good for me and my dad didn’t mind it. Dad«It’s not the Beatles but I like it.» The waiter, who kinda looked like Bill Gates, was quick. I think I had my menu closed about a minute. The beer menu didn’t have anything that said IPA on tap and he recommended something, wish I could remember, but it was totally on point. I love BBQ. Could live on pulled pork sandwiches. This one was off the charts. Top notch. On what I think was a soft pretzel roll. With excellent cole slaw and beer battered fries. Really. I think this was one of the best pub meals I ever had. A bit pricy. But well worth every dollar. Thanks for making the first dinner of my road trip awesome.

This chic shabby pub is located in Lincoln Square in Gettysburg and is the square’s best place to grab a quick appetizer, huge salad, a sizzling pizza, juicy burger, stacked sandwich, bowl of hot soup, and/or depending how hungry you are a yummy entrée. My Mother and I always eat here when we visit the square – we come strictly for the wineries, however, the food here is good too =) Plus, after completing two tastings at two different wineries which are right next to each other, we obviously need food to soak up the alcohol before our two hour ride back home and this is the place to eat! Out of all the times we have been here we have yet to see the«Mural Room,» which according to the employees looks like a Disney princess room with big beautiful mirrors and gold settings. Every time we are there, there is some sort of event that is taking place up there – must be pretty! A quick fun fact was that the bar tender stated that the entire pub was destroyed by a fire in 2001 and has been completely rebuilt to look like an exact replica which was opened in 2002 – there are images on their website if you’re some sort of pyro or just interested in seeing what a burning building looks like.

Killer fries and French onion soup. Overall had a great experience here and will go back next time we are in Gettysburg. A little pricy but well worth the quality of food.

Friendly service, but the food just isn’t anything to write home about. I had two meals here in August and, well, they just didn’t give me any reason to return.

We parked by The Pub, it was a Sunday, and today it’s free parking! We walked around first, to see what other restaurants looks good, we went around the Lincoln Square. But, in the end, we came back to The Pub, for some reason, we don’t know. It was crowded, and I asked if we could have the window seat. Yes, there’s a window seat. Already, I’m getting what I want, that’s a start! Our salad came with a small piece of a pretzel, the dressing was excellent, we both ate EVERYTHING there! The Cream of Crab, we ordered one in a cup, to share, they gave us 2 cups, one of each, and they didn’t charge us for that! I ended up eating all of mine. I ordered the Spinach Stuffed Chicken, which all came without much waiting for the other, and my husband ordered the Blackened Catfish, he said his was excellent, also! Our drinks, he said his tasted better, mine tasted BETTER, and we both ordered the Cocktail. I liked the box for my leftover chicken, it would fit very nicely on the cooler(lunch bag) that I brought in our trip. I went upstairs to use the bathroom. I took more photos upstairs, and more of the ‘aerial view’ of the Lincoln Square. We wanted to stop by there again, for take-out salad, since our salad was so good, last night, as we drive out of Gettysburg and onward bound to Niagara Falls BUTTHEY’RENOTOPENFORLUNCH!

I like this place. I’ve been here a couple of times over the years and have liked the meals I have gotten. Service is a little on the slow side, but knowing that, I plan for it. I’m usually on the road out this way around lunch time and will admit, I found myself drawn in the first time because of the décor. Now I come back because it’s easy to get to and I like their sandwiches.
